《Mega Cringe: Dab》Chapter 9 - Ocean Cole
Advertisement
Ocean Cole noticed them approaching, he got off stage and started going towards them while still holding the microphone. He looked very satisfied and like his plan couldn’t have gone better.
“Terin, the famous Dab Master, to what do we owe this pleasure?” - few cheers from Terin fans could be heard from the public but most of them were just confused at who he was and why was he talking to Ocean Cole. They were even more confused when they saw Terin say something to Ocean Cole that they couldn’t hear.
“I came here to kill you. And don’t think that I will spare you just because there are so many children around.”
Ocean Cole put away his microphone and started talking directly to Terin.
“You will spare me. And not because of the children but because you can’t beat me. You attack me and I call CPR-S bot and trust me, you have no chance against that thing.”
“Copy, can he do that?”
“Well normally you wouldn’t be able to manually control it but TouTu:b:e seems to really like him and support him in everything he does so he most likely could do it.”
Terin realised that he couldn’t win in a direct confrontation against both Ocean Cole and an indestructible robot that has immense firepower. He decided to just back off. If Ocean Cole decided to attack them while they are going back then he would be in range and Terin was confident that him and Copy could kill him before CPR-S arrives. If that didn’t happen then he would send Copy to infiltrate the tower and kill him herself. He was sure that she would be able to sneak in even if they were on max alert.
“Don’t think you two are getting away from trying to make an attempt on my life. You guys move any more and I am summoning CPR-S instantly.”
Terin wasn’t very good with planning and this was another time that his plans failed.
“What do you want then?”
“Contrary to popular opinion I am not a bad guy. My brother was an asshole in your sector and you killed him. Happens a lot of times in HeadNovel. You thought I might attack you so you came to attack me hoping I’d be off-guard. I’d do the same. You reap what you sow. My brother fucked up and he got punished for it, I don’t blame you.
“I am in a hurry.”
“No need to be in such a rush. Because you tried to attack me you will give me something in return. We’ll play a small game, you win I duel you. I win, you leave my sector and never come back. In any case you give me million of views.”
“Let me think about it.”
“Hahahaha, like you have any options!”
Ocean Cole flicked his fingers and the giant monitor instantly crashed into the ground. As quickly as it fell down it got back up. There were no traces that it ever fell down but Terin, Copy and Ocean Cole were gone.
The screen flashed and inside of it were Ocean Cole, Terin and Copy. They were inside of a game show. All the colours inside of it was shades of blue, except for the outfits. Copy realised that Terin won’t know what was happening and filled him in.
“We are inside his game, we can’t hurt him so just play along.”
Terin just nodded. Ocean Cole grabbed a microphone and get up on the podium.

“Welcome to another episode of “Can you be a popular TouTu:b:er??? This time we have a popular person from HeadNovel. His name is Terin, known across the internet as the Dab Master. Can he, as someone from HeadNovel, pass in TouTu:b:e? And with him is a former bot that worked in TouTu:b:e. Will AIs be the next famous TouTu:b:er? Let’s find out on today’s show!”
The audience cheered. A monitor slid down behind Ocean Cole. On it there were 2 lines. Above one line was Terin’s name and on the other Ocean Cole’s.
“First off let’s see how many likes they can pick up. If they can beat me here I will have to defend my spot of being the king of TouTu:b:e! Everyone start liking!”
The bars started to follow up. Ocean Cole’s bar was filling up quickly but Terin’s wasn’t lagging behind at all. It was expected. Terin was famous across the internet as Dab Master, having a few hundreds of thousands of fans was to be expected. But as Ocean Cole’s bar hit million so did Terin’s. The host was starting to worry that maybe he would even be on the losing side. But he was saved. Terin’s bar stopped at 3 million while his continued to go up to 10 million. All the fans started clapping outside. Seeing their idol hit 10 million they felt proud.
“Well well well, looks like I am still the king. But our contestants shouldn’t feel too bad, after all they got 3 million. Amazing number for any novice. But everyone knows you can’t be a TouTu:b:er just based on your likes! Let’s move on to the next segment to see if they got what it takes to succeed!”
The area changed and now there were two judge tables. One table had 2 girls and 1 guy and the other had 2 guys and 1 girl.
