《Demons and Candy》Chapter nine

3rd POV
Noya woke up and groaned, she tried to stand, but soon realized she was chained to the wall. She looked up and around, her eyes widened when she saw that Candy was bleeding. She gasped and tears fell down her face, "Candy wake up!" Candy groans, hearing his name be called. Slowly regaining his senses, the first thing he heard was his ears ringing, one of his eyes were shut as well. "Candy!" She tries again.
Candy was fighting against his sense, lifting his head up, trying to slowly open his eyes, only to shut it, when something fell into it. "N-noya?" He calls out, tasting something metallic in his mouth.
"Candy! Are you ok?" She asks.
"Di...dizzy."
"we gotta get out of here, are you able to use your quirk?"
Candy looked at her, ignoring the metallic taste of blood in his mouth. "I can...barely feel...my hands..." he gasps out.
Noya blinks and nods, "somebody help please!" She shouts, as she looks at Candy, "I-I'll figure something out."
Candy coughed, "do...don't waste your voice...I doubt they'll do what you say." He blinked, trying to get the blood out of his eyes. He looked over at Noya to see if she had any scratches, "are you hurt?"
"No, but don't worry about me." Noya says, looking at him.
Seeing how Noya was trying to figure out a way to escape, Candy stood up slowly on shaky legs, and limped towards her, sliding down the wall to sit beside her, the chains clanking behind him, he looked at her once more, "is that Sho's jacket?"
"Yea it is.." Noya mutters, looking at Candy. "Your wounds aren't too deep, but you really need to get the bleeding under control."
Candy chuckles, shaking his head, trying to get rid of the black dots in his vision, he looked at her again, "I found out something important."
"What is it?" She asks, curiously.
Candy takes a deep breath, preparing himself to say what he was about to say. "Sho's older brother is Dabi. Touya Todorokie is alive! He proclaims, tears started to gather in his eyes again.
Noya's eyes widened, "are you sure?"
Candy looked at Noya, "his eyes can't lie. I'd know those turquoise eyes anywhere."
"Well what do we do?"
"I...I don't know." He looks up at her, tears slowly falling down his face, "I don't know..." He whimpers. "Noya...I...I'm scared." Candy whimpers out, clenching his fists.
"It'll be ok, I'll um figure something out" Noya mutters out, even though she was also scared to death. Candy hummed, giving her a weak smile. She looked at him, "we need to get out of here."
Candy's POV
Before I could nod, the metal door across from us screeched open, I snapped my head towards it, and the first thing I noticed was the turquoise eyes. I started shaking, because what's worse, I knew exactly who he is.
"G-go away!" I hear Noya growl.
I gripped Noya's hand, pushing her back a bit, I forced my mouth open. "Why are you doing this Touya?"
Touya walked closer to me, "don't call me by that name!"
I looked at him, "How about Tou instead?" I offered, trying to keep my voice firm.
"The name's Dabi!" He growls, grabbing me by the arm, jerking me up. I squeaked, my voice was gone. All I could do was get dragged by him, still shaking. Dabi growled, chaining me to the ceiling.

I was tip toeing, trying to release the tension from my shoulders, "Dabi...don't do this!" I rasped out, "what do you want with us?"
Shut up!" Dabi growls, grabbing a knife from his back pocket. "We're using you to get your little boyfriend back, and Noya, well she's here because of her parents. If her little boyfriend comes, well...that's just an extra bonus." He chuckles, darkley.
My body was trembling, "do...don't touch her!"
"Hmm, right now it's your turn but don't worry, she'll get a turn as well." He smirks, as he puts the knife on my leg and drags it down, making a deep cut. Feeling the blade sinking into my thigh, ripping my jeans, the blood seeping out, I bit my lip, not wanting to satisfy him with my screams.
Noya's eyes widen, and I hear her should, "please stop! I'll do anything!" Dabi just ignores her, and does the same thing to my other thigh.
