The news about the meteor crash spread like a wildfire, the damage that was done by it was massive, even though the size of the meteor was not very big, its speed and impact did a lot of damage.

The meteor was just 50 meters wide in diameter, the damaged area was about 200 km's, people were shocked by the massive destruction it caused, luckily the city walls were really strong or the whole city would have been devastated by the meteor crash.

Inside the Clian family, everyone is silent, they know what happened, everyone is sad, especially the Grand Duke, Vivien's children, and Vivien's wife, they had no idea that this would happen, that a meteor would kill Vivien.

He had a feeling that his son might lose the battle and come back defeated but that would allow him to grow, and if he had won the battle it meant that he has grown up.

But now all this didn't matter at all, his son is dead and they can't even find his body, everything around the crash site has turned into ash.

Deminius locked himself in his room to greave in silence, the same couldn't be said for Vivien's wife, she bawled all over the palace from the loss of her husband that she loved, Vivien's children are too little to understand what has happened, one of them is six years old and other is just three, they just saw their mother cry and started to cry as well.

While the Clian family is filled with grief and sadness, on the other part of the city a family is smiling and the Clian family's loss, this family belongs to the other Grand Duke, Fernandes.

Grand Duke Marcus Fernandes is the other Grand Duke of the Navi Kingdom who is fighting against Deminius for the thrown, both sides were very busy building up their own power to defeat the other but none of them were getting the upper hand.

But luck came shining upon the Fernandes family, Duke Vivien, son of the Grand Duke died, with one duke less now in Clian family the power scale is off-balance, it is favoring the Fernandes family and if Fernandes family makes the right move, the kingdom will be theirs'.

The current queen is powerless, she can only watch as this happens. When she heard that Duke Vivien died in the meteor crash, she knew that the time for her to get off the throne is getting near, unlike her husband she is not the sharpest tool, she has no idea how to rule a country but the power that comes while sitting on the throne is addictive.

She wished that the Grand Dukes can fight forever so she will rule the kingdom till she reaches her death bed, the reason she wants to continue ruling is because of the royal army, the strongest force in the kingdom, and its leader, the royal commander.

The Royal Commander is someone who is only loyal to the throne, whoever sits in it is his master, the royal commander is also the strongest person in the kingdom, no one can go against him and his loyal followers, the previous king trusted him with his life.

Right now the royal commander is loyal to the queen and her words are his command, with the royal commander by her side the queen is still the strongest person in the kingdom, even though most of the ministers have joined the Grand Dukes they still can't do anything.

The only way to remove the queen from her throne is through the court. If a majority of ministers vote for a new king the queen has to step off from the throne, with the previous situation where the two Grand Dukes were fighting no one had to upper hand so they couldn't vote for a new king.

The queen was safe but now things are different, with the death of a Duke in the Clian family the Fernandes has the upper hand and with a little bit of effort, they can get a majority of the ministers to follow them and then cast a vote for a new king.

If that is done the royal commander cannot do anything but just watch the queen step off the throne, the only way the queen can keep her throne now is if the Fernandes family makes a mistake and puts the queen's life in danger.

If this happens the royal commander can step in and charge the Fernandes family for treason and with the queen's order he will wipe them out.

So the queen wished that nothing major happens and Grand Duke Deminius can turn the table once again and return the balance.
