《Re:Hammer - The Hammering》Chapter 9.5

A soft, gentle clicking across the stones of the room heralded the Mother Superior. This place, this castle, was found many years ago by her predecessor, and was one of the safe zones for her order as they plotted their plans. The Throne in front of her was the only seat, but she had been warned never to sit on it. So too was she warned not to pass through the large double doors beyond the Throne. This didn’t leave much of a safe zone to have, but there was a kitchen with all the food one might require, and it had a strangely absent presence in both the Matterium and Immaterium. How her predecessor found it, was a question that was never asked, nor answered. Secrets were the life-blood of her Order, and that it existed was all she would ever know.
Discarding the emergency teleporter - an arcane device that would bring her here from any point in the Galaxy, but only once, as now it smouldered and spluttered with the effort of such a charge - she sent the message of success to her superiors, and then took off her robes. While she had no real issue with working in a chapel or with the Emperor’s faithful, it was taxing to be there for as many years as she was. The freedoms that cult gave were marred by the many restrictions Faith caused. But suddenly, while making herself a dinner made from more than the humble fare that was allowed her in the chapel, the air was filled with a strange and terrifying noise.
“Nyaha!~”
Teliandra immediately drew her sword, glowing with runes of power, and strolled into the main hall, standing stunned as she saw a beautiful Felinid sitting crossways on the throne. Dressed in something that looked to be a facsimile of an Imperial Noble’s maid, but coloured in red and black, the woman seemed the epitome of demure service. And yet, those blazing red eyes and the psychic smoke that surrounded her, billowing out of her like the fires of every forge ever made…. this woman was not something to mess with, so Teliandra took the stance of the Double-Headed Eagle. Though she was confused. Why had they said not to sit upon the throne when this being now did so? Was it her throne to sit on?

“I guess with you being here, you’ve succeeded at last. Was it everything you could wish for?” The cat girl asked. That smiled on her face was something that boiled Teliandra’s blood. Made her furious. How dare this brat speak to her in such a manner, slouched on a throne so disrespectfully, and dressed like a servant when she was clearly meant to rule!
“You will know nothing of it” Teliandra replied, sliding her fingers down her blade and channeling her psychic power through its Psi-Convector, making the blade shudder as she unleashed her order’s secret Exalted Blade Art. The perfect culmination of focused Empyrean might; Ying Sunset. The strike screamed through the air, slicing through the throne and the stone wall behind as if they were made of wet paper. But the cat girl was nowhere to be seen, having vanished in an instant.
“Ohh, so that’s the sister technique. I always wondered, but it’s rare to find a Psyker capable of pulling it off, you know” The cat girl spoke from behind her, and Teliandra knew immediately what was going on.
“Eight-Way Arrival…how do you know our techniques?!” Teliandra demanded, sliding the blade over to face her.
“We’ve met, your order and I. Similar goals, after all. I was given three scrolls, to never oppose you. Which, I am not doing. I was really just here for a conversation, but then you went and tried to kill me. So forgive me for being rough” the cat girl smiled, and then raised her Greatsword. The ornate construction on it was breathtaking, as much as the screams of the billion beings whose blood it had spilled. The cat girl slide her fingers up the sword, and then gave a smirk as Teliandra focused all her powers into the creation of a single-faced shield. Then she came, with unnatural speed and incredible force, slicing through her shield, the Force Sword, and her body with one swing. Her mastery of Yang Sunrise was sublime, and the force of the blow threw her into the air, and then smashed the whole castle around them, crumbling the roof and threatening to bury them under a thousand tons of rock. Teliandra recovered from the sword cut, but had no strength left to stop the roof.

Fortunately, the Cat Girl stood there, and the rocks bounced off an aura of Warp Energy giving them a safe space in the catastrophe.
“I always thought that the claims of your Order being Daemonhosts was full of crap. But it seems not” The cat girl grinned, and then a man...or a woman, appeared. It seemed to be so delightfully both genders at the same time. Neither favouring nor leaning towards one or the other. “Now, let’s hear what plans you have for your new toy” the cat girl then took a step back, the dual-natured being came forward, and after much highly talented work, Teliandra told them everything.

The Reaper's Legion
Earth: An advanced inhabitable world in the ideal colonizable range. Moderate temperatures and consistent weather patterns make this planet an incredible resource, along with a wealth of animals and wildlife beyond most worlds. Levels of technology in local populace indicate a sharp trend towards interstellar travel, but still needs to make the last push to acquire reasonable interstellar technologies. Up until quite recently, Earth has not been a fully classified planet and was largely unknown. Due to biotic activity in the quadrant, however, attention has been drawn to Earth and many other possibly habitable planets in the regions, primarily for quarantine and control tactics. Average athletics, above average intelligence, but somewhat gifted in marksmanship, the post-apocalyptic earth has been a trial by fire for him and many others. Creatures that resemble bastardized wolves roam the land in packs numbering in the thousands. With entire cities decimated, those that remain are left with the harsh reality that they may be witnessing the end of humanity. And yet, there is a chance. Humanity knows they are not alone in the universe - the wolves are case enough for that - but what they do not know is that they are not alone in their plight. They are not without aid. 8 187A City of One
A three-part story about a mad scientist, a child of death, and a man plagued by imminent doom. Part 1: He's the last man on earth, and it's all his fault. The time counts down as Cain fights against the remains of a fallen world in order to complete a mysterious mission. Where did all the people go? What is Cain's goal? Find out in "A City of One." Author recommendation: This story is best read slowly with sad music playing in your ears. (The Interstellar soundtrack and the song Undaunted, by Audio Machine, are some excellent tone-setters for this tale.)

After all this worl d is really boring. I mean if it wernt for books i would probably have snapped years ago. However if i had known then what i know now, i would have thought that i should have commited every sin possible and then died in a shootout that somehow ended with me getting hit by a truck. After all i got my wish and reincarnated as a demon! But no evil karma equals my new life that starts out as the weakest little lesser imp. Well fuck.
