《Mega Cringe: Dab》Chapter 2.5 - To Rollr

“Rollr? Isn’t that a place with the closed off community that chases off everyone? And didn’t it stop being popular?”
“Just because people stopped making memes about it, doesn’t mean the region is dead. Large regions will listen to EU to avoid damage. To those regions memes don’t mean anything. Most of them even hate memes. Since Marculius Zurcberius died I have taken over his position. I will be focusing on influencing everyone in HeadNovel to support our stance and fight against the EU. Your job will be to become either famous or infamous.”
Terin figured out Arthur’s plans. Him saying that Terin’s plans were too simple wasn’t far from truth but Terin was still offended slightly by it. He wanted to show that he could also think of good plans.
“I think I understand your plan. We’ll go in a place where the EU presence will be weaker therefore allowing us to wreak havoc without the fear of them catching us. The residents there will flee from us in terror and spread our name everywhere. Since we are already criminals it won’t affect our positions meaning there is only a positive effect.”
“Hmm. Yes, indeed. Looks like I’ll have to grade your intellect below Copy’s it seems.”
Copy was there listening and smiling while slightly rocking left and right. She was aware that they were making jokes on her expense but she didn’t care. First reason was because it was true. She was better at other things, making grand plans didn’t suit her. Nobody could be great at everything. Second reason was because she knew they didn’t mean anything bad with it. They were just teasing her hoping to provoke some kind of a reaction for entertainment. Therefore by ignoring them she was winning and that felt satisfying.
“What do you mean less than Copy? What’s wrong with it?”
“Well, you got part about EU right, so good job on that. Everything else is just idiotic. We are trying to get as much audience as possible. Terrorizing people might get us fame but nobody will want to listen to us. Not to mention, that is exactly what EU wants so they can destroy what little following we already have. No, we are going to get fame by making a small meme. Everybody loves seeing someone overreact about nonsense. Terin will have a job to cause it while Copy records it. Once that is done we upload it on TouTu:b:e and watch the video slowly spread across the internet.”

Something that Copy had knowledge about popped up. She could finally join the conversation.
“But those types of videos stopped being popular, I don’t think we’ll get much out of it.”
“And how am I supposed to cause someone to overreact to the point where it will be entertaining for other people to watch?”
“If we add “Dab Master” in the title of the video people will click it, you have fans and they’ll share it enough to become viral. And triggering someone should be easy. Just walk up to someone and say “Hey dude”. After they get violent and throw the first attack just throw a hard hit and start running until you find a safe place. After that’s done just return here. That’s about all the info you need. Now hurry up and finish the job.”
Terin couldn’t understand how saying those two words could cause any harm or offence to anyone. They sounded so innocent. But after traveling through so many different regions he learned that they all have different cultures. Maybe something like that is the worst crime you can cause in Rollr. He didn’t know nor did he like it. He was causing harm to a random bystander who never did anything to him. But he had his orders and he will follow them. It was for the sake of the entire world after all.
Copy, on the other hand, didn’t care at all about the objective. She used to be an assassin that would kill and destroy whatever she was told. This type of job wasn’t anything strange. But she was excited. She finally felt like a part of the team. Being all alone all the time didn’t bother her that much. But having company all the time was much more fun. It was almost a week since she joined but she still couldn’t stop smiling whenever she thought about it.
Mansions didn’t have dedicated AB transport rooms so they had to leave and go search for them in the sector. They didn’t have to travel far, there was one just outside the entrance. Its glass was shattered and it was overgrown with vines. The red color it once had faded away. But despite its condition it still worked.
They teleported and the environment before them changed. They were used to quick changes but the place they were teleported in was too strange. Behind them was a thick forest of spruce trees. Many sectors used this as a wall to hide the ugly looking dry lands. The sector itself was very strange. It felt like it came out of some fantasy book. The usual city highrise type of look was gone. Instead the buildings were carved inside giant trees. The pavements made out of rocks were covered by moss. Since they teleported into a fairly small sector the tower could be seen straight away. But it didn’t look like a tower, it looked like a castle. This was the first time they saw one of them. Even the sky itself was strange. Pink clouds floated accompanied by a brightly colored rainbow. Everything about it looked wonderful and happy. Even the people seemed overjoyed. But they couldn’t help but feel creeped out. It was too wonderful. No sector could have so many overjoyed people.

“Uhhh, I don’t like this place, let’s do the job and leave.”
Terin agreed with her. He didn’t have the will to explore this place. She pulled out her phone and started recording as Terin approached the first person he saw. It was about time to see how effective Arthur’s plan will be.
“Hey dude.”
“Excuse me? What did you just say to me?”
Terin was unsure on how to react. He was clear when he spoke to her there was no way for her to have misunderstood him. Maybe she had hearing problems. He thought of that and decided to repeat what he said slowly and louder. The expression on the person’s face worsened. And they started yelling too.
“And now you are yelling at me? Typical white privileged cis male scum. Walking in here like you own the place. Well let me tell you something. You don’t own me! Here you are under my mercy, and I will teach you what happens to scum like you when you come here, but first let me educate you about your crimes. Unlike you white privileged male scum we don’t mindlessly kill people who we don’t like. But it’s to be expected from your type. First of all, how dare you call me a “dude”. How dare you misgender me like that? Do you know the type of damage you caused? Misgendering someone could lead to an act an murder, of course you white males don’t care about that so it’s pointless to talk about it. After all you came here and caused an act of violence by misgendering me the second you came in. You need to learn to respect people’s pronouns! But you white males can’t respect anything other than yourselves. Why am I even trying to educate you, it’s pointless!”
Terin was even more confused than before. Half of the words made no sense to him. How could saying “Hey dude” cause someone’s death? What is misgendering? What are pronouns? Why is she calling him a white male all the time? What does that have to do with anything? Was this the overreacting that Arthur talked about or was he just a giant asshole? He didn’t understand anything.
Terin wanted to know but he didn’t get the chance to because the other person threw a punch before he could ask. He was caught off guard and the fist connected with his face. But he felt nothing. There was no damage whatsoever. Angry crowd started forming around them. Soon enough they would be surrounded completely. Terin launched a counter attack and blew a hole in the person’s stomach. Some strange liquid flew out. It was too thick to be blood and it was gray colored. As it hit the floor it turned into multiple people. The wound also healed along with the ripped clothes. It was time to run.
They rushed out before the crowd surrounded them completely. The ones that managed to catch them while escaping had their hands ripped out but that only formed even more people. All of them were angry and out for blood. There was no chance to reach an AB transport, their only path was into the forest. The forest was thick and there was no way to avoid the needles. They poked causing discomfort but it wasn’t anything dangerous. They entered the forest stopping the mob that chased them. They kept running into the forest to lose sight of them. Copy who was leading the way got lost. She didn’t want to admit it so she pressed forward like she knew what she was doing.
The needles were starting to annoy Terin and by now he could guess that Copy got lost. He wanted to scold Copy but that wouldn’t achieve anything but get branches in his mouth. In the dark forest they finally spotted a source of light. Without any clear direction going towards it was as good of an option as any. The light source was located inside a clearing. In the middle of it a campfire was burning. Next to the flames was a strange looking person squatting on a piece of log while eating mayonez. They hoped the person was friendly enough to give them directions.
