《The Royal Mage》Chapter Fourteen^

Cyra was all too happy to prove herself after she watched Rime beat their so called teachers to a pulp, she knew that they wouldn't put her against such people, after all in most of their eyes she was nothing more than a child, but she would prove herself capable of being more than just that, after all Rime needed her as much as she needed him.
She collected her Chúi from one of the instructors that Rime had just beaten up and walked to the center of the arena to stand from across her trainer who would be her first opponent, and most likely the only adult she would face until she was a bit older. The four year old took a deep breath and slammed one of the hammers into the ground and used the momentum to propel her tiny body into the air.
She threw one of her hammers at her trainers head and watched her foot before throwing the other one to the spot she predicted her teacher would stop. She was right with her assumption but her trainer used one of her hammers to knock Cyra's own away. Cyra pouted and quickly dashed forward snatching up one of her hammers as she moved past her teacher, she threw herself forward and snatched up the other before dashing to the other side of the ring and turning to face her trainer.
She watched as the older woman smirked, feeling happy with herself at the thought of defeating a four year old. Cyra rolled her eyes and dashed forward, she used her teachers moment of distraction to slam one of her hammers down on the woman's foot, her trainer hissed but didn't have time to focus on that pain before the other hammer was broth down on one of her knees.
The older woman tried to move out of the way but with how small Cyra was it made her quicker and more agile and within a second she had shot herself up in the air and was able to come face to face with her teacher, effectively using the moment to punch her teacher in the face, her hands were small but she was able to put enough pressure into it to send her teacher stumbling back.
Cyra dropped to the ground and pushed herself forward, she ran up her teacher effectively pushing her onto her back before she rest both of the hammers on her neck. She heard a whistle and smiled as she removed the hammers and stepped back. She watched as her trainer stood up and leaned down patting Cyra on her head before collecting the weapon's and making her way to the the stands.
Cyra looked over at Rime and waved at him with a big smirk on her face. She ran quickly and collected her Sai before running back to face her opponent, she smiled at the sight of the older boy glowering at her. She could see that he thought they were mocking him, which meant that he would be too easy to defeat, she always felt bad for the people that underestimated her.

Cyra gave the boy a once over deciding quick attacks would bring a quick end to the match, because once he realized she wasn't a joke things would get tougher for her, after all he had maybe twelve, fourteen years of training on her. Cyra propelled herself forward and dropped to her knees sliding between the boys legs, she slammed her elbows into the back of the boys knees effectively bringing him to the ground.
She swished around and moved to slash his back with the sai but the boy rolled forward out of her reach. She didn't wait but pushed herself forward, slamming her tiny body into his, the boy thought it was a good idea to lock her against him but was proven wrong when Cyra slammed her head into his.
Ignoring the pain she broke free of his hold and pushed him back onto his back after punching him square in his nose and listening for the sound of his nose breaking. When she finally got him on his back she used the time to climb onto his chest and put the pointed edge of her Sai against his throat.
The match was called and Cyra stood up watching as the boy did the same, instead of stomping off in a fit like she expected him to, he simply nodded at her and went on his way. Cyra shrugged and looked to get her other weapon, she smiled at the sight of her favorite weapon, she was told not to specialize in one weapon but if she could she would pick this one.
The Kusari-gama was a long chain with a shyte like blade on one end and a blunt peace of metal on the other. It required a person to be swift, balanced and have great control over the weapon so it did not come back to injure themselves instead of their intended target. Cyra moved to the center of the ring and wrapped some of the chain around her hips.
She looked over at her opponent, who was a tall, lithe girl with metallic eyes, Cyra could tell the girl was easy and guessed the eyes were most likely acting as a distraction one she would not fall for. Cyra took a deep breath and pushed herself into a spin as she went straight for the girl who had also done the same thing.
Cyra's eyes followed the older girls moves and with a single flick of her finger the blunt end of her chain was headed for the girls face, who barely manged to pull away in time the blunt end only grazing the tip of her nose. She didn't wait for the girl to regain balance as she flicked her wrist and sent the bladed end of chain flying towards the girls ankle while the other end of the chain caught the girls own that was heading straight for her stomach.

