《Mega Cringe: Dab》Chapter 16 - Deep Fried lol part 2 but this time he doesn’t die

Terin and Copy had no clue what was going on. Arthur closed the doors from the inside. Arthur knocked on the door and then kicked them. The doors came off the hinges and were sent flying. The experience from last time was very different. The infernal heat was nowhere to be found and he could look without being blinded by everything. Everything was still grainy. It looked like a really low resolution picture and there was a shade of brown in every colour. The three of them still looked normal but in this place they stood out too much. They left the building. Terin could still heard the noise of distorted bass-boosted music everywhere. Some noises were just pure bass, but this time they didn’t bother him at all. He could see people all around him. It looked like a normal sector in a normal region. Most people blended in with the grainy environment but there were some that still looked somewhat normal. The most surprising thing were that some people didn’t have a head but instead a crying laughter emoji face. Terin saw them before but he was struggling for his life and couldn’t get a good look. Seeing one now made it look very strange yet it somehow felt normal. While Terin was studying the environment a kid approached them.
“Hey Mister! Can I ask you a question?”
“You just did.” - Arthur replied to his question. As soon as the answer came distorted bass noise could be heard. The kid was annoyed but didn’t give up.
“Can I ask you 2 questions?”
“You just did.” - Another louder distorted bass noise could be heard. The kid was getting angry at this point but tried to calm down. Feeling smart he asked another.
“Can I ask you 4 questions?”
“You just did.” - Another even louder distorted bass noise happened. This broke the straw and the kid wasn’t even trying to hide his anger and started yelling at Arthur.
“When?!”
“Now.” - The distorted bass so strong Terin could feel his entire body shake. Everyone was looking in their direction. Some were clapping and congratulating Arthur while others were just laughing at the kid. The kid himself lost his head. It was a crying laughing emoji. As soon as it became that it went away from them like he never even wanted something from them. Arthur was feeling very smug.
“Damn, 4 combo on verbal. I don’t remember the last time this happened. That’s why I always say kids are not meant for this dimension.”

“Still couldn’t you go easy on him? It’s just a kid and you turned him into that abomination. All he wanted is to ask you a question.”
“I see. You don’t understand anything. The main currency here is something we named “pranks”. He tried to pull of a verbal prank on me, which is the type that gets the most out of another person. He saw that we weren’t fried up like everyone else and thought it was easy money. Since it was a kid it probably tried to pull something like “Do your parents know if you are gay?” and the only way to beat that is if you are gay. So I just countered his attack. And I didn’t turn him into an abomination. Emoji faces just take control over you but you are still aware of everything. They control you and do whatever the face is. Everyone here is a crying laughing emoji which means they control you to do the things you find most fun. He is about to have the time of his life now. The only thing emoji faces can’t do is prank each other and people love doing that so that’s why everyone isn’t an emoji face. Enough exposition now. We have to find Marc as fast as possible.”
The crowd around them dispersed and they started moving. After walking for a couple of minutes Terin noticed that only entertainment stores are operational. And entire streets were filled with them along with a few abandoned buildings. The roads also weren’t made of asphalt but just sand. It was impossible to live here. Arthur stopped them near the building on the corner. It looked abandoned but there was a giant toad the size of a human next to the door.
“Whatever you do, don’t mention that sea toads are actually fish.”
Neither Copy nor Terin knew that but they still didn’t understand why he would mention that. They approached the giant toad.
“Despa the Sea Toad, at your service. How may I help you.”
“Despa, it’s Arthur. You know me!”
“Hmm…. Arthur? I suppose I do know you. Very well. Head inside with your companions. I do hope you won’t cause a ruckus.”
Terin and Copy didn’t understand anything but they quietly followed Arthur inside. Inside loud rap music was being played but the distorted bass was so loud that it made it impossible to understand anything. The room was filled with smoke to the point where it was near impossible to breathe. In the centre of the room was a glass table surrounded by a couch and an armchair. On the couch there was a person in a very thick long coat. The long coat was covered with thick fur inside which made no sense to wear in a hot temperature like this, but the person didn’t seem to mind. The person next to him wasn’t much different. He had a winter jacket on him. Next to them on the armchair there was something that looked like a human shaped green frog. It’s skin made it look like it was made from cotton. It was wearing a bathrobe. They weren’t too surprised at the sight of their new guests. The man in the thick long coat asked the human frog.

