《God Of Cheat》Chapter 2: Reincarnation [2]

'It's time to meet my newly fresh and ripe family members. Hah! Dad jokes. Wow I'm feeling old even though I'm an infant right now.'
Shen Zuobi felt an increasing amount of movement and painful moaning every second. He didn't mean to but without any choice, he accidentally overheard heard a conversation between his new mother and whoever was guiding her through child labor, most likely the doctor.
"You're almost there Mistress Shen." Shen Zuobi heard the doctor speaking to his mother and was in a little bit of shock at the time. It was mostly consisted of respected but it also had fear as its side-dish.
'Wow! Shocking. She has my family name as well. This is really convenient. I hope they keep my name the same. Just like I said before, shocking. Okay now here I come world.'
Although Shen Zuobi was shocked at first in the beginning, he was getting used to all of the surprises that whatever or whoever brought him to this world was giving him so he almost naturally got over it after a few stream of surprise blowing into his face. It was like Shen Zuobi never heard it in the first place.
Shen Zuobi was getting so adapted to surprises that when he heard the other person refer to his mom as mistress, all he thought was, 'Cool.'
For some random reason Shen Zuobi felt like he knew that it was time. His heart for another random reason felt like weights were being lifted off slowly until his heart was completely free and weightless.
Shen Zuobi thought that he would be nervous to be born again except this time he would be aware of it but instead it was as if all the nervousness in his body has turned into excitement.
The time has officially came. The man speaking to his mother has successfully guided and helped Shen Zuobi's mother give birth to her newborn baby.
Shen Zuobi knew that he was out of the womb because he felt many times lighter and he could smell the air unlike when he was back in the womb.
He was being carried by a man and a few moment later he was passed onto another person. Her arms and the size of her hand indicated that it was a female person that Shen Zuobi was currently being held by.
"Oh thank the heavens. Thank you gods up above for giving my sister such a healthy looking child." Shen Zuobi heard another voice which clearly belonged to his aunt from the way she was talking and her clearly saying the word 'sister'.
Her voice sounded younger than his mother so it meant two things. She was either lower in the ranking of whatever the Shen family was. This was concluded from her mother being called a mistress. Or she was in a higher rank than her older sister which could be due to her intelligence, cheap plays, or taking advantage of something that's important to Shen Zuobi's mother..
If it was the first one then Shen Zuobi would either let her live or die depending on if she has any plans to backstab his mother and father in order to become a higher rank in the family immediately after he gained the strength to do so.

If it was the second one then Shen Zuobi would have limited choice because if his aunt was killed then his mother or father would be accused due to work of cliches in novels. In order to overcome that would mean to find another person and set him or her up to make it seem like the death was caused by him or her.
'Then if I find out that my mother is still accused then I will... oh my goodness, I'm thinking far ahead into the future. I have never done this before. Is it because of my new genes inherited from my new parents?
I am way too kind. Whoever this kid is... or was supposed to become, I think it would definitely be someone of high power that took care of everyone around him.
But that's not me! I may have also inherited your genes original person of this body but that doesn't make me you. I will most likely be betrayed by anyone I trust in the near future.
I need strength to prevent that from happening. I am excited.'
Shen Zuobi was so excited that he began shivering. This lead to a huge misunderstanding that would in the near future lead to a bigger misunderstanding.
"Who was the one that opened the window!" Shen Zuobi heard a hoarse male voice yelled. He had fast thinking and deduction speed from his past life and he immediately knew what was going on.
Whoever was yelling previously misinterpreted the fact that Shen Zuobi was shivering for the cold. Although it was quite warm as it was the Summer or Deagom season on this side of Egaroth but no one could too sure when it comes to babies.
A weak and clearly fearful voice speaker up and replied the yelling man that it was him who opened the window since he wanted to let fresh air in.
'From the sound of his attitude and actions, he should be a servant or slave that works for this household.
This sounds like it's turning interesting. Let's see what the man does to this servant as a punishment.'
As to why Shen Zuobi was doing that instead of stopping his shivering was simple. He wanted to understand what authority this man had in this Shen Family.
"Do you understand the punishment for potentially harming the next 2nd Master of the Shen Clan? Do you?!" The man yelled at the servant with a volume that no one would enjoy. Especially since it was so rasp and hoarse making sound more sinister than it was already.
Then a clear and beautiful voice that flew through Shen Zuobi's ears like an angel spoke, "It's okay brother Siya... it was a mistake and it might not necessarily be the reason why my son is shivering like this." This person was naturally Shen Zuobi's mother and she seemed kindhearted just like the supposed to be Shen Zuobi. He must have got it from her.
"But even so he could be trying to kill..."
"Quiet! Don't you dare say those kinds of words in front of my son."
"But he's not even old..."
"What?!"
"Nothing ma'am. Nothing at all. I apologize for any inconvenience."

