《The Adonis Mission》Chapter 9 - Gods and Other Things

Kronos’ Estate,

Titania, The Realm

After Kronos’ little switch with the mortal woman’s contraception he returned then to Titania and now sat in a cavernous room in his mansion. It was where he often went to study the prophecies. Each prophecy and there were thousands, were written in books and had been labeled and shelved. There were row upon row of large bookshelves in the room with thousands of books on each shelf. Each bookcase was labeled on its end by years, and displayed the Greek Alphabet from alpha to omega.

Kronos had been given the books thousands of years ago and he had made this system of cataloging them to keep better track of each.

The prophecies were written by Gods unknown. No one, not one of them knew who’d created them. Thousands of years ago when the first books started showing up in the Realm, Titans and Olympians alike were mystified.

Many councils between the two races were held, but no one could uncover the truth of their origins. No one offered any information as to who of their Gods had created them. Perhaps, one of the Olympian Gods suggested, they came from Gods outside of both their races.

It was this hypothesis that currently reigned. For there were billions of people on planet earth and not all of them became immortals who ended up in their Realm.

Perpetuating the hypothesis was the fact that only a fraction of the billions of humans achieved Godhood and went on to become immortals, to pass over into their realm. The other billions of mortals once they died, some theorized, were thought to be taken into the embrace of these unknown Gods into an equally unknown realm. None of the thousands of prophecies however, spoke of any other deities. Furthermore, the prophecies had a tendency to change. Usually because of human free will. And also because of unknown variables, such as mortals living past lives, which made it difficult at times for even the immortals to foresee their outcome.

Kronos was interested in The Adonis Mission prophecy today. As the silver haired middle aged man sat at his table, he was studying the ever changing book, frowning as he read. There was something in the prophecy regarding the mission that perplexed him.

Standing up from his desk he closed his eyes and concentrated on the Supreme ruler of the Titans, herself, Gaia.

Suddenly he changed into the handsome younger man Thalia had met with shoulder length dark hair. His clothing changed from baggy trousers and long sleeved shirt to his work uniform, the hooded cape and ankle length long black gown. Holding up his large hourglass, suddenly with a little pop he disappeared.

He reappeared in the heart of a huge forest almost instantaneously. Gaia’s realm was in a very high level of Titania, second only to the topmost, which was Zeus’s realm in the section of Olympia. That was the end of the inner Realm. Above that was the outer Realm where the supreme God over all was said to dwell.

Gaia’s domain could only be traversed by a few of the higher Gods such as himself. And the only way you could get to her domain was by teleportation. However upon doing so the visitor was always taken to the starting point which was the forest that he was now standing in. No one knew the exact location of Gaia’s mansion as she changed it quite often to suit her whims. But once a visitor made it to the forest, all paths eventually led to the mansion then.

He looked and saw several paths that wandered off in different directions and choosing one he set off.

As he walked through the forest eventually Kronos noticed there were birds that kept flying tree to tree keeping pace with him. No doubt pawns of Gaia’s who would report back to her that there was a visitor in her woods, he thought. After a period of time the birds then left, just as he knew they would.

Soon he noticed the trees started thinning, and the path led him over a slight incline and on the other side were two very tall trees blocking the path.

As he walked forward the two trees stepped aside giving him clearance. This did not bother Kronos as everything in Gaia’s domain was living. After all she was Mother Earth, and the most powerful Goddess, in the inner realm, second in power only to the most supreme high God himself, Zeus.

Below him was a valley. He looked and saw rolling hills, flowering trees, grass and meadows, lakes and streams winding their way in between the hills. in the middle on the highest hill nestled inside a grove of trees, stood a large castle. The castle looked as though it was an extension of the trees itself, being mostly covered by foliage and vines as the plant life had left little of the stone structure visible.

Now that Kronos had seen the location of Gaia’s mansion he closed his eyes. When he opened them he was standing in front of the large castle double doors.

A door knocker was there on one side of the doors fashioned into the face of a woman carved in brass. If he’d been a few feet back, he might have missed it, as vines had almost completely covered it. Moving the vines aside, exposing the bottom of the door knocker, he saw etched in Gold, the Greek letter for Gaia’s initial, signifying the seventh letter of the alphabet.