In a second the girl was knocked off of her feet and and her chain was sent sent flying across the arena into a vacant are of the stand. Cyra spun her chain and brought the blunt end down on the girls rib cage causing her to cry out and the match was called.
One of the teachers collected the weapon and allowed Cyra to head over to Rime and the rest while the other opponents went to help the girl. When she reached the Arch Mage watched her and smirked "what a show, you were absolutely perfect, I wish we had more time to watch you beat the older students to a pulp, but time is of the essence." Cyra nodded at the smirking Mage "with that said, the two of you go prepare to leave."

Rime smiled down at Cyra who held onto his hand as they headed out of the arena following behind the Arch Mage, their trainer and Sic, who were discussing how their training would go from now on. Cyra was eating one of the chocolates that the chef packed in her bag as they went along.
When they reached to wherever the Arch Mage was taking them, they would be able to eat their lunch before beginning their training for their magic. They followed the others to the front gates, where there seemed to be a crowd of some kind. As far as Rime knew the area was supposed to be almost cleared like the rest of the school because it was the weekend and even the children that stayed in the dorms would not be found in the school.
Rime reached down and pulled Cyra's hood over her head before doing the same with his, he pulled her closer to him and sped up his pace so they were closer to the Arch Mage, who simply gave the crowd a simple glance before walking past. He had much more interesting things to do than trying to find out why a crowd was gathered where they should not be.
They were able to pass through the gates and a large carriage was waiting for the them, the mage stepped back allowing Rime and the other's to go first. When he got in he pulled the door closed behind him and took a seat next to Cyra who was sitting next to Rime across from Sic and their now former trainer.
Rime gave Cyra a few more chocolates and focused his attention outside on the passing buildings as the older companions continued their conversation "What strengthening exercises have they been doing, since their training began?" Sic asked staring at his sister who looked away from Rime to him.
"Just the basics, they had never done any before so I started from the bottom, so it would be able to stretch them out and help them to be lighter on their feet." she shrugged "and they haven't done any muscle strengthening exercises because that just kinda worked itself out when they started training with me."
Sic nodded and sighed taking notes in a book he had been carrying around "well I should get them started with some of that first it would help them greatly, especially Cyra and she wouldn't have to focus so much on using tricks in order to survive. The only reason she left the ring without any bruises was because many of the opponents were frightened by the murderous looks they were receiving from Rime and the Arch Mage."
The Arch Mage smirked at him "she's four years old, this isn't even supposed to be a conversation we're supposed to be having around her. We should be talking about getting her paints and papers and the mess she made in the living room and how late she slept, even my daughter didn't have it this bad when she was her age, if I think about it she didn't begin her training till she was ten."
Sic shook his head "That was her reality and this is Cyra's and if we said we didn't want it to be done, the elves would be all too happy to take her and have Rime locked away or maybe they'd take him too. Whatever I do is for them to be able to protect themselves in the future, because I'd be stumped if people didn't move to snatch or kill them if this were to get out."
The carriage came to a stop and Rime turned his attention back to the inside of the carriage "okay this is my stop, I'll get in touch with you tomorrow, by then I should have worked out what to do with them." with that he was out the carriage and it was moving again.
The carriage was silent until it pulled up to a large silver gate that looked as if it had fangs running the top, the trainer looked out the window and said something, the get vanished and carriage moved forward before the gate reappeared. That was the first time Rime had seen something like that and it had him wondering where they were.
The carriage soon came to a stop again and this time the door opened, their trainer was the first to exit followed by the Arch Mage and finally Cyra and Rime who carried their packs. He looked up at a large building that was made out of a black stone that shone silver in some area's, the trainer's voice drew Rime's attention to her "Welcome to the home of the Lycan."
