《Reborn as a Tree》Preparing

Chapter Six: Preparing
I had to do something as well, I could just let them do all the work. I started clearing out a place so that I would have room to send [Root Stike]s without having to worry about them hiding behind trees. I would probably win since it’s two Low Tier Magic Rank against 1. You could never be too prepared though, I wasn’t letting my survivability suffer because someone didn’t want to show or something.
Since it was a bear then it would have some tough claws and fur. I couldn’t handle it like the first bear I meant since it was possibly bigger than my roots could handle. So I would need my roots to tangle the bear somehow then I can bombard it with [Root Strike]. A variant of [Mist Assains Forest] could also help, one made for monsters instead of humans. Poison wouldn’t work against it unless I made it much stronger than it already was. I couldn’t do that since I didn’t know how I would be able to do that without animals with stronger venom.
What if I made it a cage instead of a forest? A cage made of roots with thorns on them. But this time once you were in the cage the thorns would grow into roots and stab your body. That wasn’t the end though since now I had direct access to the bloodstream so then I could pump poison straight into the bloodstream. Who says that those roots won’t have thorns that have the same ability.
The cage would turn your body into a giant mess of roots that are ripping you apart and poisoning you. I was slowly becoming more knowledgeable about killing. It felt very weird and my human side wanted it to stop but my tree side didn’t care. Maybe a shorter less agonizing death would be better. What if it just held them still and sent paralyzing poison into their bloodstream. Then it was just one shot through the brain and they were dead, didn’t even have to feel the pain if the poison also stopped sensations.

All I needed now was some paralyzing poison. I started infusing ice elements into my poison since ice freezes things. It worked but it made their body very cold which just made their death feel worse since their heart finally froze and stopped pumping blood. This time I just took a snake with the type of poison I wanted and started infusing theirs into mine. This time it worked as I wanted it to. It could hold a Low Tier Magic Rank for a few seconds but a few seconds was more than enough time for me to kill it. Now it was time for the roots, I first tried just trying to make roots grow from the thorns but then I realized that it would take forever. I tried pumping Mana into it but it was still taking way too much time. What if instead of making actual roots I made root projections. The wind was known for its speed and cutting power. So what if I made a root strike that was just a Nature Magic projection of my roots. If I infused wind into them then maybe they could cut straight through the bear.
It took me a few tries to get it right since last time I was just infusing my already made skills with Nature Magic. The wind infusing was easier since I had more control over it after practicing with Nature Magic. I used Nature Magic to hold the shape of the Wind Magic so that it had the most piercing power by using a needlepoint. Alright now time for the cage making, this was easy but I did need practice configuring [Spear Projections]. I did make the cages size changeable and also made reinforcements into the ground. Just in case I even put two layers of roots for the bars.

I made one root made from Killer M cells but these were meant to suck the Mana from my opponents. It would be the one to pierce the head then suck all the Mana from the bear body. Everything was ready now, I felt like I could take it on even if it went superpower mode at 25% health. I was the one doing all the work too since all they had to do was get it inside the cage.
Also just in case the humans try and attack me I made [Root Prison] which just made a smaller-sized cage with just Kill M cells. They would drain them of their Mana but not kill them. I hope I don’t have to use it but if I did I wouldn’t hesitate.
After the battle, I wonder what the humans will do. Mostly that reincarnator, he wasn’t that good of an ally to have since he would kill you if he could save himself. That Mayor though would be good, not in the long run but for now, he was very useful. It counted on if I want a long term ally or a short term ally I knew wouldn’t stab my back. I would go with the one who wouldn’t stab my back but I’m a tree so wouldn’t it be better to have a long-term ally. I will think of this sometime later since right now I have to clear my head for the fight.
I spread my roots out as far as I could and spread my Mana all through the ground and air making a domain where I could see and feel anything. I killed the animals that weren’t useful to me. Yes, some animals were useful, they ate the fungi that tried to grow between the cracks of my bark. Other decompose things for me to eat. It was a symbiotic relationship, I give them a home and they give me food. Life wasn’t all about me, yea I could survive on my own but I’m a tree. I’m already unconsciously keeping people alive by giving the Oxygen.
I couldn't escape the need for me, but it was peaceful not having to go to work or cook your food. As long as I had the sun, some soil, and water I would be perfectly fine. Now that I was a Mana tree I could survive off Mana alone so winter didn’t bother me. It also kept my body warm in winter so some animals were always fighting over who gets to live on me.

My Good Friend Murphy
***Disclaimer*** I wrote and am writing this purely for my own amusement. That means that this could have major revisions done to it sporadically, it has more grammar errors than even the most mentally stable grammar nazi could withstand, and will not update at all regularly. This is an ad-hoc fun experimental work with forced motives, plotholes, and static characters. Don't expect too much. That said, this mutated mistake of a short novella follows a ditzy MC who has been transported to a new world with the dubiously useful skills origin and enigma and the obnoxiously imbalanced skill, traveler. If you'd like more incentive to give it a shot, you will never get spoilers about the plot because there isn't one (Actual synopsis coming soon, relative to eternity)