He grabbed the brass knocker and cracked it against its holder three times. After a few seconds the door slowly opened and he stepped inside.

He found himself in a vast entrance hall with several doors connecting to it. In front of him was a large marble staircase leading upstairs.

A door opened then and a lovely pale haired nymph entered the room. She was wearing nothing but a nearly see through gown of white chiffon which ended mid thigh, and was barefoot. She said, “Gaia will see you now, Excellency. Please follow me.”

She took him through a carved door on the other side of the room and then left the room closing the door softly.

He was in a large chamber. The walls were marble and directly in the center was a very large tree which towered above him, it’s trunk shooting straight up and out through the opening in the castle ceiling. Various tapestries depicting gardens, flowers and other flora and fauna hung against the walls on both sides of the room and as he waited, his eye suddenly caught movement. The tree was moving.

It rustled and groaned and then starting changing. He realized it was shrinking as the length of it was dropping from the hole in the ceiling at a very rapid pace, the branches shortening as most of them disappeared into the trunk. A minute later the tree had been transformed into the shape of a woman. A Goddess to be exact.

One of the most beautiful Goddesses she was. Her dress was made entirely of foliage and hugged her body, cut low on her beautiful bosom and hugging her tiny waist. Then snugly hugging full hips it then flowed down around her bare ankles. She wore a wreath of garland around her tiny neck. Her hair was a chestnut brown and was thick and shiny and tumbled in waves around her shoulders, spilling down around her body. On her head she wore a wreath of pink rosebuds. Her face was noble, her cheekbones high, with eyes the color of the earth, a warm chestnut brown. Her full rosy lips were smiling as she gazed at him. Although her age was comparable to the age of 38 years by earth time, she didn’t look a day over 25.

“Hello Kronos, my son,” Gaia said, walking over to him.

He thought of the countless stories he’d heard of the unique ways in which his mother greeted some of her visitors. Now there would be a new one to add to the list.

Although most of the lesser Gods did not bow or act subservient to those equal to them, and even though technically he was her son, Gaia was slightly above Kronos, in rank and he bowed briefly, saying “Your Imminence.”

“Let’s dispense with formalities Kronos, today we’re just mother and son,” she said smiling showing her lovely white teeth. She stood before him and said, “What brings you here today?” She gestured to a chair which suddenly appeared several feet behind her as he walked over and sat.

Gaia walked by him then and headed for a carved wooden throne which sat about four feet in front of him and previously had been hidden by the girth of the tree.

She sat down as Kronos said, “The prophecy, Gaia, my mother. Specifically, the prophecy which relates to The Adonis Mission.”

He then began to explain to her what he had discovered, while Gaia’s smile slowly disappeared to be replaced in short order by a look of great concern as she listened to him recounting what he had found while reading the book.....

“So what you are telling me,” Gaia said, “is that the mission may be jeopardized?”

“The exact paragraph,” Kronos told her, “says that something of great magnitude will happen to one of the twins.”

“Yes, I know,” Gaia said rather impatiently, “I’ve heard that part before from Eos. It’s the next part I’m concerned about. The part where it said, ‘A new event will come to pass that will impact the Gods themselves.’ What could that possibly mean if it’s not referring to the mission, my Son?”

“You jest, mother. Surely you know it could mean anything right now. But yes, there is a possibility that it refers to the mission being a failure again,” he told her.

They were both silent for a moment and then Kronos said, “I will be keeping the book open and following the prophecies regularly and will let you know if anything changes.” He then stood up and bowed slightly as he bade her farewell...

The next morning Alexis had taken her shower and had just finished with her hair. She was standing naked in her bathroom and she had noticed that her period had pretty much stopped. She was glad as she really didn’t care for sex during the heavier part of her period as it was messy and oral was out of the question.

However she knew that Bon had given her every indication that he couldn’t wait to be with her and the sooner the better. She didn’t think the fact that she might have some faint bleeding was going to deter his sexy ass in the slightest.

