《Re:Hammer - The Hammering》Chapter 12

Emia was, stunned. The floating man, the regal appearance, the general beauty of Muddy - who was being called Egwene by the floating man - and the great Metal Beast they were in. And so while she stared, someone else came in.

“Finished talking to your Witch Hunter?”. Emia looked over to them and saw a woman. Of sorts. She was clad in a form-fitting suit of black armour, and a dainty little tiara sat on her head. While these were definitely no ordinary things and did draw her eyes, it was the woman’s face that held the attraction for Emia. There was something horribly otherworldly about her beauty. It was beyond what Emia could fit into her simple Agri-World mind, so beautiful that her mind was viciously savaged by her appearance. And the title was something else as well.

Filnon Darkfury - level 30 Queen Of Catastrophe

The title was certainly interesting. But a level 30 with a black name tag. The “You will most probably die if you try to fight this one” level, twenty levels lower than her. She frowned and asked her System to explain that one, since it did actually talk to her.

The colour-scheme is now relative difficulty to you, not just pure level advantage. Filnon’s an exceptional fighter without the system, plus you’ve still got 200 points to spend on stats. As you are, even a level 1 in Power Armour would be a black threat to you

Well, that made sense. The problem was, she didn’t know what she wanted to do, so didn’t know what to spend the points or the traits or the job on. She did have a pair of really cool guns, the Forgefire Lasgun and the Troll-Drenger, so maybe she’d go gunnery?

Pulled from her thoughts by the beautiful woman poking her in the head, Emia jumped and stared back at her after settling down. There was something about her that spoke to Emia’s very soul. Beyond time, she needed this woman to accept her, and love her, to need her and want her.

“Hello” Filnon said, giving a smile.

“H-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-” Emia’s stuttering was eventually cut off with a soft laugh.

“Hmm. So a faithful nun farmer? That is about as far from Estaria as one could possibly get. Maybe that’s why you have no recollection of her?” Filnon spoke. The name, ‘Estaria’, made Emia’s heart skip a beat, but she didn’t know why.

“R-....reincarnation, right? The, box that came up?” Emia muttered, looking up to the pale woman. The pointed ears were so inviting, she just wanted to…

“Yes. Just keep it in mind and we’ll talk me if anything comes up” Filnon then gently brushed Emia’s face. so fast and so smooth it was awe-inspiring to see. Emia felt weak at knees looking at her, and the collar she was wearing was hot and sticky.

“Surprising show of restraint, Filnon. But we should get back on topic. Emia, I am taking you to a friend, Lovora Stern. She is the Cannoness of the Singing Sisters of White Cathedral. Their faith should help you get the Daemon under control. Plus, others are going to come for you. Chaos worshippers who want you on their side, or dead, or like how you were under Teliandra. So you’ll need to be able to protect yourself. My Arch-Militant will be able to help you learn some basics, but Lovora will teach you much better in Sororitas tactics as well” Egwene explained, leaving the stunned Emia to just stare and then nod when she heard the last bit. Adeptus Sororitas were the most honourable servants of The Emperor she could imagine joining. To have the chance…

“‘Ey Xenos!~” The bridge was busy, and Emia turned to see a woman come in. Custom-fitted Carapace armour cut a flattering figure while still having the protective capabilities of normal armour. Added to the large pair of hand-cannons on her side, and her identity was clear.

“Hello. Come to prostrate yourself and become my property?” Filnon replied without missing a beat. These two, seemed to have quite the dynamic.

“Unfortunately no, as fun as it sounds, I am here for the one who’s already got a slave collar on” the woman nodded to Emia who was currently blushing deeply and trying to hide her face, not that it was working at all on account of aforementioned collar.

“You should go, Emia” Filnon replied, a surprisingly soft tone to her. Gently brushing a hand through her hair, Filnon then vanished, moving out of Emia’s perception and over to Egwene in a moment, talking some technical shop about something.

“Right then! I’m Mirja, the Arch-Militant. Boss has told me to get you up to speed on weaponry, so that is what I am going to do. To the firing range!” With that rambunctious exclamation, Emia was almost chased off to practice.
