《Mega Cringe: Dab》Chapter 2.7 - Edgelord

With the Slavurai at the front and the Dab Master at the back they quickly left the forest. They were back in the fantasy city. There was no one around and the AB was in clear sight. It was too easy but no one would complain.
He could feel something change behind him. Before he got the chance to turn around he stopped. Something cold touched his neck and he froze. He didn’t dare make any rash moves.
“Nothing personal, kid.”
Terin recognized that line and instantly leaned backwards, blade flashing in front of his eyes as it missed him. The opponent didn’t stop his attack. He punched the leaning Terin sending him to the ground completely. Following the punch he took out a knife and stabbed him. Terin’s allies quickly realised a fight was going on and Copy pulled him out of the danger as he fell. The knife grazed him but there was no serious wounds. He stood up but quickly fell down again. His strength was fading. He knew what they were fighting.
Edgelords. No one knew who they were or where they came from. The only thing that was known about them is that they can teleport and they all hate the society. The one in front of them was using a scythe as a main weapon and a knife that would weaken anyone it touches. They were common weapons among Edgelords. He was in full black attire that was cut on many places. Bandage wrappings could be seen in the holes. His face was covered by a hood accompanied by a cloak. So far nothing about him was special. Terin was confident that even without him Copy and Radojka could defeat him. Copy stayed back to protect Terin while Radojka engaged him in a melee combat. Both weapons had the same reach so the battle was even. Terin could finally see the skill of the slavurai. She was fighting evenly with the Edgelord even with his advantage of the teleportation. Unfortunately there was no way for her to launch a counterattack, she could only defend. But she didn’t have to hold out for long. Copy was charging up a ranged attack. The Edgelord saw it and teleported to stop her. Copy canceled her charging and grabbed the scythe as he swung it down. She ripped the scythe out of his hands and kicked him. Sending him flying into one of the tree-buildings.

“Hahaha, that’s what you get for using a scythe as a weapon when you are that slow.”
The Edgelord stood up from the rubble.
“We live in a society…”
Copy fired a shot from her cannon interrupting his speech as she sent him flying once again.
“Man, you shouldn’t talk during a fight. Only leaves you open.”
The scythe disappeared from her hands. The blade was on her neck with the Edgelord behind her. He pulled the blade back cutting her head off.
“Same to you. But I must give you credit, you made me use more than 10% of my power.”
“You better destroy me here or you are going to regret it!”
Copy was trying to distract him enough for Radojka to attack him but it failed. He sensed the attack and teleported out of the day. Terin was still collapsed on the ground, his strength slowly coming back. The slavurai showed immense skill but she only had skill. She lacked any powers, and eventually she got tired and couldn’t keep up with the relentless offence anymore. But it was enough time for Terin to gather back his strength. He stood up and dabbed. He didn’t move at all, just froze in the dabbing pose.
“Huh, so you realised it’s hopeless to fight me and want to die doing what you love? I will respect that and let you enjoy it before I end you.”
A couple of minutes passed without anything happening. Everyone was just watching Terin seeing when it will end.
“Well I am bored. It’s time to end you, hope you enjoyed your last few minutes.”
Terin stopped his dab. He disappeared followed by the destruction of the ground underneath him and the sound of breaking the sound barrier. Terin reappeared in front of the Edgelord and sent him flying. Once again he disappeared and appeared behind the Edgelord in the air, sending him down to the ground. Eventually the Edgelord adjusted and dodged one hit by teleporting. But as he teleported Terin was already on the spot he appeared. It was impossible to fight him. So he kept dodging. His wounds were already great, he needed to retreat.

“This isn’t over!”
He said his final words and teleported somewhere out of sight.
Using the “Ultimate Dab” came at a price. With the fight over Terin stopped. He exhausted all his strength. He could only hope that once he fainted Copy and Radojka could pull themselves together and escape together. He took one last look at the nature city and the castle in the middle before he collapsed.

Fragments from the Wildlands
“Your first death is always the hardest.” Miguela was the third-born child of a well-off merchant family and knew from around the time she could speak that her life’s path was already decided. She was to become an Orator, as was Xandran tradition. However, Miguela had an affinity with the magikal arts and somehow found herself studying at the Academy. She did just enough to keep up with her studies but never found the motivation to apply herself and “reach her potential,” as her instructors often said. It was not that Miguela was uninterested in the arts. Rather, she knew her time at the Academy ultimately did not matter. Whenever Miguela returned home, she would become an Orator, and that would be that. Or so she believed until, one day, an opportunity appeared that would change her life. Miguela was offered the chance to join a research team tasked with a mission of the utmost importance to the future of the Five Kingdoms. She could not turn down the prospect of regaining control of her life and finally finding a purpose for herself. Of course, Miguela might soon discover that offers that appear too good to be true are usually fraught with lies. Welcome to Five Kingdoms of Cordizal! Question: What is the Five Kingdoms of Cordizal? I often get asked this type of question about my stories by friends, bloggers, and potential readers. The Five Kingdoms of Cordizal is a high-fantasy epic universe that is the setting for most of my stories. The foundation of the universe is its multicultural, multiracial setting with several sentient races attempting to carve their legacy and survive. The world is fully fleshed out and vibrant with a rich and mysterious history not based on Tolkien mythology. This brings me to magic. To me, magic is an essential part of the fantasy genre, so, of course, there is magic in the Five Kingdoms universe. However, one critical part of the Five Kingdoms universe is that magic is an abundant commodity that is a part of everyday life and not some plot device used to drive the story. In short, the Five Kingdoms universe is the setting of epic fantasy stories with deep characters and world-building. I try to tell as many different types of stories as possible in the universe, and hopefully, you can find something for you in it.