She smiled as she remembered the last time she had cupped that sexy ass. It was hard and muscular, speaking of years of countless workouts that had turned it into a work of art. Ohhh she thought. She wanted to do nasty stuff to that ass and then feeling horny as hell she looked at her face in the mirror which wore a faint blush and thought, she’d better stop thinking of him or she would be doing the nasty all by herself before too long.

However the feeling did not pass. The more she tried not to think of him the more her thoughts kept returning. Giving up she walked into her bedroom and then went over and locked her door.

Going to the bottom drawer of her dresser she rummaged around underneath some clothes and pulled out a large dildo, and then right after found a small vibrator and took that out as well.

She laid back on the bed placing the toys to one side opening her legs very wide, feet placed firmly on the bed. She then picked up the vibrator and turning it on placed it gently against her clit, rubbing it slightly. Her body felt flooded with pleasure, and soon she removed it from her clit and picked up the large dildo. It was a special very expensive dildo, made so that the upper part would thrust up and down at a length of three inches and also had three speeds. It was expensive because it worked and worked very well. She inserted it into her slick pussy as far as it would go and then turned it on and selected the medium fast speed. As it thrust against her cervix she imagined Bon fucking her and her legs opened wider as she pulled her knees forward and back as her ass thrust up more.

As her moans increased she went to the high speed and the dildo thrust up and down as she placed the vibrator back onto her clit and suddenly within seconds she screamed as she had an intense orgasm then, her beautiful ass thrusting up and down to meet the slamming strokes of the dildo.

After that Alexis felt a bit better, at least more relaxed and dressing quickly she went downstairs to see about breakfast.

[Thalia thought about the way her host had pleasured herself. Although sex did not end once people of her race had died and entered the Realm, Thalia had never indulged in any liaisons with any of the other male Gods even though it wasn’t exactly forbidden. Thalia was of the right age, but she just didn’t find any of them attractive enough to want to experience mating. She thought about Bon Vincent. Now the mortal was different, Thalia thought. She was becoming enamored with him she realized. She remembered the way his hands had pleasured her host, feeling almost the same pleasure that her host had felt. Although it wasn’t as pleasurable as it would be if he was making love to her. She wondered what it would be like if he made love to her. If he looked at ‘her’ the way he looked at Alexandria. She realized that she was thinking about that more and more. Was she falling in love with Bon Vincent she wondered? The only thing she knew for sure is that when she saw him through her host’s eyes she felt happy and felt a deep yearning to be with him. But was she simply feeling what her host was feeling or were those feelings coming from her? She was pretty certain, some of those feelings were her own. She then thought about her Mother. She needed to see Eos. She needed her council, but she had no way to contact her. It would have to be through Kronos she decided. She would have to contact Kronos again.]

Alexis went into the dining room hearing voices and found Ronnie sitting there drinking a cup of coffee talking to Marie.

“Morning Lex!” Ronnie said taking a sip of her coffee as Marie walked back into the kitchen.

“Morning sweetie,” Alexis returned. ’How long have you been up?” Ronnie told her that she’d gotten up about a half hour ago.

Alexis could smell the breakfast that Marie was cooking and as they sat there talking, Marie walked in with a cup of coffee for Alexis and set it down in front of her.

“Thanks Marie,” she smiled at the woman, who smiled back and left the room.

Later after Kronos left his mother’s domain he returned to the lower level of Titania and seconds later was inside his mansion in the prophecy room once again. He was looking inside the book, when suddenly his hourglass which had been sitting on a small side table four feet away from him, rose quickly into the air and then flipped upside down and started shimmering, emitting a humming sound.

That was the signal that Thalia was contacting him. Jumping up and changing into his work clothes he walked over and grabbed the hourglass and left the room.

Seconds later he entered his study and walking to a block of moving pictures, he fast forwarded it to current earth time and saw Alexis walking out of her bedroom heading downstairs. He pushed a button which displayed the exact day, date, year and time and then turning went through the door off of his study and walking quickly up the stone steps he then stepped through the portal.

