《P I G S》21. Plan

A bit after the bell rang Jack woke up and finally Cheryl woke up about an hour after.
After Cheryl woke up I noticed something
“Where’s the Albino girl?”.
I didn’t even realize that she left until now.
Everyone else didn’t seem to even notice that she left.
No one really wanted to risk leaving the church to find her.
We eventually decided that it wasn’t worth worrying about.
Her entire existence was a mystery.
I only knew her for a few days however, I felt like I knew less about her than the first time that I met her.
While I was thinking about her Ezra brought up an important topic.
Our plan is on where to go once the seventh bell rings.
The pig’s bodies covered the path however, Ezra seemed to remember which direction to go in.
As we talked about it the conversation drifted to who would carry Cheryl.
Jack couldn’t do it especially considering the condition he is in right now.
Annabelle couldn’t do it as she had to take care of Wilson.
The Albino girl wasn’t even here anymore not she looked as if she had the strength to carry Cheryl.
The only people who seemed to have any chance of carrying her were me and Ezra.
Ezra offered to do it and I agreed that he should.
I wasn’t willing to look kind and take on a job I didn’t know if I could even complete.
With that problem being resolved we started to finish the conversation by saying that we should use our bell time tomorrow to scout out the direction.
I thought that we should just all leave before the bell rang however, Ezra seemed worried that the church might attack us if we tried to leave early.
He whispered into my ears

“Do you remember the seventh rule?”. ‘
Seventh, once the seventh bell rings do not return to the church, run here immediately even at the cost of others.’
I could remember any of the rules as if they were told to me a minute ago.
I nodded and he continue to speak
“I think that when it says leaver after the bell rings it means it literally. I imagine that there is something keeping us here until the seventh bell rings.”
I nodded in agreeance at his words.
I didn’t know if he was right however, I didn’t want to find out.
With our conversation out of the way everyone went and started to do their own things.
I sat in silence attempting to mentally prepare myself for tomorrow.
There were less than twenty-four hours until I could get my freedom.
If I was being honest I was terrified of it going wrong.
I thought Bruno, Matilda, and Amar. I didn’t want to end up like any of them.
I wanted to survive.
I was scared of what was out there the image of the Pig people, the crow, the chameleons, and the bear eating the fish were all replaying in my head.
I was scared of meeting those monsters again.
When that final bell rang I wondered who I could trust and who would backstab me.
As I was lost in thought Ezra walked up to me.
He had helped me countless times I felt as if I would never be able to repay him.
When I got out I wanted to spend the rest of my life repaying him for what he has done for me in this past week.
Although I had only known him for a short amount of time he had felt like a fatherly figure that I never had in my life.

Passing on wisdom and risking himself for me.
I still had to figure out his weird martial arts however I hoped that he would tell me all about it once we got off of this island.
As I was thinking about this Ezra finally got close to me and put his hand onto my shoulder. He said to me
“I promise you that you will get home safely.”
he must have noticed my worries earlier. I looked at him and said the only words I could think of
“Thank you.”
---------------------------------------------
As the sun slowly fall and it turned into the evening less light was shining into the church however, my mind was still racing around thinking of everything it could.
I thought about that strange man I had met at the start of my hell here.
I don’t think that I actually ever got his name.
I doubt Joe was his actual name considering how he used it for such a crappy joke.
I felt like all of the answers that I had been craving this entire time would be answered when I met him again.
It was only one night’s sleep away.
I didn’t know how I was ever going to get any sleep.
The Albino girl never did come back.
I wondered if she got caught by one of those monsters.
The thought of her being eaten by one of those monsters filled my mind for a moment however, I quickly erased the thought from my mind.
Cheryl had fallen back asleep and Jack was holding her hand gently stroking her hair with his other.
If it wasn’t for the painful hunger growls coming from my stomach or the constant smell of death around the church this moment may have been quite peaceful.
I was excited to get back home and finally take a shower and eat something other than berries although at this point I would be happy with eating anything.
My thoughts were cut short as a blood-curdling scream. My mind snapped back to reality as I looked around to see what the problem was.
Ezra had already jumped to action and was moving in a direction. My eyes followed him as I saw him run towards Annabelle who had made that scream.
Ezra run-up to her and shock filled his face as he said
“her water broke.”
