《My Little Husky Assistant》Chapter 15: Tachibana Nozomu

"Nee Noba-chan, forgive me. Please eat this chicken lasagna, I made it special for you," Hayabusa persuaded Nobara who was sulking on her bed.
Nobara lethargically shook her head without looking at him. She was still solid white and her tears didn't stop flowing like a crying emoji. She didn't have her meals for three consecutive days and she even still wore the same white satin pajamas from the night at the tunnel.
As she slept soundly, Hayabusa came back into her room and touched her forehead. He was surprised by the heat of her body. He rushed to the kitchen and took a cooking thermometer from the cabinet and used it to check her body temperature. He put the bulb in her mouth until the red liquid in the thermometer raised and terminated at a certain temperature.
"97.0°C, that's quite high!! She has a very high fever!" Hayabusa panicked. "Oh, wait, I just used this thermometer for the oil, no wonder she's so warm."
He gasped as he saw a black mark on her lips but did nothing about the burn part. He went to the kitchen and immediately cooked rice porridge for Nobara. He demanded Yuu to cut the ginger and chop the chicken breast. Yuu obeyed even though he didn't know why. Hayabusa explained to him about Nobara's high fever. Yuu was panicked, they were panicked and started running and rushing in the kitchen. But Yuu was glad to be able to take part in nursing Nobara.
Outside of her room, a shady brunette man in a light grey suit with sunglasses knocked on the door. He stood still and waited for the door to be opened but nobody answered or even opened the door for him. He knocked thrice on the door again and waited again. He could hear the clackity sound of metal kitchenwares thrown into the sink. He was pissed by their procrastination and banged the door thrice with his fist. Hayabusa heard the banging of the door and rushed to it and unlocked the door.
To his surprise, it was a man who he had known for many years and invited him to come in at an instant. The man removed his sunglasses and put them in his pocket of his light grey jacket. He stepped into the hotel room and set his eyes on the
sleeping maiden. His eyes shone then he jumped onto the bed and hugged Nobara who was currently asleep. He rubbed his face against her as she was awakened by his sudden presence.

"Go away you-" pushing the man away was an arduous task that she paused as she felt her head spinning.
Her eyes were spinning in a spiral shape and her head kept falling behind as she forced herself to look up straight.
"Noba imouto-chan!! Don't worry, your onii-chan is here to displace your fever," the man supported her head.
Yuu peeked through the kitchen door and returned to Hayabusa who was busy scooping the hot chicken rice porridge into a white bowl. He asked him about the vague visitor who was hugging the maiden. Somehow, the man looked like the male version of Nobara but with short and brown hair and he had heterochromatic eyes; red and amber.
"Nozomu, don't you have work to do other than messing up with me?" Nobara asked while massaging her forehead.
Nozomu smiled then sat beside her and massaged her head slowly and smoothly. Hayabusa interrupted their conversation and put the bowl of porridge on the cabinet next to her bed.
"Nozomu, it has been a long time, matey! How's your business trips? I believe that your current work is in Paris," Hayabusa smiled.
"Even with vampires roaming outside, they still thinking about money?" Yuu told himself as he insulted the human race.
"Yes, life is harsh and my busyness prevents me from returning to even my own homeland. In addition, who is that ghastly looking man and he smells like a stray dog!" Nozomu judged Yuu with his cold heterochromia eyes.
"Thank you for the compliment, sire," Yuu replied with exasperation.
The two men exchange glances while judging each other. Yuu was totally pissed by Nozomu's fancy dress and his clinginess meanwhile Nozomu was annoyed by Yuu's presence. Hayabusa smiled nervously and neglected the fact that they were defying each other telepathically. He ignored them and fed Nobara the porridge. Nozomu stared at Hayabusa feeding his younger sister and smiled.
"Noba imouto-chan, onii-chan came here because I'm so worried about the fact that you're sick. I heard your voice screaming and complaining about your car," cried Nozomu while staring at her with his wet eyes.
Hayabusa paused and felt guilty about her sports car.
"You do have extraordinary ears to hear her voice, eh?" Yuu said sarcastically.
"Not ear but brain. I hacked her phone so I could track what she says and monitor her daily life through the camera," Nozomu proudly replied.

