《The Overpowered Demon Princess Has Left Her World To Help An Author Write Her Story》Hey, Cutie. May I Have a Word with You?
Here I am. Standing in front of young strangers, who are called students when in a school setting, wearing the same uniform of an orange shirt, a red necktie, and a blue (either) skirt or pants. I too wear the same color-coded uniform along with the Demon Princess who's standing right next to me. I introduce myself as "Hiro Hikari", which sounds like the worst disguised name I can ever have, whereas she has "Nelly Suzuki" as her disguised name.
I hate her for having Suzuki's surname. In fact, why can't I have it? Then again, I chose my initial surname because of my gullibility in believing those people's words.
All of this nonsense started about an hour ago. Back at that room, which Purple Lady told me it's called a faculty office, I wrote down my name as "Hiro Yuusha" because hearing that first name sounds exactly like the English word "Hero". I've just learned through some people talking inside Suzuki's magic box that having two meaningful words that make up your full name will give you the best luck ever. I've asked Suzuki how do you spell "Hero" in Japanese which leads me choosing "Yuusha" as my disguised surname.
Unfortunately, as usual, the Demon Princess gave me a whack on the head using one of the teachers' books she saw right in front of her. I know I should be glad I'm feeling less pain than one of those thick phonebooks, but I wish she stop doing this ridiculous punishment on me. I had enough of those ever since I came to this world.
Now back to our introduction, we are told by this plain-looking male teacher to find empty seats inside this so-called classroom. Coincidentally, there are two empty spots right next to each other. Don't tell me...
"It can't be help. Let's just bear it for now," whispers the Demon Princess who seems to be okay with everything that's happening. Heck! How is she looking calm when I'm her mortal enemy...
"Hey, hey, Hikari-kun. Are you that pretty girl's boyfriend?", whispers a love-struck boy who's looking so desperate for a "No" answer from me.
Boyfriend?... I don't know what that word means but it sounds unsuitable about my connection with that woman...
"We're each other's enemies. Happy now?"
"Man~ you sure you're not into her? Unless you're being a tsundere. Hehe."
Hearing that weird word of his makes me wanna punch him in the face. To think I get annoyed with these Japanese people using stupid-sounding slangs on me...and I thought my heroic days back in Branshire was hard work, listening to people's complaints about . Being in this school called Kyōko High is giving me an ominous feeling of myself becoming lethargic that even if I'm a strong Hero.
Man...I'm starting to regret... chasing her into this world...
---------------------------------------------------
It's break time. Based on one of the school rules in this world, it's basically lunchtime; But so far, I observe the kids in this classroom are chatting with each other mainly about karaoke and theme parks. I doubt anyone from Branshire will believe what kind of those unusual words I've been learning here. Speaking of chatting, it seems another young kid comes up to me.
"Hi, Hikari-kun. How are you holding up with your first day at school?"

Up close, his facial features are extraordinary handsome based on my knowledge of what kind of levels of handsomeness. Despite having the same dark brown eyes like everybody else here, he's easily distinguished with semi-long reddish-brown hair with his fringe parting sideways that his forehead is clearly visible.
It seems to me he's starting a conversation with me. I try my best to talk like I'm from his world, but being here for almost two days has given me nothing but trouble. Not to mention, earlier on, that darn woman tells me off that I should learn by observing people's actions and listening to their words in this world. For now, I try to talk slowly and with less words if I can.
"I guess... it's all new to me."
"New? It sounds like you've never been to school before. Were you homeschooled?"
"Home...I guess you can say that. Uhm...you are..."
"Hara. Tsubaki Hara. I know this is sudden, but your name sounds fancy."
"Is that so? It sounds lame to me."
"Haha. You're amusing, Hikari-kun. I wonder if your parents are like you."
That statement stings my heart for I'm an orphan...but I wasn't lonely. Considering the Royal Family's King took me in back then...
"Actually... They passed away... a long time ago."
"Oh. I'm sorry for asking."
"No, it's fine. Anyways, what do you kids do after school?"
"Us kids? You sound like an old man, Hikari-kun. As if we, your classmates, are learning faster than you. Hehe."
