Although that got him thinking—"Hold on a second," Aleister said as he came to an abrupt stop, causing Myra to bump into him.
"Hey!" she said with a pout.
"Uh, yeah, sorry about that," he blurted, "But, it just dawned on me that you're a priestess of Lillith..."
Kyoko looked at him as if he was crazy. "What do you mean, you just realized that? There's no way you're that stupid."
"You didn't let me finish," he said. "You're a priestess of Lillith, but you also have the Crystal bloodline."
"Where exactly are you going with this?" Kyoko asked, still bewildered.
Myra, however, did seem to understand his line of thinking, causing her eyes to widen. She tugged on her hair and said, "Wait, I think I understand what you're getting at, and if that's the case..."
"Oh, are you talking about the fact that my soul is split?" she asked as she shrugged her shoulders.
"Yes!" Aleister exclaimed. "Why are you so casual about it?"
"Because it really isn't that big of a deal."
Aleister wanted to slam his face into a giant wall right about now.
"She's right, it's not too surprising considering her background," Syn said, appearing out of thin air.
"Even considering her background, what do you mean, it's not too surprising? "
"Um, are you talking to yourself," Syn said.
In explanation, Myra said, "This happens sometimes. He's probably talking to his Contractor right now."
"His—contractor?" This time it was Kyoko's turn to be shocked. "What rank did he say he was again?"
"As far as I know," Myra scratched her cheek, "He doesn't have one?"
"What!" Kyoko rubbed her forehead with her fingers. "How are you, the surprised one here? How many people do you know that have contractors?!"

"No one, but," Aleister responded with nonchalance, "I don't know anyone else that has a split soul. Besides, having a contractor is absolutely pointless without being a Weaver."
"How useless?" Kyoko asked.
"I can't even use any of the powers. In fact, the first part of the contract, is to become a Weaver!" Aleister complained. "Imagine that!"
"This whole situation is even crazier than I thought," said a familiar voice that came from right next to him. "How are you not a Weaver yet?
Aleister took a step back. "Before I say anything else, why are you here, why are you eavesdropping, and for how long?"
"I only just started since I was coming back after purchasing some stuff. That was when I heard your annoying voice yell the word yes from the top of your lungs. And as for why I'm here, that is the wrong question. I should be the one asking you that. Why are you back here a day later? Nothing has changed."'
"Who is this?" Kyoko asked.
"Name's Luo Yun," he said, before Aleister got the chance to respond.
"Luo...Yun? That last name sounds vaguely recognizable."
He smirked. "I'm somewhat surprised that you would even vaguely recognize it considering I'm not from around here. Although, hearing such an uncommon name would probably be something someone would remember more."
"As I was going to say," Aleister cleared his throat, "This is Luo Yun. He's from some rich clan from the Icewind Tundra. This is then where you would have said something like, hi Luo Yun, I'm Kyoko, crown princess of the Lillium Empire. And then Luo Yun would have responded with—"
"Wait, wait, wait," Luo Yun waved his hand rapidly in front of Aleister. "What did you just say?"
"Yeah, that's about the reaction I expected."
"I just said how I thought this was crazy, but how did it escalate from there?" Luo Yun asked.
Aleister explained the whole situation as they walked to Luo Yun's dojo and residence.