"Ehhhhh?! That's disgustingly creepy. You act like a stalker more than an overprotective big brother," Yuu replied in surprise.
"Yes I am- what are you talking about!!" Nozomu screamed with embarrassment.
_______________
Nobara slept soundly on the bed and her sleeping pose allowed her to look like a princess. Nozomu took the wet towel from her forehead and immersed it in a bowl of cold water. He twisted it until no more water could be seen dripping and placed it on her forehead again. He stroked her head and smiled.
"Ahh, she's always been cold to me ever since we were young. She used to be a kind and softhearted girl not until she learned martial arts. She started to beat me for training, she uttered, she's unique somehow. By the way, Hayabusa-dono, why are you here living together with my little sister and that odd foreign man?" Nozomu glared at Yuu with a face full of disgust.
"Oh, it's only temporary, until the upcoming sentinel event is held then I leave. Are you here for the event, Nozomu? I'm glad that it's being held in Japan, no travel is necessary," Hayabusa replied.
"Yes, what a coincidence but since my adorable little sister is sick so I came here to visit her in advance. I'm looking forward to seeing her battling with the other sentinels for the first time."
"Well, I digress," Hayabusa replied.
"By the way, Hayabusa-dono, do you mind telling me about my little sister's parade? How is it going to be?" Nozomu asked with inquisitiveness.
Nobara touched her forehead and pressed her head as if something was pressuring it. The three men panicked and put Nobara to sleep at instant. Nozomu's words were too powerful to hurt her physically. She looked like a wee baby the longer she slept.
"Alright, gentleman, I'm afraid that I must leave, conditionally," Nozomu lifted his flat bum from the chair and was ready to leave.
Hayabusa nodded his head as a gesture of goodwill. Nozomu left immediately but not in a rush. Yuu stared at the door then turned to Hayabusa as he lifted his shoulders.
Few hours later, Nozomu contacted Hayabusa to bring Nobara with him down to the hotel lobby for which he obeyed. Yuu just followed the two figures as a bodyguard. Nobara sluggishly walked, following Hayabusa's steps beside her. Yuu was a bit annoyed by the lovey-dovey-like couple in front of him; Hayabusa wrapped his arms around Nobara's shoulder, supporting her wobbling body.
There at the lobby, Nozomu was waiting for their arrival with a bright smile. He sauntered closer to them and covered her eyes with a light blue cloth. He took her hands and pulled them slowly.
"Where are we heading to?" Nobara asked slowly.
"I fear that you mustn't know your answer now, you must adhere to my steps and instructions," Nozomu directed her.
Nobara headed to wherever her hand was pulled. The soft pull force on her hand allowed her to indicate the direction but unfortunately, she couldn't predict the obstacle in front of her. She marched and marched and stopped as the pulling force terminated in a sudden. She felt the fabric being loosened from her eyes then opened her eyes slowly. Everything was blurry and bluish at first and slowly improving as she glared ahead. To her surprise, a similar looking white Lamborghini Aventador car laid right in front of her.
"Blimey! I can't believe it!" Putting her left hand on her chest, she gasped.
"Indeed, what you see is what you think it is. You may acknowledge this as yours because it's yours. I'm happy that it's clean and no more grostheque doodles and spots could be seen on any part of its beautiful body," Nozomu smiled while rubbing her skinny shoulder.
Hayabusa put his huge palm on her forehead and sensed no more excessive heat exuded from it. He smiled and happily declared her healthiness as they had sacrificed certain hours just to nurse her. She touched her head with the tip of her fingers.
"Onii-chan, thank you and I love you sooooooo much!!" Nobara adorably thanked and immediately embraced her brother.
"Absolutely, if it's for my adorable imouto-chan!" Nozomu proudly replied with a bright smile.
Nobara squeezed Nozomu's body tightly then flipped him to the back with his head, hit the hard tiles ground and unintentionally broke the floor with a hole.
"You hellish brat!! How dare you cure my fever!!! Now I've no reason to escape the sentinel parade!!" Nobara cried with ire.

Tales of Demons and Dragons - An Original Xianxia GameLit
One or more chapters per day Directly Inspired by Tales of Demons and Gods, with an Italian (European) spin and magic on top of cultivation. Mix of light comedy and very dark parts. Darker chapters are marked with a disclaimer. Synopsis: Jacob reincarnates in his 15 years old body. It's just a few minutes before the Change that brought Demonic Beasts swarming all over Earth. In a matter of hours, all the big Capital Cities are razed to the ground. Dragons invaded Rome; Hydras assaulted Venice. Even nastier monsters lurk in the dark. Sadly, his talent is abysmal, and virtually everyone is stronger than him. And he knows that Demonic Beasts are not his only concern, for humans can be far more malevolent at times. St. Peter, Jacob's small mountain hometown in Abruzzo, houses only a few hundred. And since bigger monsters appear in more populated cities, they are relatively safe, or so he thought. But, he soon realizes that even if he went back in time, not everything is the same. And one thing is for sure: he is not the same. His soulmate is now in front of him once again, but things are different. Maybe too different. Follow Jacob in his struggles to protect everyone, change his talent, acquire strength, confront lost loves, and maybe meet new ones. This reincarnation story shows that people who can go back to their past may not be as successful as they thought. I will write no harem in this story. The protagonist may be involved with more than one girl, but not every female will fall at his feet. Swearing will be censored whenever possible since some people do not like explicit forms. However, the censoring will be minimal, like "Fuc**ng." [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

World Labyrinth
Meet our hero: an average young man with an average life, who ended up dying while working an average job. However, he's a given a chance to see another world at the final crossroads of his old life. The catch... well... he knows there's one. There always is. But, hey, when you're about to die, you take whatever opportunity's provided to you. This is the young man's story in the new world as he learns he can't afford to be average anymore. AUTHOR'S NOTE: I've decided to put this note up due to some comments and ratings left for this ORIGINAL FICTION complaining its boring. This story starts slow and it takes time for things to pick up. Also the MC doesn't start off as superman or become superman magically in two chapters. He also is AVERAGE... so it takes time to build up his character. Starting chapter 14 or so things pick up, but this isn't a pure hack and slash and skills level up story like most of the FF on this site. Just giving you a warning, so you don't end up disappointed and end up having to post large paragraphs complaining about the story... I also post on average every TWO OR THREE DAYS, so you'll get more to read.

Mature warning is only there for some less-than-polite language.)
