《Mega Cringe: Dab》Chapter 2.9 - Dab Filler

After hours of Dab training Terin became sweaty and tired. The difference in strength from before was apparent. Absorbing the Dab Spirit gave him a large amount of power, but it was still not on the level as it was when he fought again Marculius in the Deep Fried dimension. It was regrettable but he wouldn’t worry. For now it was time to have a shower. He searched the top floor but there was no bathroom. Checking downstairs didn’t help either. There wasn’t even a kitchen. In the first place he had no change of clothes so he would end up smelling anyway. Terin wasn’t bothered by what other people will think of him but the stench was so bad he himself couldn’t handle it. They were in a state of emergency, chance for an attack was high. Going around the sector in search for a shower was too risky. His duty was to follow and protect Arthur and he won’t accept another failure, smelling bad was trivial problem.
Terin walked over to Julian’s workshop. The usual scene of Julian operating on Copy unfolded again. She was positioned naked on the table in her ball shaped form. It resembled nothing like her. It just looked like a large metal ball. Terin could only tell it’s her from the scattered parts and clothing. Julian was excited to see Terin come here but as he got closer Julian’s enthusiasm waned.
“Uh, it’s dangerous in here, so you might want to stay outside to avoid getting hurt.”
It was obvious what he meant by that but Terin couldn’t blame him. He leaned on the wall at the entrance of the workshop and listened to Julian. The changes he made seemed extensive, or so Terin thought. He couldn’t understand anything Julian said. Asking him for a simpler explanation seemed like it would make him sad. As he was going on about the changes Copy cut in.

“Why would you do that? How is making me lighter going to do anything useful? This is a degrade not an upgrade!”
Terin carried Copy before and he could tell she was heavy. He guessed her weight was around 100kg. For his dab powered body that wasn’t a problem. Copy not knowing what changes Julian was making on her didn’t surprise him, but Julian knew Copy liked to fight, even if the armor is of the same strength, being lighter meant she could be thrown around easily.
“Well… The parts are really good and they were on a sale so I thought it’d be a shame to throw them away.”
Copy turned back into her usual form and grabbed Julian by the throat. Currently she looked like any other humanoid android. She was in a bad mood today but Terin didn’t think she would kill her ally over it so he didn’t make any move.
“Wait, there is also an advantage to this!” - Julian was panicked. As someone who works in a workshop he wasn’t used to having his life threatened. - ”You are now 40 kilograms lighter so you still have some weight! And the durability is the same! You were good at everything so I decided to specialise you more as an assassin! Terin can only be a frontliner and there is no need for both of you to be it!”
Copy wasn’t happy with the answer but she let go of Julian anyway. Before she lost all her weapons her weapon of choice were giant arms. She only used ranged weaponry to get close to the target or if the situation forced her to support from afar. Terin understood this and felt empathetic towards her. But it wasn’t the end of her melee encounters. What she lost in power she will make up with speed.

“Fine! But if I have to sacrifice myself for the sector then you are doing all the work, including the painting.”
“Oh, do I have to paint your… entire body?”
“I just said you are doing all the work? Didn’t you listen to me?”
Julian’s face reddened. Terin understood it. He made a mistake and was embarrassed. But it was also Copy’s fault for taking upgrades she had no idea about.
Seeing he wasn’t needed in the workshop he stepped outside for some fresh breath. Walkway leading from the outer fence to the mansion was gone. It was littered with sunflower seeds. Radojka was squatting on the fence eating them. Only a few hours passed, he couldn’t believe she could eat this much in that small time. She spotted him and offered him a paper bundle. - “Semechki?” - Terin refused it. She wasn’t bothered by it and just continued eating. The way she ate them showed him she was a legendary slav. She put 2 seeds in her mouth at the same time and instantly spat out the husks of both. The speed and technique was beyond amazing.
“My babushka has 5 cows. Sometimes I go help her clean the stable. It smells very bad, but you smell worse. What you want?”
“I wanted some fresh air, but now that I saw you I am curious why you are still here. We helped you deal with the Edgelord, our deal is done.”
“You saved my life, as a samurai I would serve under someone who saved my life to repay that debt. But that was part of our deal so I don’t owe you anything.”
The slavmurai was strong. Terin doubted her skills at first but she displayed an extraordinary ability. Her strength was equal to past Terin’s. He was glad they were going to get a new companion but his hopes were instantly crushed.
“But I have nowhere to go. I will stay and see if I like this place. What is the next job?”
“There is nothing to do. For now we just sit back and wait for Arthur to come up with a plan.”
Slavurai grumbled something and took her Adibass bag. It was tiny, a bag of sunflower seeds barely fits in. But she pulled out a bottle of vodka and 2 shot glasses. They were waiting and one shot of vodka wouldn’t hurt. He accepted her offer and they drank together while waiting for work.

The Ruins of Magincia
They say all things end in time, but the exalted City of Magi would’ve begged to differ. Yet when an attempted coup goes wrong, the city finds itself brought to the very brink of destruction. In the wake of the calamity that left no survivors, the autonomous infrastructure still operating the ruined city seeks to restore what was lost. Luckily for it, the Mana-devoid Universe it awoke in holds an unexpected surprise: a planet full of sentient life forms. All capable—with a little help—to become the next generation of Magi. Back on Earth, Millie McArthur is a pregnant out-of-work mechanic struggling with the prospect of moving back in with her parents after leaving her unfaithful fiancé. That is until she finds herself just one of the hundreds that have been shanghaied by the callous artificial constructs still manning the ruins of Magincia. Now, she must struggle to learn magic, compete for resources, get good 'grades,' and fulfill the seemingly arbitrary requirements for her future job in this broken city. All while keeping herself, and her son, alive. Is the miracle of magic really enough to make up for all the pain? The Ruins of Magincia is a dark fantasy that's heavy on the drama (LitRPG aspects are very light). Chapter lengths can be anywhere from 7k-12k and there's no current release schedule as I'm focusing on wrapping up volume one.

Maybe she's right but what's the bit about 'await the bite' supposed to mean? Jon soon learns and his life changes forever. What can a young boy who's gained wolven-blood do? Will he be a monster or will he find salvation? Jon was bitten. ********************************************************************************** Welcome to the Northern Isles. My first story posted on here! I already have the outline of the first couple of books planned out and will be posting a new chapter every Tuesday and Friday. The story will be dark at times but I intend to keep things fairly light when I can. I'm aiming for a world that isn't full of sunshine and rainbows but isn't as bleak as it could be. Focusing on friendship, camaraderie, sh*t talking, and adventure.