Shen Zuobi was observing the conversation and he almost simultaneously recognized these kind of conversations. It was like those cliche anime where the bigger brother would be bullied and yelled at by the younger sister and all he can do is apologize even if he did nothing wrong.
'So my uncle is Shen Siya. That fits his voice just like a super thin glove since it's hoarse just like his name. I don't get it at all. If your clan had the name God why would you name your child God Hoarse. That doesn't seem intimating at all. Wouldn't he get bullied for his name. Grandma or grandpa must hate him very much to do that.
I wonder what my mother's name is? Oh and who's my father. Is he the current 2nd Master of the clan since I'm the future 2nd Master. Of course I have no intention of doing that but still. I'm so lucky not to have a family that is bullied in the clan or I wouldn't have anytime to walk and go places without being bullied.
I need to get strong fast. Do I have to get a job as a cultivator and travel around the country to get stronger then come back for the family tournament?"
Even though it wasn't confirmed, Shen Zuobi was absolutely confident that he was right about the tournament since any cliche novels had it and if they didn't then they wouldn't be considered a novel.
'Or should I become a pill maker and make pills to raise my strength? Maybe a blacksmith since they always get strong easily.'
After he decided to throw those decision to the back of his head since he didn't need to worry about it yet, he resumed his listening to the conversation.
His mother was telling her brother, "He just did it to let the fresh air enter the room. How is that something he needs to die for."
"But so what if that was the reason why he did so, we still need to punish him." Shen Siya seemed like he really wanted to kill the servant. Shen Zuobi already knew that he would have an overprotective uncle in the future.
Before Shen Zuobi's mother could reply to her brother, the servant immediately kowtowed and begged Shen Siya to not kill him since he needed to support his wife and two daughters.
Shen Zuobi's mother was in deep thought when her light bulb lit up.
"How about he participate in the 5-year family tournament coming up in 3 years. If he gets into the top 50 thousand then he shouldn't have to die since we'll have a strong warrior to fight for us."
Shen Siya thought for a while before he replied. "That works but not the top 50 thousand."
"Then what?"
"Top 5 thousand."
The servant almost spat blood at that moment. He was only a Mortal 2nd-Rank and he was already 38 years old. There was no way to achieve that goal. Not even with a miracle so he tried to lower the requirement by begging.
The servant once again kowtowed but instead of stopping, he kept kowtowing over and over while saying to Shen Siya, "Please great master. To get into the top 5 thousand would require me to become at least a Mortal 5th-Rank. I beg you to lower the required. I'm already 38 and only Mortal 2nd-Rank. I can't rank up 3 times in only 3 years. Please great master I beg of you."
"Then die." Shen Siya replied as he looked at the servant with eyes of serpents that was looking at feee food.
The servant felt a spine shiver up his back and almost began crying but he held back or else he would die even if he agreed to fight.
"Thank you great master for giving me this great opportunity to fight for my family. I will get into the top 5 thousand no matter what."
Even though he said that, both himself and everyone else in the room knew he was just saying that to please Shen Siya and that he wouldn't be able to keep his words even after death.
"Then get to work servant. Show me that you have worth."
The servant bowed down and left the household after Shen Zuobi's mother gave him permission to stay at home for the next 3 years and train while staying receiving his monthly paycheck of 10 silvers even though the amount was reduced by 25%.
Shen Zuobi was listening the entire time and tried his best not to feel guilty but the original owner's gene began their work-shift hours.
'I am the reason he will die. Maybe I should help him. Argh! Why you stupid uncle! Creating problems for me. Seems like I'll have to go visit this servant when I'm strong enough to help him.
It's kind of my fault but only kind of. Mostly yours stupid uncle of mine.
Maybe 2 years? No 1 year should be significant for me to get strong enough and I'll help this servant get into the top 5 thousand of this family tournament.'
But the only problem with the plan was that he didn't how to do that. He began thinking of the many reasons the main character becomes overpowered in light novels.
'Do I have a necklace with a grandpa in it? No, nothing's on my neck or at least not yet, I mean I was just born. How about a monster in my body that I don't know about. Probably not since I was just given birth to just like I said before.
What do I have to become strong then? Do I have a [System] that will help me? Probably not...'
[You are indeed correct. You have a system that will turn you into a God, never mind the winner of this family tournament. Piece of cake. With my help, the servant forced to fight will get to the top 4.5 thousand minimum depending on his effort and if he really work hard then maybe the top 3 thousand will be possible.]
'What the actual...'

Quick Synopsis:This is the story of Reylor, a god-like existence who lost a great portion of his strength when accidentally sent from his “home” to another world. Making friends and learning to harness to power of magic, he maintains his commitment to his prior duty and proceeds to fight against corruption, both on a political front and against what is known as the shade.(Note, this story focuses on action and adventure, so politics are not in depth) This has been my first novel, which was primarilly inteded as a learning experience, and so it may be a bit rough in regards, but it should definitely be readable and it is a full story. I may make some adjustments to it later on, but there's no guarantee... anyhow, it's free to read, so give it a go! Also, feel free to check out my new website: aretornovels.wordpress.com