“Ayo Bermit, who these fams?”
“No clue Dragon. Who y'all are? And why the hell you bring a thot here?”
Since these were Arthur’s acquaintances Terin and Copy decided to remain silent and let Arthur do all the talking.
“Friends of Thot Patrol, we helped you Bs at Twotch. Killed that Thot Leviathan. And also this is a machine so it doesn’t count.”
“Oh shit my B, shoulda said so sooner. Let’s bool. Call Prez to join us fam.”
Something that Terin never thought would happen in the Deep Fried dimension happened. He could hear normal rap music with no bass distortion coming from behind the doors. It kept getting louder and louder. The door opened and the music turned into the pure bass sound. It was so strong it blew Terin away. The person that came in gave off immense power. He looked human but his skin was orange and he had blonde hair. And like everyone else he was also wearing a coat, and his was the thickest. Terin wasn’t sure if he was human or not.
“Arthur! Wtf you doin’ b? Long time no see! Let’s bool.”
“Hey Prez. I am busy so I can’t, I am hunting Marculius but we don’t know where he is, can you help us?”
“It’s no problem. All we gots to do is summon our lord ‘n’ savior. Give me a second.”
Prez picked up his phone and pressed a few buttons. It seemed like he is sending a message. Couple of seconds passed and Terin felt something strange was happening. Strong distorted bass exploded next to him. It messed up both his vision and earring. Once it stopped a person was standing next to him. He was at least 2 meters tall and wore a white asian conical hat that covered his face. He wore a thin white shirt and a long white skirt made out of paper talismans. Just with 1 look at this man Terin knew that no matter how long he trained he would never be able to beat it. Challenging him was equal to death. He was arrogant but not stupid. The man spoke in a deep voice that echoed throughout the entire room. It brought chills just listening to it.
“Mortals, why have you called me?”
Everyone was still acting casually and no one was bothering to give any respect to the person that just arrived. Prez was the one to speak to him first.
“Lord Thugger, these two destroyed the Thot Leviathan. And require your help.”
“Impressive. I will grant you a wish each. Wait. You.” - he pointed at Terin. - I sense a deep curse within you. One that hasn’t appeared in millenia. Are you the Dab Master?”
“Yes, Lord Thugger.”
“I shall cleanse it for you.” - Lord Thugger ripped apart one of his talismans and rolled it up. He pulled out a lighter from his pocket and gave it to Terin. - “Smoke this.”
Arthur saw the scene and started laughing. Terin ignored him and took a puff. He lost his conscience and collapsed. But he woke up before he hit the ground so he stopped himself. Once he woke up he forgot about everything he did since he went into Dab Overload. But somehow he knew why and what they are doing here so nothing surprised him.
“One wish completed.”
“Ayo Lord Thugger, shouldn’t you let them choose their own wishes?”
“They are not high enough to know what they wish for. This is for the best. Your second wish is to know where Marculius Zurcerberius is?”
“Yes, we need to find him as soon as possible!”
“See? They do not know what they want. I will instead teleport you to him. But only you two. Arthur is staying with us.”
“What? Why are you taking him?
“Chill. He did not bool with us for a while.”
Terin wanted to protest more but Lord Thugger already lit up another rolled up talisman. He puffed smoke on Terin and Copy and they disappeared with the sound of everyone cheering that Arthur is staying.

Rise of an Undead in a Fantasy World
Have you ever wondered what would happen if an undead being that doesn't know what it is like to be alive got free will? What would that undead creature do? How would they think? How would they view the world around them? Would they see life as futile and conquer the world, making it a lifeless danger zone to all living beings? Well, none of that matters, because that's not happening. Our main character is your average gamer from the modern world, yada yada yada... gets transported to a fantasy world through obscure means, blah blah blah... you know how this works. What separates him from the masses, however, are his views on ethics, and world politics. ... Oh, and the fact that he doesn't need to breathe. Message From Author! Accept?: Yes No This is only my second novel, so keep that in mind. I will try to keep the quality of the story to an acceptable level. This means something that I, myself would read. The quantity, however, may put some people off. Adding onto the whole "villainous lead" thing, I will make sure to have the character develop into that perfect little villain over time, instead of starting him out as a bloodthirsty murder-hobo. Of course, there will still be a lot of murdering and he may be a hobo for some of it, but it will mostly not be out of malice in the very early chapters. Last but not least, I have decided there will not be a defined release schedule for this, as I have lost interest in forcing myself to upload x amount of times a week. I will upload whenever I get a good idea, and take my time. That is, if I even feel like writing in the first place. Instead of taking breaks from this novel to do my own thing, I will take breaks from my daily life to post on here. Also, I'm lazy. Thanks for reading, and if you're alright with everything above, feel free to give it a read, and without further ado, have a good one! - Your Author P.S.: I will have little to no romance in the story, as I can't bring myself to writing it, so you don't have to worry about harems.