Tears fell faster down my face, "n...no." I gulped in a breath, and looked at Dabi. "You can do anything to me, just don't touch her, not even a strand of hair." I grunted out, my voice firmer than I ever imagined.
"Shut up!" He shouts at me, now throwing the knife on the floor, activating his quirk, smirking. "Ready?" He asks, putting the blue fire on the cuts he had just made.
A small scream escaped my throat, I felt my skin melting together, forcing the wound to close. "T...Tou...Touya..." I gasped out.
"The name's Dabi!" He growls, again, as he brings the flames up to my stomach. He then begins to write the name 'Dabi' onto my stomach.
I wasn't able to hold back the scream ripping from my throat. It sounded like an animal growling in pain. I felt every move of his finger against my skin, but I was still able to rasp out. "Do...do you st...still remember me?" I ask, as I take a deep inhale of oxygen.
"Yes, you're an annoying cousin," He growls. After that, I wasn't able to scream anymore. Dark dots were flying around my vision, seeing as I never ate dinner or drank anything, my voice was gone. All I could do was whimper, all at his mercy. Dabi then brings his hand down to the thigh that he hadn't burned yet, slamming his hand down on it, burning a handprint into my thigh.
"STOP!" I hear Noya shout, as tears fall down her face. I hated that she had to watch this scene unfold. I gasped out for air, and hung my head, not being able to hold it up any longer, nor keep contact with his turquoise eyes.
"That's it for now." He says, dropping you, and chaining you back to the wall. He looks at me, "someone will be back later," he says, before walking out. I just laid there, taking gulps of air, trying to fill my lungs with oxygen.
"Candy?" Noya asks, as she crawls over to me, "are you ok?"
I leaned my head on the wall, "everythings numb, so I could be better."
"I'm so sorry," she whispers, looking at me. "I wish I could help."
I closed my eyes, wanting to fall asleep, "it's ok, I'd rather get hurt than you," I mumble out.

Noya's POV
I was trying to hold back my tears, I was scared. I couldn't believe I was back in this place. I didn't wanna cry through, it would be insentive to Candy. My lip trembled as I looked at him, "I-I don't know what we should do anymore..."
"Wait...and hope..." He whispers, out.
I nod, "now sleep, you really need it."
He shook his head, "that'll be me fainting and leaving you alone, so I'll stay awake...for both of our sakes." He smiles softly at me. "We'll be fine soon, not now...but soon."
"I can handle it, I've been dealing with this shit my entire life, please sleep, it'll help with the pain, you didn't hit your head, so you won't have a concussion." I sigh, and he just hums, not sleeping nor answering. I looked at him, as he just stared at the ceiling.
About fifteen minutes later, I see something that horrifies me, my parents...walked into the cell. I looked up, blinking in horror, "what the hell are y'all doing here?" I ask, trying not to cry, since I was really scared. I looked over at Candy who was unconscious.
My mother, Sukishi, eyes me in disgust, and my father Tsukito spoke. "We are here because we know you are more than capable to join us as villains.
"NO!" I shout, growling.
"And why not?" My mother asks.
"I'll never become a villain!" I yell, as I begin to shake slightly.
My mother takes a step closer to me, and I scoot farther back, "and what if you didn't have a choice?"
"You can't make me do it!" I hiss.
"Yes we can, if we just paid that Todorokie boy a little visit, we can change your mind." My father says, coming out from behind my mother.
"NO! Please don't mess with him...please." I whisper, looking down, "I'll do anything."
My mother crouches down, so she is looking me in the eyes, "will you join us then?"
"No!" I hiss again.
"One call," my father says, blankley.
"I hate you! I would never join y'all!"
"One. Call." My father repeats.
"What do you mean by one call?" I ask, clearly confused.
"One call is all it takes, and Todorokie will be dead." My mother clarified for me.
My eyes widened, "please don't!" I plead, as tears fall down my face.
My mother grabs the collar of my shirt, pulling me forward, making the chains pull on my wrists, "then join us, it isn't that hard."