Marie had just served the girls a breakfast of sausage, egg and cheese breakfast bagel sandwiches, along with orange juice and a plate of sliced fruit. She was just pouring a refill of coffee into Alexis’ cup as Alexis reached for her glass of juice.

Alexis’ hand froze.

All movement in the dining room ceased including the coffee which has now suspended in midair not having reached the cup yet.

Kronos walked over towards the kitchen’s island and placed himself behind Ronnie who was as still as a statue as well, her sandwich an inch away from her open mouth, which was waiting to be fed.

He snapped his fingers at Alexis and her body relaxed.

Thalia looked at Kronos as he said, “Is there something that concerns you Thalia?”

“No, not really,“she replied. “But I want to see my Mother, it is important to me. Is that possible?”

“Yes,” Kronos told her, “but she can only visit you at night when your host is sleeping unless of course I come along with her, and tonight I cannot. I have a time oriented project the entire night that I must attend to.”

“Please ask her if she can come to me tonight at 1 a.m., as my host should be asleep by then,” Thalia said.

Kronos said he would deliver the message and then noting how serious her expression was he said, “Is there anything you would like to discuss with me Goddess?”

“No, not really. It is womanly stuff,” she told him blushing slightly.

Kronos smiled slightly and said he would be off then.

He disappeared abruptly as time started again and Alexis picked up her glass and drank some juice, the coffee started to then pour into her cup and Ronnie continued to eat saying that her sandwich was scrumptious.

Alexis agreed as she took another bite of hers.

After breakfast Ronnie said she was going out for awhile. She wanted to do a bit of shopping and asked Alexis if she’d like to come with, but Alexis told her that she needed to start working on her new book. She’d been putting it off for awhile and knew that her editor would be bugging her if she didn’t have some kind of story idea to give her.

After Ronnie left, she went to her study and sitting behind her desk she opened her laptop.

This first piece would be a rough draft, listing the main characters with the beginnings of chapter one. The title of the book would come to Alexis later, right now she was more concerned with the story.

She started typing:

Title: none as of yet

by Alexandria Grey

Characters: Ariel Crenshaw - twenty-three year old widow living in Denver Colorado. Owner of the K.C. Ranch which had previously belonged to her recently deceased husband Kenneth Crenshaw. Husband died after falling from a horse and smashing his head against a boulder. Widowed for 1 year. No children.

Ty Anderson - thirty year old rancher who breeds thoroughbred horses. Divorced for the last three years. No children.

Alexis worked on her manuscript for three hours straight, and then stopped as she heard a knock on her study door.

“Yes?” she called. Marie stuck her head in and said, “Mr. Vincent is here, Ma’am.”

Alexis smiled and said, “Show him in Marie.”

She saved her file and then closed her laptop as just then the door opened and Bon walked in smiling.

God, but he never failed to excite her when she saw him. He was wearing a yellow suede long sleeved shirt with tight jeans and her heart started beating faster as she looked at him.

“Hey lady what’s up?” Bon asked as she got up and walked around her desk. Coming together he pulled her into his arms as their mouths met in a thorough and satisfying kiss.

As the kiss ended she said, “Just working on a new book.”

“I wondered why you didn’t call me back,” Bon said. “I left a bunch of messages for you and I was a little concerned so I decided to run over and check up on you.”

“I had no idea you even called. When I’m working I don’t even bring the phone in with me,” she said.

“Yeah I know,” Bon replied. “Been there, done that.”

She said, “But I’m finished for today anyway. Let’s go outside and enjoy the day.”

As they left her study Bon told her that Rye and Olivia had showed up briefly at his house and then said they were going out for awhile.

As they stepped out on the terrace, Alexis asked, ’So where’s Dane this morning?”

“He’s back at the house,” Bon told her. ’He’s been writing new material for a new solo album of his.”

They sat down at an umbrella table and talked for a bit and then Alexis suddenly shivered. “Are you cold?” Bon asked.

She was wearing a sleeveless summer top and Bermuda shorts with sandals. She said, “I dressed for summer but it feels a bit cool and where the hell did the sun go?”

“Yeah,” Bon said. “I saw on the weather channel this morning that the temps were supposed to drop to the low sixties and they said there might be storms.”