Binary of Life and Death
Monsters, gold, chaos, glory, adventure, what more could attract two of the greatest players of all time to Sugarea, the most popular MMORPG of its time. But everyone makes errors, and unfortunate for these two brilliant players, they have made the grave mistake of not actually sleeping like normal humans and missed out on the very moment the new Dark Legion update would take effect. Or did they? They wake in what seems familiar yet not, but they soon realize their predicament. They are inside their game avatar's bodies! A half-Demon and a Dragonoid are now struggling with more than just power, these two men have to find their new purpose and calling in a completely different world. Will they concur it like ordinary land or will they enlighten the planet into equality? Do figures pull strings in the dark or is everything open to the public eye? Nothing is certain except the unknown, and nothing is ever as it seems... This is an Isekai story, as such, some parts may sound either cliché or similar to others, but I assure you, I tried to prevent that. To make it known, I took quite a lot of inspiration from the light novel/anime Overlord, but that doesn't mean it's a direct rip-off of it. You'll find there to be quite the amount of differences. Just a little heads up as well, you should expect irregular uploads, as it takes me a long time to write each chapter. I am currently trying for once every other week on Sundays around 10:00 A.M. Chapters are usually 7k words and up, with the longest (chapter 3) being 10.3k words. So, if you like to sit down and read a long chapter every two weeks at 10:00 A.M. EST on Sundays, then you can waste your time here! Small disclaimer: Profanity is far and few between, and mostly used by side characters, rarely the main character. When something with gore happens, I describe to the best of my ability, which will only get better the longer I write this... :) Small cuts between perspectives happen, and can hide what some characters do, which will be revealed in future chapters, I'm not that lazy... all the time... There are some parts that are long blocks of text, most, if not all, of them, are characters talking, but I try not to info dump. I know one of the tags says "Psychological", and for the most part, it is, but it's not as prominent as other stories, instead, it's more hidden and scattered, but I did try to make the pieces I did reveal all fit together. Cover art is bound to be changed when I have a good picture to use, so the Yin-Yang is a placeholder for now unless yall wanna gimme something to use *wink wink nudge nudge*. So yeah, please give it a try, as I have nothing better to do with my life, and I am banking solely off of a career in literature and am hoping that I can create a story that can actually be called something more than a child's imagination running wild. The eventual and inevitable end to the story won't be for a long while, at least till chapter 40 or so. I have thought long and hard about the message and themes at play, so I hope you, the reader (who has some amazing hair btw), can enjoy and partake on this adventure with me into my dark empty pit of an imagination.

Dreamland
Dolores is a lucky girl with a high-level avatar in a very popular game. She did not level it up; she got it through some fortunate circumstances. She is not interested in fighting and levelling; all she wants is to have some fun and follow her own fantasies. If only there would not be all those idiots who intend to kill her, capture her, or simply use her. And those flaws in the game! Wait, what? Those pesky game characters now appear in the real world? And they can do magic? How did this happen? Adding to her troubles, her crush does not even look at her. As Dolores tries only to survive and hide between 'normal' people, she encounters stranger and stranger things that force her hand and, in the end, she has the answers to a lot of questions. It is a slow-developing story. I had a lot of fun writing it and hope to share it with you, dear reader if you also enjoy it. On the other hand, putting it in an acceptable form requires much work and energy. I intend to bring it to its end and not let it unfinished. I hate it when I encounter unfinished stories, so I understand the feeling. This is not a classical isekai story. There is travel between the two worlds, and the game world seems to be so very real... well, this is one plot of the story. This is not an MMORP game story. Part of the action happens inside a game world, but it is treated as a real world. Updates on a weekly basis, at least Monday and Friday, with additional bonus chapters as time and energy allow. Cover art: White Flower as A Dark Fairy by Darkrealmsmaiden Yolanda gracefully allowed me to use her dark fairy as cover. There are many more beautiful works of art to be discovered at her site: https://www.deviantart.com/darkrealmsmaiden Additional Grammar Trigger Warning: As a non-native speaker, I do my best. Unfortunately, this is not enough for people with a low tolerance for warped sentences and... they may want to skip the story :( Well, you have been warned :) I appreciate it when a reader points out a sentence that needs rework. That may spare a follow-up reader some pain and helps me understand where my English grammar problems are. * We thought we made the best game in Earth's history We thought we made the best interfaces ever seen We thought we made it - lifelike But it far exceeded our expectations. Dolores, I hope you're happy now. I hope you're alive now...