Old man? Just so you know, I'll turn 20 next spring...or maybe not in this world.
Then, a few more of the male students, or should I say classmates from now on(?), comes to greet me and asks some questions about myself.
"Hey, hey. Hikari-kun, is that your natural hair colour?"
"Hikari-kun, is one of your parents European?"
"You've rare hazel eyes. Girls will fall for you."
"Woah, woah. Slow down, boys. I get you're enchanted by my looks, but I never thought men will be interested in them..."
"Hehe. Sorry if we made you uncomfortable, Hikari-kun. It'll be quite funny if you actually dyed your hair."
"Dyed?"
"Hey! Let's not assume he's a yankee."
Okay...these kids are making me feel uncomfortable with their funny terms. I know they mean well, but they shouldn't get too interested in a handsome guy like me. All of a sudden, I hear foreign words. In fact, hearing them talking among themselves in front of me sounds very awkward. They're speaking in another language, but that's odd... because I was able to understand them clearly. Before I can respond with my words, I get sprayed by a purple smoke. In actuality, it's the Demon Princess, who just appears out of the blue, spraying that smoke from a tiny spray can in her gloved right hand.
The boys and Hara look taken aback because it seems unusual for her to do that to me. Boy, if they know she's not human despite looking like one...
"Woah there! What are you doing, Suzuki-chan?"
"I'm sorry for that sudden move, guys. It seems my cousin needs to go to the infirmary room."
"Eh?! You two are cousins?! No wonder you look so irritated towards her, Hikari-kun."

I wanna respond with a confirmed "That's not it!", but I'm coughing and wheezing as if the smoke is poisonous.
"Is the spray that necessary for him?"
"Yes, Hara-san. If you excuse us, we're heading there now."
When I think she's gonna carry me like that time in front of Atsushi, she grabs my left hand gently. Mind you, this is a non-human girl and I seem to see her acting more than just a cousin role. Darn it. I've no idea if I'm feeling too warm because of the hot weather or the sudden blush appearing on my face.
-----------------------------------------------------
Well, the infirmary room looks way advanced than Tolldon's one. Heck! I shouldn't belittle anything happening in this world. To think I was expecting unknown monsters and forests of their kind when both are rarely found here.
"Uhm...I know I'm not sick, so why the heck am I lying down on this bed?"
The Demon Princess pulls away the curtain hanging next to my left side as she gives off her stoic look. Come to think of it, did she really smile? According to Ranjō, he claimed she did, but I can't imagine her smiling when she hates me to the core...I think.
"I really had to explain your condition to that nurse, who just left this room.. Even if you're faking it, we've to keep up our act for I believe you need some explanations."
"About what exactly? All I know is that I couldn't understand a word they were saying until your spray or smoke..."
"Oh. That. It's a Translator Spray."
"The what spray?"
"I'm sure you had one when you were gonna leave through the mirror."
Now I remember! So that purple, gasly smoke is the same one in that spray can of hers?? I get up immediately as I point fingers at her while ranting like a whiny kid. To be fair, she could've trust my intelligence and capabilities in learning a new language.
"Wait, wait, wait. You're telling me that I'm incapable of understanding the Japanese language? That my face was sprayed with it without my consent?! Just so you know I'm not stupid, woman."
"Ha... I'm not sure which is worse... Leaving you at Sensei's house but fearing you'll be naked again; Or bringing you here but fearing you sound like from another world...well. There's no going back from my carefully planned decision."
"Woman. Hearing those ridiculous decisions of yours isn't helping me feel comfortable. Is it really necessary that we must be here in Japan? What about Branshire?"
"So you really wanna go back?"
"I mean... you're here. And I meant to slay you...but still! Are you really gonna make Suzuki's dream come true? Like is it necessary for her to write your story?"
"My story huh? Unfortunately, I'm having second thoughts about that."
"Huh? Does that mean... Are you gonna stop pretending to play human? Because your powers...well not exactly... because I've only seen your fighting moves so far..."
"Plank...you really think I like pretending to be human? I don't. But somehow, humans can get over their heads someday, thinking they can play God."
