《12 Hand Asura》First Kill Alone

As Zio watched the white bear get closer to him with its jaws wide open and its claws extended out of its paws, Zio knew he has to release the arrow.
Till now he had been holding his breath and concentrating on his target that is the bear's eye, as soon as he was locked in he released his breath as well as the arrow from his recurve bow, the obsidian arrow shot through the air making a whistling sound at a very high speed.
Recurve bows are powerful long-range bows, the arrows that are shot from them can easily penetrate thin steel armors let alone a bear's eyeball and on top of that the arrow is made from Obsidian, not useful against a steel armor but hides and skin didn't put any resistance against it.
The arrow dug right into the bear's right eye, as soon as this happened Zio rolled out of the way quickly and watched the bear crash on the ground roaring in pain, the arrow has dug deep into the bear's eye but it failed to penetrate the brain to kill it in one shot.
Zio clicked his tongue, his shot was right on target so there was no way the bear could have survived that shot unless there is a peace of bone protecting its brain from behind.
Zio though that it is the only possibility and mounted another arrow on his bow and stood to the side, waiting for the bear to make a move again, he watched as lots of blood squirted out of the punctured eye of the white bear, it roared in pain and went berserk, it looked at Zio with its other eye angrily and charged at him roaring once again.
This time Zio didn't make the same mistake as before and changed his target, instead of the eye, he aimed it at the bear's open mouth, as the bear opened its mouth wide open to chomp down on Zio, Zio released his arrow which went right into the bear's mouth and punctured through its back throat and came out from the other side.

The bear collapsed right in front of Zio's feet motionless, Zio looked at his kill and noticed that the bear is still alive even after getting an arrow straight through its throat.
His arrow actually severed all the nerves that the bear had at the back of its neck causing complete paralysis, with no input from the brain, the bear was as good as dead, well it didn't matter even if it is still alive, it will die in a few minutes, nothing can survive that.
It will die from blood loss and shock.
Zio sat down and took a deep breath, he was scared, this was his first time taking down a wild beast on his own, he was used to hunting but not alone, every time he went on a hunt an adult was there to watch his back so he doesn't get killed when he is distracted.
Luckily for Zio, this mountain path was a simple terrain, there was only one way to come and go, the prey or predator has to follow one path, and Zio can easily see them and come up with a counter.
Zio watched as the bear's pupils dilated slowly as it took its last breath, the bear is completely dead now, with so much blood loss and not able to breathe properly, it died from shock, if it was something else it might have lived, these wild beast are very close to magical beast and they can even survive fatal wounds if they are lucky.
Too back air is the most essential source of life for a living being and with it being cut off, with very little oxygen, its brain completely shut down.
Zio took out his dagger and started to cut some flesh from the white bear since this bear weighs over a ton Zio cannot carry it with him, what he can do is bring some of its meat with him so he can cook them in the right condition for later.

After skinning the fur and skin from the flesh, Zio cut down as much meat as he can carry, he also realized that the fur of this bear can be used as a coat in this cold climate so he started to skin the whole bear from head to toe, he is not an expert in this so the fur he skinned was not perfect but with his size, it didn't matter.
After getting the perfect size fur coat from himself from the bear, he spread it on the snowy area with the bloody side down, snow being very good at observing liquid quickly observed most of the blood on the coat.
Zio could still see blood and it was still wet and sticky on the inside of the fur coat but he couldn't just get rid of that without having much water with him nor the sunlight, for some reason the peak of Mount Asura was always covered by thick clouds so no one could really see what the peak really looks like.
Zio looked at the fur in his hand, he couldn't just let it go because it is not dry enough for him to wear, after thinking for a while he decided to drag it on the path, it may be his only option, as he drags the fur up the path it will get rid of the sticky bit of flesh and blood along the way, it will get dirty but it will still help him keep his temperature high on the go.
After everything was done, Zio took out the arrow that was stuck on the bear's eye, as he pulled it out he noticed that the obsidian tip had shattered from hitting the inside bone of the bear, he then pulled the other arrow from the back of the bear's throat, this one was still fine so it went back with the other arrows, as everything was prepared Zio continued his way up the mountain for something that he read on a very old book.

Far Strider
A college student finds himself transported into a strange land with burgeoning magical powers, and is taken in by Ned Stark. Will he sink or swim in this medieval society, and will he ever get home? ====================== OC-insert without knowledge of Game of Thrones, new planeswalker. Slow power ramp. Second crossover: Star Wars (around chapter 39). ======================= As a note, I started this as a speed writing challenge to myself. The challenge was successful, and I managed 100,000+ words (as well as some character sheets in excel and such) over 10.5 days. Then I had to stop and let my hands recover from their burgeoning carpal tunnel syndrome. The story currently stands at around 150,000 words (or ~550 RRL pages) over 54 chapters; expect a chapter a day until I've caught up with the backlog. The focus of this story was not quality writing, and that hasn't changed. I mostly use it as my semi-guilty "I need to write something, but am not focused enough to write something good" story. Expect self-indulgent writing in general, and a bit of OP (or, well, more than just a bit if we're being honest), especially later in the story as the protagonist matures into a more full-blown Planeswalker. But if you're looking for something with a power-ramping protagonist romping around the place, something you'd be a bit embarrassed to admit liking (I know I am) but like anyways (and come on, this is RRL, so that probably describes just about everyone here who actually has shame), then this may be a nice bit of mental junk food for you.

Shadowcroft Academy for Dungeons: Year One
Build a Dungeon. Slay Heroes. Survive Finals. Wounded Army vet Logan Murray thought mimics were the stuff of board games and dungeon manuals… right up until one ate him. In a flash of snapping teeth, Logan suddenly finds himself on the doorstep to another world. He’s been unwittingly recruited into the Shadowcroft Academy for Dungeons—the most prestigious interdimensional school dedicated to training the monstrous guardians who protect the Tree of Souls from so-called heroes. Heroes who would destroy the universe if it meant a shot at advancement. Unfortunately, as a bottom-tier cultivator with a laughably weak core, Logan’s dungeon options aren’t exactly stellar, and he finds himself reincarnated as a lowly fungaloid, a three-foot-tall mass of spongy mushroom with fewer skills than a typical sewer rat. If he’s going to survive the grueling challenges the academy has in store, he’ll need to ace the odd assortment of classes—Fiendish Fabrication, Dungeon Feng Shui, the Ethics of Murder 101—and learn how to turn his unusual guardian form into an asset instead of a liability. And that’s only if the gargoyle professor doesn’t demote him to a doomed wandering monster first…