She eyed his shirt. “So that’s why you wore the long sleeved shirt. Good thinking. I guess I should have watched the weather channel this morning.”

They both looked up at the sky then. It was definitely overcast with part of the sky in the distance very dark.

“It definitely looks like rain,” Alexis remarked. She shivered again.

“Maybe we should go in,” Bon said and she agreed and as they got up drops of rain suddenly splattered down onto the metal umbrella table. They quickly went inside via the kitchen entrance and she told Marie who was loading dishes in the dishwasher to turn off the A/C as they didn’t need it now.

She led Bon into the family room and told him she’d be back as she was going to change into a little warmer clothing.

Running up to her bedroom she changed into a long sleeved blue knit shirt with black levis and left her sandals on her feet.

When she came back in the room, Bon was standing in front of the french doors which led out to the pool area watching the weather. When she’d come downstairs she could hear the rain pelting the house and now she walked over and stood next to him as his arm came around her. Just then a huge streak of lightening flashed. The outdoors had gotten much darker and then thunder boomed loudly making her jump. Bon stood just behind her then tightening his arms around her waist. The wind had picked up and was tossing the tops of the trees back and forth.

“Man it’s a bad one,” she said.

“I love storms,” Bon told her, “as long as I don’t have to be driving around in them. But I love watching them.”

“Me too,” Alexis agreed. “But I’m kind of afraid of lightening.” Just as she said that another jagged streak came down from the sky over the ocean.

Suddenly Alexis spotted movement from the corner of her eye near the garden, and saw Tonks running out of the area. She would stop ever so often and lick herself. Tonks didn’t much like water and she didn’t care for thunderstorms either.

Alexis broke from Bon’s embrace and said, “Oh my God, Tonks!”

She opened the french door and dashed outside but as she ran towards Tonks calling her, a huge peal of thunder sounded and Tonks turned and raced back into the garden. Alexis followed her but every time she would get close to her, Tonks would take off again. The cat eventually ran out of the garden as Alexis followed, totally soaked as Bon watched from the door.

Alexis was very wet and shivering, angry with her stubborn cat at that point and walked back inside of the house.

“Whoa,” Bon said, taking off his shirt and handing it to her.

She thanked him and soaked up the wetness as much as she could from her hair, and then said, “I’m gonna change and go back out there and see if I can catch her.”

She went over to the house phone then and dialed the line for the kitchen. Marie answered and she asked her to please bring her a couple of towels so she could dry off a bit and not drip water through the house on her way to her room.

A minute later Marie entered with the towels as Alexis thanked her. She then dried herself and her clothes as best as she could and then told Bon she would return in a few minutes. Handing Bon’s shirt to Marie she asked her to throw it in the clothes dryer and then headed up to her room.

She peeled off her wet levi’s and put on a long sleeved jersey shirt, with a pair of jeans, and then quickly dried her hair with the blow dryer. Finished she went downstairs. Bon was standing in the hall and Marie had just handed him his shirt which he was putting on. Just then they heard a car in the driveway.

“That must be either Ronnie or Olivia,” Alexis said as Bon pulled her close and bent his head as they kissed.

A few seconds later the doorbell rang. Not once but several times.

The couple broke apart as Alexis said, “Geesh alright I’m coming!” She walked the few steps to the door and opened it to find Ronnie standing there. Her face looked horror stricken.

Alexis said, “Ronnie, are you alright? What is it?”

Ronnie said, “There’s been an accident. It’s Tonks, Lex, I didn’t see her, she just ran in front of the car as I pulled into the driveway!” She stepped aside then.

Alexis stared in horror seeing Tonks lying there in the driveway. She could see the cat struggling to rise but couldn’t.

“I think she may be dying,” Ronnie said, crying and then putting her face in her hands, she fell to her knees sobbing.

Alexis ran outside barely noticing that the rain had all but stopped, followed by Bon and Ronnie who was still crying, struggling to control herself, just as Bon’s Toyota pulled into the driveway.

Rye who was driving, stopped the Toyota quickly as he and Olivia saw everyone huddled around something on the ground.