"That... can't be help. I've encountered hypocrites that I accept all of mankind being capable to want to play God. And yet, I met you who might be capable of doing that..."
There's a long awkward silence. I don't know why, but somehow I see her eyes looking sad and pitiful at the same time.
"What's the point of me taking over the world, Plank? Watching over the sufferings of pure-intentioned humans being taken advantage of is the last thing a monster like me shall do."
"You...still calling yourself a monster? It's like you hate..."
Man...this gloomy conversation is ruining the mood. I wish something happens.
Then, a high-pitch mechanical sound resonates inside this room. I get scared a bit due to hearing this unfamiliar sound for the first time.
I realise it's coming from her skirt and just like that, she takes out a gray rectangular item from her skirt's right pocket. She puts it near to her right cheek for her to talk...so this is a way advanced talk in this world?
"Hello. Oh. Sensei, what's up?...I see. Are you sure... it's her body?"
Body? Someone died? Who?
"Then, I'll be on my way, Sensei."
She seems to press a button on that item as a signal to end the talk. She faces towards me and says:
"Don't go anywhere, Plank. I'll be back around an hour to pick you up. And if someone wants to talk to you, run away."
"Huh?? Listen, woman. Whose body did Suzuki comes across?"
"... it's her landlady."
"Wha..."
"Anyways, stay put no matter what, Plank. Try not to trust any student here."
Don't trust... aren't you the only one doing that...
"Oh! I nearly forgot. Here. Say "Activate" in English when you need to use it."
She says that sentence as she takes out a golden rosary from her left pocket. She places it in my right hand. Up close it looks like my sword...what? Just when I want to ask questions about this rosary, she has left the room like a quiet breeze.
I plop myself down on this bed, closing my eyes as I sigh heavily. I feel confusion and frustration, hearing those cautious words of hers.
Now that I think about it, she trusts me like I won't kill her in her sleep...who exactly is she? A hornless demon wouldn't be so bossy to a grand Hero like...
"My, my. Are you left alone, boy?"
A woman's voice makes my eyes open wide. I look up to see a young girl, with dark brown shoulder-length hair and cinnamon-colored eyes, appears right in front of me. She appears to be wearing this school's uniform. Was this fine-looking girl, whose busty cleavage is somehow being exposed a little too much, in our classroom?
Speaking of busty, she's not wearing her necktie...now, now. It's normal for a healthy man like me to feel some attraction. But I know she's not an adult yet so I must restrain...huh?
She's kind of signalling me, pointing her left thumb as a sign of getting out of this room. She appears to smile nonchalantly while she asks me this question in a tempting voice.
"Hey, Cutie. May I have a word with you?"

Demons Don't Lie
Algier, average human and recent convict, has committed the gravest sin of all: demon slaying. His fate? To participate in the Culling, a battle-royale style tournament that’s televised live to the world, where all the worst criminals go to die. As with all tournaments, a prize is on the line. If Algier survives, he can have any wish granted by the Marquises, the new rulers of Earth following the demons’ invasion. However, there’s little hope for survival in a tournament designed to have demons do the work of the executioner, especially for a human. Demons are stronger, faster, wiser, and more talented than the average human, and, despite his crime, Algier is no demon hunter. Mentally defeated before the tournament even begins, Algier is torn between becoming another demon’s points and fighting on in his dead mother’s legacy. But should he choose to fight, there is one advantage that Algier has that can tip the odds in his favour: Demons don’t lie, but humans can. How to read this story Demons Don't Lie is written from the perspective of an unreliable (lying) narrator. There are many inconsistencies within the story which are placed there intentionally. It's up to the reader to decide what is the truth and what is the lie. Promotion Full quality cover image

"You forgetting anything?" Her husky voice rasped at me, pushing back the lump in her throat. My eyes began to water as I looked down to the ground, watching a small ant crawl by my shoe. One foot was inside the small apartment we had shared and the other, the other was planted firmly on the cement step outside. Her words echoed around in my head. Am I forgetting anything? I was forgetting you I wanted to reply. Home to me was always a person. And now.... I was homeless. [-]Black Widow x ReaderParker!Reader(GxG)
