It didn't take us long, to arrive at Nick's house. Nick was sitting in his chair, with his eyes closed. He asked, "All done?". I replied, "Yes. I just need to keep an eye on Rand. Just in case he survives this somehow. I brought antidote for you, here take it". Nick shook his head, "It's useless for me. I don't need it, I'm dead anyway. About Rand? He will die, you don't have to worry about him. But if you must, you can check later". He then reached into his pocket, and took out the bag from before. He said, "Take this. Inside, you will find all the items and some money. I guess you will get some more after you pillage this village, hahaha... Cough.... Cough". I took the bag, and looked at Nick. He smiled while saying, "It's a shame. I will never know how you grew up". I sighed, and replied "Yes". We stayed like this in silence for a while, looking at each other. Different thoughts ran through my mind. After a while of silence, I said "I shall remember what you did for me. I'm glad to have had such teacher and friend. Now, let me show you the carnage I created". Nick got excited, but didn't say anything. I picked Nick up together with his chair, and carried him outside. I could already hear people waking up. This meant that the poison started to do its work. I placed Nick near the square that had the best view of the village, and waited. After a while, people began running out of their houses, and vomited blood. The weaker people would die after one or two vomits, and would just lay there on the street. Dead, not even aware of what really happened. I looked at Nick, and he seemed to enjoy himself. The wold classified him as being evil, it was in his nature. But just because the world thought like that, it didn't mean he was unkind. He could've destroyed the village a long time ago, but he didn't. He had his own values, and just because he enjoyed carnage, I was sure he only enjoyed this if people deserved it. This village was twisted and sick, I felt nothing when those people died. 'All people have some kind of values... I wonder if there is someone who has none' I thought. People were dying left and right, while we just stayed there and watched. As if this didn't concern us at all. Some people noticed us standing at the square. Fear filled their eyes, because anyone would be scared of unknown. After a while, most normal villagers died. I could then see Grond running towards Rand's house, as if it would save him. At some point, he tripped and smashed his face straight into the ground, which was littered with corpses. He screamed, but nothing would save him. He died just like that, joining other corpses on the street. The poison was actually really vicious. It spread faster, the more physical activities a person did. I was numb to the scene of these villagers dying like flies. Since the day I killed Dina, I hardly felt such emotions. I looked at Nick, and he was also coughing out blood. He was different than the other villagers though. I could see excitement in his eyes, as well as smile on his face. Nick said, "Nex. The road ahead is thorny for you, but if you persist and preserve, nothing will be able to stop you in the future. YOU SHALL ACCOMPLISH BIG THINGS!" and with the last cough, Nick died. This was the last thing, that Nick ever told me. 'I shall accomplish big things...' I thought, as tears swelled up in my eyes. I didn't remember, how long it was since I last cried. I lifted Nick up from his chair and went towards his house, to lay him down in the bed. I would bury his corpse later, next to Dina, who was still fresh in my memories. Although I didn't know her long, she managed to make an imprint in my memory. Shelly rubbed its head on my leg, it also seemed sad. I patted its head while saying, "I will be fine, Nick wanted to see this before he died, and we fulfilled that wish. He can now rest in peace". After taking one final glance at Nick, I left to take care of the villagers that might've still survived. Outside, I walked towards Rand's house while piles of corpses littered both sides of the street. I walked forward not caring about the dead, or those who were dying. After a few minutes of walking, I arrived at the house belonging to Rand. I could see bodies of strong men laying in front of the gate. I walked past the gate, and went straight into the house. There were more bodies inside. I followed the trail, towards the main bedroom. Before I could arrive there, I saw Rand walking towards me with shaky steps. I looked at him and just enjoyed the sight. I saw him as a weak and helpless little Human, who was at life's end. When he saw me and Shelly standing together, unaffected by the poison, I could see anger in his eyes. He coughed up some blood, and asked "Why did you do it?". I looked at him while replying, "Because I could. What you did was no less painful to me, than what I'm doing right now". His expression changed many times, I could see regret, fear, anger, hatred and helplessness flash through his face. I continued, "You yourself brought this disaster upon this village. But don't worry, your granddaughter is not in any better situation. I made sure she will never have descendants, neither will that so called young master, that you revered so much. All of that, because you wanted to abuse your standing, and one human being". I laughed out loud, "Life is weird, right? You wanted to use me for the rest of my life and yet, I'm the reason why you and everyone you know lost their lives. This village is ruined and your bloodline is ruined too. All you have left is death". Rand stood there frozen, unable to answer. Whether it was shock, rage or other reason, it was no longer my concern. I turned around, and said "Embrace your death, that is your reality now". Rand's final cough reverberated through the mansion, and he dropped dead in his own pool of blood. I walked outside the house, and immediately noticed the silence. No more screams, cries or hurried steps. Total silence. Just like a silent night in a serene forest, with nothing around. I said to Shelly, "Let's go. We need to wait outside of the village, for the Cloud Haze Poison to disperse. We will return in the morning". Shelly nodded its head, and followed after me.