The couple got out as Alexis knelt and said, stroking the cat’s wet fur, “Awww Tonks, my sweet girl.” Tonks laying on her side stared up at her mistress, obviously in a lot of pain, her golden eyes huge in her face. She struggled to get up again but her legs would not move.

Without thinking Alexis placed her hands on the cat. As she closed her eyes Thalia sent forth the healing energy to the animal and Alexis felt a sudden warmth flowing from her hands into the body of her cat.

Tonks meowed suddenly loud and then a few seconds later as Alexis opened her eyes, the cat suddenly struggled beneath Alexis’ hands and then as her hands fell away, Tonks stood up and raced past them and into the open door of the house.

Everyone stood there unsure at first, of what they had just seen.

Alexis suddenly felt very tired and weak, but tried to struggle to her feet. However she swayed and as she started to collapse Bon grabbed her and picked her up in his arms.

Bon said, “Baby?

“Take me to my room Bon,” she said weakly. “I’m so tired.”

He took her back into the house then and carried her upstairs as Rye said, looking at Olivia, “What the hell just happened?”

Ronnie stood there not saying anything, as she knew what had just happened. The other two looked at her with a question on their faces. She just shrugged her shoulders and then turned and walked into the house as the other two hesitated a bit and then followed.

Bon placed Alexis on her bed and then removed her sandals, sitting beside her. Her eyes were only half open and she said, “I need to sleep...” and then suddenly her eyes closed.

Bon heard the door open softly behind him and he turned and saw Ronnie come into the room. “I need to talk to you Bon,” she said softly.

He looked at Alexis hearing her even breathing and then leaned forward and pressed a kiss against Alexis’ forehead and then got up as he followed Ronnie out of the room.

As they went downstairs, Bon said, “What happened back there in the driveway Ronnie? The cat was badly injured, I saw that myself, and then suddenly after Alex puts her hands on her, she gets up and runs away perfectly fine?”

Ronnie didn’t answer for a few seconds and then said, as they stepped off the last of the stairs, “I’ll explain, come into the kitchen.”

They entered the kitchen to find Rye and Olivia sitting at the island sipping some hot coffee. As Ronnie and Bon sat down, Rye said, “I don’t get it. The cat looked like it was on it’s way out and then suddenly it was alright! What the hell just happened?”

Marie poured Bon and Ronnie some hot coffee and then Ronnie after making sure Marie had left the room, said, “Alexis is a healer.”

It was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. All three of the others sat staring at her.

Ronnie continued and said “Alexandria’s Grandmother, Augustina had the gift too. Alexis told me that when she was twelve years old she had stayed with her Grandmother for two weeks that summer and that’s when Augustina admitted it to her. Lexie told me this not long after her and I became good friends. But she also told me that she had not discovered she possessed the same ability until recently.” She turned her head and looked at Bon.

Olivia stared at Ronnie. She’d never been aware of any gift her Grandmother had. But then she had not been allowed to go with Alexis that summer that her twin had stayed with their Grandmother as Olivia had been grounded by her Father, because she had tried to sneak out one night to meet the Captain of the Junior High football team.

“Do you remember the day you and Alexis met, Bon?” Ronnie continued.

Bon nodded his head as she said, “She fell on part of your rose bush which scratched her up good. But she told me the marks had disappeared an hour later. Didn’t you wonder about that?” she asked him.

“I remember commenting when I wiped the blood off that the scratches were barely noticeable,” he said, “but a few minutes later when she came into the house she used the bathroom. I guess I just assumed she’d covered them up with makeup or something,” he said thinking back.

“Did she have her handbag with her?” Ronnie asked.

Bon was silent for a moment thinking. “No, actually she didn’t.”

“Then unless you keep women’s makeup in your bathroom, how could she cover them up?” Ronnie asked.

“Good point,” Bon said. “But I don’t know, I really didn’t think very much about it,” he said, “as we were having such a good time at dinner.”

Olivia had been listening quietly and with a rather sullen look on her face spoke up then. “How could my sister have this strange gift and I not know about it?” Privately she felt hurt that Alexis had not shared this with her.