"F-fine..." I mutter, giving in, still crying.
My mother lets go and grins, "good."
"See? That wasn't so hard, now was it?" My father asks, and I growl.
I sniffle, "s-shut up..."
"Oh dear, what will Todorokie think about you switching sides?" My mother asks, in a mocking voice.
"If you touch him, you're dead!" I growl, getting defensive.
I heard Candy groan, as he opened his eyes, "N...Noya?"
"Candy..." I whisper, looking at him, "I'm sorry, I didn't have a choice." I whisper, biting my lip.
"What did they make you do?" He asks, not more alert.
I didn't answer his question, and looked at my parents, "if I do this, you have to let Candy go."
"Hmmm," my mother says, as she looks at Candy.
"Or else I won't do it."
"If you don't, Todorokie dies." My father says.
"Noya, don't listen to them." Candy says, pulling on his chains.
"Candy can go." My mother clarifies.
I nod and look at Candy. "Please tell Shoto I love him, and that I'm only doing this to protect him."
"Noya!" He shouts, "don't do this! Please!"
"I'm sorry, but I don't have a choice. If I don't then Shoto will die."
"The school won't let him die! We won't let him die!" He pleaded, pulling on his chains, "so please! Don't do this!"
"I'm sorry...I'm so so sorry..." I mutter, and look at my parents, "Ok, I'm ready." I gulp.
My father nods, "let's go then?"
"No! Noya please!" Candy pleads, and it broke my heart as I ignored him and looked at my idiotic parents.
"Um, I'm chained to the wall idiot." Also, you have to let Candy go first."
"Noya, don't listen to them! They could be lying to you." Candy shouts, crying blood tears.
"If I don't do this, they'll kill him!" I shouted at Candy, as I started to sob.
He shook his head, "we won't know that for sure, but we have to hold on. We can't succumb to their wishes, Noya!"
"We'll let him go afterwards, don't worry. We just don't want him stopping us, now do we?" My father asks, pulling out his phone, waving it in the air.
"Y-you tricked me..." I mumble, as my eyes widened. "I'm an idiot, I should know all their tricks by now. I've lived with them my entire life, I can handle them through."
"Their villains!" Candy shouts, his voice raw with emotions.
"I know that, I'm not stupid." I grumble.
"OH SHUT UP!" My mother yells.
"That's it, we're leaving." My mother says, unchaining me from the wall.
"NOYA PLEASE! PLEASE DON'T DO THIS! If not me for me then for him." Candy tries pleading again.
"You said you wouldn't hurt Shoto if I joined you. If you try and hurt Shoto after I join you, I won't hesitate to use my thanos snap quirk on you! I growl, as I stand up, glaring at them.
"LEAVE HER ALONE!" I heard Candy scream again.
"Candy, I'm sorry. Please tell Shoto, I love him." I say, looking back at Candy one last time.
"Don't worry, he won't love a villain like you." My father says, grinning, as he pulls me out.
"No, you have to tell him yourself!" I hear Candy shout, as his voice starts getting farther away. I walked away, ignoring him, still crying.
Candy's POV
A man with a mask walked into the cell and unchained me. I felt so tired, I didn't even try to put up a fight anymore, my mind was still on what just happened with Noya and her parents. I didn't care what happened to me anymore, I just let the masked man do what he wanted, letting darkness consume me.

