《12 Hand Asura》Sadness

Zio couldn't believe what he is seeing, instead of the massive forest that was there before, now it is just a barren land with a massive rock sitting in the middle.
"Where is my clan?"
Zio's voice trembled as he asked this question to himself, the massive beautiful forest that was filled with wild lives, the small clan that was happy with their lives and leaving peacefully couldn't be seen anywhere, it was just a massive burnt ground from where Zio was looking.
"Looks like a meteor crash"
Asura said in a low voice as he saw the meteor in the middle of the barren land, he could also tell there was someone fishy about this, the size of this meteor was not massive enough to cause this much destruction but it did anyways, in his lifetime Asura has seen many things but a natural meteor crash like this, he has never seen it before, he could tell it was clearly staged but he decided to keep quiet for now.
Zio started to run, he didn't care about the slopes, his body moved like a monkey's his figure dug into the rocks as he jumped down fast, the cold didn't affect him, he was just focused on getting down, he jumped from higher places to get down faster, with his tough body he didn't get any scratches but whenever he fell hard on the ground he could feel the pain.
But that didn't stop Zio, he ran and ran, not stopping for a second, he even used the energy inside his body to speed up, during this time Asura kept quiet, he knew this was bad but he couldn't talk now, he needs to let Zio calm down.
"They are alive, they must have escaped before this happened, right?"

Zio started to mumble words, he was broken, he couldn't process this information, the thought of not being with his family broke him, he was very eager to see them after three years but now it is all coming crumbling down.
Zio couldn't expect this, he jumped down and down, finding places to land one after the other, he started to move very fast, it was as if the wind was not even trying to push hi back, the air moved to the side willingly just to make way for Zio.
'He is already using your ability without even knowing what he is doing'
Asura said to the dragon without Zio noticing it.
'What a freak'
The dragon whispered as well, he didn't think this was possible at all, when a human makes a contract with a magical beast they will gain the ability of the magical beast as well.
The Dragon had the power to manipulate wind to his will, he could move faster than anything in this world as the wind never obstructed him and now Zio is doing the same, though he is still not that fast due to the lack of power and speed, he is still faster than anyone who is at his level.
Zio finally reached the bottom of the mountain, this was the same place from where he started his journey up the mountain three years ago, but he didn't stop to take a look because there is nothing to look.
The trees that existed before were gone, the ground has been cracked and burned, even the side of the mountain's path has been burned as well, nothing was left but pure destruction.
Zio kept moving before he was finally able to see the massive meteor in front of him, this meteor might be small compared to some in outer space but this was still bigger than Zio's village, there was no surviving this, and on top of that, this meteor landed right on top of the clan.

Zio went on his keens, unable to take it in, he noticed some people around the massive meteor, they are carrying pickaxes and hitting on the meteor and carrying parts of it away, they all seemed like normal laborers.
Zio ran towards them and stopped one of them in his tracks, the poor laborer was scared when he saw Zio standing in front of him, and seeing the Religan bow on Zio's back the laborer thought that Zio is someone from a rich family, as many cannot afford to have a religan in the city, first it is very dangerous, second they need a lot of resources to convenience a magical beast to follow them.
"What happened here?"
Zio asked while his voice was still trembling a little, his eyes were red from the tears she shed.
Seeing Zio's red eyes, the laborer thought that Zio is angry and quickly went on his knees and begged for mercy.
Zio didn't care what the man was doing, he just wanted to know what happened here.
"I asked what happened here?"
Zio asked once again.
"Three years ago, this meteor fell from the sky, it destroyed everything, the whole forest was destroyed, even the walls protecting the capital city was destroyed by it"
The man said trembling in fear, hoping that he would not get killed.
"What about the Clan Asura that lived in the forest?"
Zio asked. He wasn't having it, the thought of his whole clan dead, not leaving even a single thing behind was something an innocent boy like Zio couldn't take, this was too much for him.
"I heard about this little clan, they were all killed by the meteor. When the meteor crashed the clan was at war with the Clian Family from the Capital, even the Duke of the Clian family died along with his commanders as well"
The man said.
Hearing this Zio finally realized there was no hope, his whole family is gone, his grandpa who cared for him so much, his strict but caring father who thought him how to hunt, his loving mother who would beat him when he messed up and did stupid things and also thought him how to read and write, his friends who played with him all day, his cousin who he loved like a sister, who always ratted him out to his mother, every memory flashed inside Zio's mind and he finally broke.
He started to cry as he buried his face on the ground, his cry alerted every laborer around the meteor, they looked at Zio who is crying, they couldn't tell what was happening, even the man who was kneeling in front of Zio was confused.
They felt sad seeing the young man cry like this, they could tell that the boy has lost his family after hearing him cry out for his parents, an old man came forward and covered Zio's back with a cloth and sat next to him and tried to comfort him.

If he’s going to survive the grueling challenges the academy has in store, he’ll need to ace the odd assortment of classes—Fiendish Fabrication, Dungeon Feng Shui, the Ethics of Murder 101—and learn how to turn his unusual guardian form into an asset instead of a liability. And that’s only if the gargoyle professor doesn’t demote him to a doomed wandering monster first…