“She only found out about it Olivia, a little over a week ago,” Ronnie said staring at the other woman. “And you’ve been in London for a week. She probably had planned on sharing that with you and just hadn’t gotten around to telling you yet.”

Olivia remained silent then wondering if her sister really HAD been planning on telling her that. After all she’d never even mentioned when they were younger that their Grandmother had the gift either.

“But why is she so tired all of a sudden?” Bon asked. “I mean she fell asleep really fast Ronnie,” he told her. “I’m concerned about her. It’s only 1:30 in the afternoon, why would she be so tired?”

Ronnie said, “When Alexis told me about her Grandmother, I remember her saying that each time Augustina performed some kind of healing and by the way according to Alexis her Grandmother’s gift was rather limited to cuts and scratches, burns and that, but each time her Grandmother did any healing she always complained that she was tired then. However, Alexis never related to me that she’d seen anything like what we saw a few minutes ago with Tonks,” Ronnie told them.

Tonks as if hearing her name suddenly appeared inside the kitchen and jumped up on the island which was one of her favorite things to do. She sat then, regally, her eyes looking at each one of them. Then she walked over to Bon and sat before him staring into his blue eyes. She meowed slightly. Bon feeling a bit touched that the cat had came to him rather than any of the others raised his hand.

He scratched Tonks’ head as he said, “Hey pretty kitty, are you okay now?” Tonks started purring letting everyone know she was fine. Then as Bon stroked her body, she stood up and looked at Bon once more and then jumped off the island and went out through the cat door which led to the terrace.

Ronnie said, “Regarding Augustina, it’s evident that Alexis has even more power than Augustina had. And that would explain why she is sleeping right now. Because it took a lot out of her and she must be totally exhausted.”

They all fell silent then, and then after a moment Ronnie said, “Alexis didn’t want anyone other than me, to know about this” but then seeing the look on Olivia’s face said quickly, “Except for you Olivia, as I’m sure she was planning on telling you.”

Olivia remained silent.

“But, her biggest fear was that this would get out to the media and she would become some kind of a freak show then and her life would not be her own anymore,” Ronnie finished.

Rye said, “Well, hell, I’m not gonna say anything to anyone. Even if I did nobody would believe me. “Yeah,” Bon agreed. “What reason would we have for telling the media anything?”

He got up then and said he was going to go up and check on Alexis and left the room.

Ronnie glanced at Olivia who was sitting there very quietly looking down. “Liv? You won’t say anything will you?”

Olivia raised her eyes and stared at the other woman with a slight trace of anger on her face and said. “Why would I Ronnie? She’s my sister for God’s sake. Of course I wouldn’t tell anyone!”

She got up then saying to Rye that she needed to go upstairs and freshen up and left the room as Rye, sighing and giving Ronnie an apologetic look, followed.

Bon was sitting on the bed watching Alexis sleep. She was laying on her back, head against the pillow, tilted slightly downwards, her black lashes thick and dark against her creamy golden skin.

[Thalia sensing Bon was near, felt him caress her host’s cheek. She felt such tenderness and without stopping to even consider the consequences she opened her host’s eyes and looked into his own.]

Bon had a tiny jolt as a pair of beautiful blue violet eyes stared into his own. Thalia seeing the look of amazement on his face said, as her eyes started closing, “Stay with me my love,” as she felt the arms of Hypnos the sleep Goddess, pulling her back inside her embrace.

Bon stared at Alexis, thinking, she had called him her love! He felt a hot rush of pleasure mixed with something else as he stared at her. Did she love him, he wondered? He thought about the violet eyes he’d seen. He decided then he must have imagined the different eye color. Just shadows in the room, nothing more.

Not being able to help himself, he laid down next to her and turned her body so that her head was laying on his chest. He stroked her hair and back and one hand continued to move down caressing her bare skin around the small of her back, where her shirt had slid up. He needed to make love to her all the way, but he knew it was not going to happen this night. There was no telling how long she would need to rest.

After awhile Bon turned her so she was laying on her back again and then bending he placed a soft kiss on her lips and then got up from the bed and quietly left the room...