A Mildly Odd Reality Breaker
Omar receives an unexpected visitor who comes baring a gift—a "registration ticket"—in the form of a small metal card. The ticket is itself an offer to participate in the game, "Reality Break." Accepting this offer means that Omar will be able to perceive the true nature of reality where there is not one, but two dimensions of time, and in this second dimension history changes (and somewhat "frequently"). Along with this, he will also gain access to the "chronopause"; another reality that is not so much parallel to our own as it is perpendicular, which acts as both a place and the natural boundary between non-sequential points on the timeline. Using the chronopause, Omar will become a chrononaut with the ability to travel through time, and as a player, he will be given a cybernetic interface and his own portable extradimensional storage space. It's a strange conversation, but due to Omar's dismally short attention span, he only consciously hears that last bit about the portable pocket space, and that's only after the physics-defying void is opened in his living room and literally waved in front of his face. Reality is certainly stranger than most people realize, but then again, so is Omar. Thankfully, he responds well to shiny things, and for better or for worse, his chronic inattentiveness is the least of his psychological issues. Omar also has a mild form of "Oppositional Defiant Disorder" which presents itself as an occasional, arbitrary need to disobey others (especially authority figures). However, his oddest psychological issue by far is his "abnormally hyperactive" subconscious mind. Outwardly and consciously, Omar is a lazy, apathetic man-child prone to mildly asinine behavior. Subconsciously, he's some sort of genius capable of extraordinary feats of cognition. Most of the time, Omar is a (technically) functioning adult, but in order to live as such, he must rely entirely upon unusual abilities he's completely unaware of, despite the fact that he uses them regularly. Up until now, his life had merely been ridiculous, but now it was also a game. Note: The narrative style is that of a reliable narrator with a "3rd-person sarcastic" POV. This story takes place in the Reality Breakers/Chronopause universe.

A quick TL;DR pitch. LitRPG Apocalypse with group progression, a non-overpowered mc, a limited skill-slot System where having a single skill over your opponent could make a big difference. A barrier mage mc who isn’t an Edgelord A sentient System that’s a character in its own right. And no harem or cheat skills. ~<>~<>~ Steven knew the world had ended when a great green and purple dome covered the city of Anchorage. Then things got weirder. First earthquakes, then bolts fell from the sky, changing and twisting the things they hit. Steven, stuck in the throes of apathy, had sought shelter out of boredom more than anything else. But when some fellow survivors are separated and trapped by a rampaging moose, an emotion breaks through his apathy. He can’t turn away. Some people say it’s everyone for themselves at the end of the world. Steven disagreed ~<>~<>~ Will update every Sunday and Tuesday at 9:00am, unless the chapter is beefy, then we'll just have one that week. For some more meta details about this story, it’s a LitRPG Apocalypse with a focus on abilities and how they are used over stats and numbers. It will have group progression, a non-overpowered protagonist, and a focus on unique and interesting classes. No overwhelming advantages for the main crew or broken cheat skills. No harem, some amount of gore, decent levels of profanity.

Beast Dao Cultivator
Hundreds of thousands of years ago, the world was at the peak of its era in the pursuit of power and knowledge. People ascended to the heavens and returned, walking amongst mortals. Great Buddhists, Evil Demons, Heavenly Celestials, Unfathomable Sages, Riders of Grand Majestic Beasts, Beloved Beings of Nature. Countless kinds of beings rose and fell. Countless kinds of method to ascend were known but a sudden change in the world changed that. Pandemonium spread throughout the world and countless grand races and even grander sects and organizations fell. The huge surge had come to an end as each race went to one place or another to hide, higher beings ran to the higher realms to hide from the destruction of the lower realm. Countless deaths in all races happened and many are said to have been pushed to extinction. Today, the world has regressed to what can be called a mediocre shadow of what was once a massive power that ruled the world. The races have each slowly crawled out of their holes and slowly spread their numbers once more, rediscovering what was once lost. New sects were born, clans spread, nations rise and war once more appeared. Still the catastrophe had not only drastically changed the world but the energy of nature. Where once all kinds of power filled the air all over the massive planet no longer did this power appear. Instead the grand energies seemed as if something had snuffed a huge amount of it, now the areas were each energy appeared each possessed different kinds of energy. One region could simply have Qi, another could have Qi where each area within a region had specific element to it, there was mana which permeated the air in other regions, Spiritual force in others, infernal energy in another and so each massive region slowly claimed their own resource and their growth slowly diverted only towards these energies. Only there was one type of being that could survive and grow in each and every kind. The most mysterious which were all called Riders. Beings who were one with their mounts born for each other and cultivated together.
