--- Chapter 54 ---
Sole: Alright anyone got a strategy?
Bandage: Nope, not at all.
Sole: Oh. Ok. What's your name anyway?
Bandage: The names Santiago, but you can just call me San. And I already know your name.
???: Were not calling you San.
Sole: Why what does that mean Ralbi?
Ralbi: Nothing, dont worry about it.
Their cart continues for a couple hours. Until they reach the bar in the middle of the desert. As they arrive, by a stroke of luck or misfortune, their target is heading to the bar. They all hop out and head to the man walking. He stops as they begin to walk up to him. He's a lot taller, and much more muscly than them. His face stays facing forward but his eyes look down at them.
Elias: Matsuburo Nordate, you're under arrest.
Matsuburo: Arrest? Let me fill you in on something. I don't try and hide.
Elias backs up a bit, uneasy.
Matsuburo: Since I don't hide, people like you come often. Can you tell how i'm not caught yet?
He says drawing a large sword from behind his back, cracking a grin. The sword stained red. In response, Elias summons his blades, Santiago and Ralbi draw their blades as well. Ralbi looks at Elias and he nods. With incredible speeds, they run in and hit this guy with their weapons. To their surprise, they were stopped. Their weapons made contact, but the blades just sat on top of his skin, not slashing or piercing. Matsuburo looks down at them with a grin. He swings his large sword, causing them to jump back swiftly.
Matsuburo: How disappointing. Another pursuer that can't even scratch me. Though, I guess Iko will get more food.
He says looking at his sword. Santiago grabs at his bandaged face, and pulls some of it down, revealing a normal, rugged face.

Santiago: God it's really hard to fight and breathe in that thing.
Ralbi gets a fearful face, realising something. He dashes at quick speeds and grabs Elias and Sole and begins running.
Elias: Hey what are you- ow- what are you doing?
Ralbi: He took off his bandages!
Elias: So?
Ralbi: Santiago cant get it in his thick skull that he HAS an arcana. All those symbols on his bandages are sealing every ounce of his arcana.
Elias: And? What's his arcana? Why does it need to be completely sealed? And if he doesn't think he has one, why is he even wearing it?!
Ralbi: We told them they are lucky symbols, cause he thinks he's just unlucky. His arcana is more of a theory. Chaos builds up all around us, and luck is metaphysical. His arcana causes chaos to increase to a snapping point around him, making it seem like he's just really unlucky. I think we're out of the blast radius, just watch.
Santiago: I wonder what their deal is? Eh, whatever.
As he says this, a loud bang is heard, and Matsuburo begins to fall as these sand falls, causing him to be stuck.
Santiago: Wow, these luck symbols really work! The limestone cracked causing a massive sinkhole all around me but I didn't get hit!
Matsuburo: Damn, that was lucky.
Mastuburo quickly lears up towards him, but gets smacked by large pieces of falling rock from the building next to them breaking.
Matsuburo: What the hell?!
Matsuburo leaps out of the sand pit to the side near some natural stone pillars.
Crack
The stone pillars crack and fall into Matsuburo. But he swiftly brings his sword around, destroying the falling pillars. The rocks scatter everywhere, smacking into the sand. This is followed by a massive explosion, sending him flying with sand and even shards of glass.
Santiago: Holy crap! You're a really unlucky man, AHAHEHE! When the stones hit the sand it must have made a spark and lit a gas leak, ehehehe.

Chaotic happenings happen all around santiago, from the building being destroyed to multiple explosions, sand pits, not just things happening to Matsuburo.
Mastsuburo: This guy. Despite being annoying, I'm not even scratched, hehe.
Ralbi: God damn it Santiago! Put your damn face mask on!
(Do it -_-)
Santiago: Fine Fine.
He puts it back on, and reality seems to stabilize.
Matsuburo: That's a crazy skill you got there ahaha.
Ralbi: That explosion sent him away pretty far. Now I can finally use my arcana.
Ralbi whispers to Elias and Sole.
Elias: Are you sure? I don't want to catch anyone in the radius.
Elias whispers back. Sole sits here clueless.
Ralbi: Should be ok.
Elias: Should be- Ok. Just try it, cause right now we cant even give him a paper cut.
Ralbi begins to run in. Matsuburo brings his sword up to swing but Ralbi jumps. Matsuburo is confused and smirks as he starts to bring his sword up.
Ralbi: My arcana-
Ralbi starts to glow, sending out beams of light.
Matsuburo: Hm?
Ralbi: BOMBARDMENT!
Matsuburo gets a confused look on his face before his eyes go wide. Centering on Ralbi is a MASSIVE explosion. Smoke fills the area. Ralbi is standing there coughing a bit. Matsuburo cant be seen. Ralbi turns around to face Elias and Sole. He gives a thumbs up. But behind him, Matsuburo’s silhouette rises. A sword pierces Ralbi from behind.
Ralbi: How- how are you- still-
He turns back and looks at Matsuburo. His skin has cracks running through it. The cracks begin to seal themselves. Ralbi feels a pain surging through his body beyond just the stab wound. He sees his sword growing. The blood from the wound starts to turn a yellowish orange. With his speed he quickly pulls the blade out, as there was a lot more damage than was being seen.
Matsuburo: Heh, so you noticed. My sword, Demon Blade Iko, uses the blood of its victims. It takes the iron in your blood and uses it to grow.
Ralbi: His attacks are turning my blood into plasma. Dammit. And it's another hour before I can explode!
Matsuburo: Go on, hit me, come on. Your explosion was the biggest thrill I had in ages. What, cant you do it again?
Ralbi: …
Matsuburo: Well, thats a shame. Seems you no longer have use to me!
He yells swinging his blade at fast speeds, faster than Ralbi could react. But before it hit him, Elias appears in front of him, with his blades crossed, and Iko resting in its valley.
Elias: You ok Ralbi?
Ralbi: Yah, I'm fine.
Elias: Good, you should get back, I didn't think I’d have to give it my all.
Ralbi: Your all? Ok.
Ralbi gets back. Matsuburo brings his sword back.
Matsuburo: You're all huh? Heh, let's see it.
Matsuburo says with a smile. Elias brings his weapons up in front of him and closes his eyes. The air pressure around Elias begins to swirl violently. Matsuburo looks at him with a “what?” expression.
Elias: Amaterasu, shed your eternal divine light on this battlefield. Tsukuyomi, plunge the battle field into the depths of our darkness.
The weapons begin to glow a radiant light and a spectral darkness respectively.
Elias: Together, Eclipse this world in the limbo between. RELEASE! ECLIPSE BLADES!
The former dagger sized weapons are now the size of full swords, their colors a combination of each other.
Elias: Now, I’m ready. Matsuburo.
Matsuburo: So, you're that intune with your thousand arms. Good, this might actually be fun.

To Blunt The Sharpest Claw
The Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels are a series of New Fable genre novels that involve cats and dogs and high adventure and romance and espionage and food-fights and hotels and explosions and car chases. With large casts, exotic locations and an absurdity only possible in the absence of human characters, the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels blend Wind in the Willows with James Bond, though with more cafes and fewer badgers. This submission is the third title in its Morigan Trilogy, beginning two-thirds of the way through the series' longest adventure yet. Here's a quick recount of what's happened so far: When Oscar Teabag-Dooven, a Velvet Paw of Asquith, is ordered to investigate how a mysterious poet, the Ar'dath-Irr, is able to travel instantaneously around the world, two very bad things happen. Firstly, he meets Lydia, an insane librarian who punches everyone in the face, and secondly, the Ar'dath-Irr reveals he is intent on taking over the world. Although this second thing might be considered worse than the first, Oscar feels differently following Lydia’s destruction of a cafe, a library and his face in one afternoon. In comparison, thwarting world domination just seems easier. Along with Binklemitre, a fellow Velvet Paw of Asquith, and Lydia, Oscar infiltrates the Ar’dath-Irr’s realm of dark poetry to discover the dog not only intends wrenching the world apart but has no intention of cleaning up afterwards. As a result, Oscar decides it’s all too hard and goes home to have a bath. After lots of arguing and the sort of food fight that posh restaurants were invented for, Lydia and Binklemitre convince him that they must stop the Ar’dath-Irr for several reasons, one of them quite serious. A vibrant cast of characters collide as Oscar, Lydia and Binklemitre battle the Ar’dath-Irr and his disciples in an adventure involving exploding cafés and appalling hotels, car chases and inadvertent surgery, dreadful poetry, lots of arguments and at least one temper-tantrum, all of which draw the three into dark and convoluted corners of a world they weren’t aware existed. Moreover, any chance of sitting down and discussing things over some buns disappears when Lydia punches the Ar’dath-Irr in the face. This results in her having a psychotic episode and Oscar getting run over by an ambulance. Although Binklemitre suffers neither, he witnesses both, which is almost as dreadful, though not nearly so messy. An enormous battle ensues, followed by a dinner party and then everything explodes.

The Last Death Mage
Since time immemorial humanity has always feared and shunned what it didn’t understand. Over time this changed a bit to encompass things that didn’t conform to their thoughts and ideals. Due to humanity’s stubbornness with which the enforced their ideals many lives were lost and changed. When humanity first clashed with monsters and the beings that use magic, this trait caused many bloody fights. Over time the fights escalated into battles and full on war on several occasions. Humanity due to their adaptability and persistence won many of these altercations, causing huge casualties to the magical beings. Humanity did not come out unscathed however; many of the empires and civilizations noted in human history fell due to these battles and wars. Eventually over time humanity and the magical beings came to a sort of agreement. Magic and the beings associated with it faded into the background of history, being relegated to myth and legend. Humanity meanwhile advanced leaps and bounds once magic faded, leading to our current level of civilization. Not all magical beings were content with this, thus they did their own actions and killed or fed on humans. This has led to many organizations to be formed concerning this, on both the side of humanity and the side of magical beings. They regulate and control the use of magic as well as protect humanity from the darker things that are now not but myth to them, but there is a reason humanity instinctually fears the dark. Unfortunately there are always those that are unsatisfied by the status quo, and those that are prejudiced against things that are different. This is a story of a young man who wanted nothing more than to be normal. Unfortunately Fate and the world he lives in do not easily allow that this, thus his life changed, not for the better. Everyone has heard of or read stories about monsters and legends, heroes and villains, this is one such story. Hi, this is my second attempt at a story here, the first was before the major overhaul happened and i lost everything related to that story due to PC troubles. I hope you enjoy this if you dont please leave some constructive criticism in the comments. An Editor and the like will be needed, but I will edit as problems are pointed out and as i proof read. This story will have no set schedule, unless of course I decide to type up a bunch in succession then i will note that in a chapter beforehand. ADDED NOTE: most sexual content will be in Interludes or sub chapters with a .5 attached. Profanity and gore however shall be plenty in the actual story, though the descriptives for the gore may be added later. (For example, in the prologue that gave a hint at what happened to the MC, will be enhanced so that the gore invokes more descriptive/complete mental pictures, though it may wait.) ~Tyroth Gideon