“Welcome to our first segment of the show! “Smash or Pass”! If the majority of the judges votes “Smash” then our contestants win, if the majority votes “Pass” then they lose. If one of them wins they get a point and if during this entire game they get 4 points then they win and I will help them set-up their very own TouTu:b:e sector. But! If they lose, into the dumpster they go!”
The first to be judged was Terin.
“Even if I could ignore his terrible style of fashion, and pretend like that torn-up outfit is from a recent fight I can’t ignore the fact that he spent his entire life practicing to dab properly. Pass.”
Terin’s face remained calm, but he couldn’t help but clench his fists. The game show was being streamed live and the chat was exploding hating on Ocean Cole and the judge. Some of them were hardcore Terin fans while others were just hating because it was Ocean Cole.
“Girls, you don’t know what you are talking about. Just look at that body! Whatever he wears won’t matter in bed when he holds you with that strong body of his. Definitely a smash!”
“I mean he looks kinda hot but what’s up with that torn-up outfit. Does he think he looks cool or something? Pass.”
“Oof, 2 pass to 1 smash. Looks like Terin lost this one. Let’s see if his partner will fare any better!”
It was Copy’s turn to be judged. First judge gave his answer without any hesitation.
“Pass as well. Maybe in 10 years when she grows up.”

Copy was unhappy with her treatment so she decided to protest it - “Wait, what do you mean when I grow up? I am 19 years old, as disgusting as this is I demand to be judged properly!”
“She said she is legal so that means we are fine to judge her properly. Obviously a smash.” - as the second judge said that all other judges gave him a look of disgust. - “What? She said she was legal.”
Boos could be heard coming from outside. Meanwhile the people on the chat were hidden behind a screen so they dropped some disgusting comments and supported the second judge. Occasionally there was a comment shunning everyone else and saying how immature they are.
“Just shut up man. She looks 16 at best, you are disgusting. Ignoring this pedophile I agree with the other judge. Pass.”
Copy was sad that she lost but at the same time she felt happy that she didn’t have to suffer through that objectification. Thankfully for her she couldn’t see the online chat.
“Looks like our contestants failed! Zero points for them! But there will be other chances to make it up. Let’s move on onto our next segment!”
The stage changed once again and now there was only 1 judge table left. 1 judge from each of the previous tables stayed and the rest left.
“Next segment is “TouTu:b:e apologies. Everyone makes mistakes, it’s important to know how to apologise. Let’s see what’s the best apology you can come up with. First up was Terin.”
“I’d name the video “I am sorry” and I would say “I am so sorry, I won’t do it again.” I believe that would be enough.”
“Terrible.”
“At least try.”
The fans online tried to defend Terin but even they knew that apology wouldn’t work on TouTu:b:e. Some didn’t care that it was truly a bad apology and continued throwing insults at Ocean Cole saying how all of this is staged.
“Oof, looks like the judges weren’t happy with that one, maybe his partner would be able to save this one?”
“I’d name the video “So Sorry” and my apology would go something like this “Dear Internet, Where do I begin... Let's start with this -I'm sorry. This is a first for me. I've never faced criticism like this before, because I've never made a mistake like this before. I'm surrounded by good people and believe I make good decisions, but I'm still a human being. I can be wrong. I didn't do it for views. I get views. I did it because I thought I could make a positive ripple on the internet, not cause a monsoon of negativity. That's never the intention. I intended to raise awareness. I was misguided by shock and awe, as portrayed in the video. I still am. I do this sh*t every day. I've made a 15 minute TV show EVERY SINGLE DAY for the past 460+ days. One may understand that it's easy to get caught up in the moment without fully weighing the possible ramifications. I'm often reminded of how big of a reach I truly have & with great power comes great responsibility... for the first time in my life I'm regretful to say I handled that power incorrectly. It won't happen again. I love everyone. I believe in people. I'm out here. Peace #Copies4Life.”
“Beautiful.”
“You aren’t a human but this apology was perfect.”
Both the chat and the audience outside exploded. They were all cheering “Copies4Life”. Even Ocean Cole couldn’t make this seem like a bad apology and had to accept it and give them a point.
“Ladies and gentleman looks like Copy wins this one with her heartfelt apology. 1 point to Terin and Copy. With 3 more they can win this game. Let’s see if they are up for the task!”
This time the stage didn’t change. Only the letters on the monitor changed. They now said “Clickbait Challenge”.
“Welcome to everyone’s favourite segment, “Clickbait Challenge”. Can our guests make a title that will make all of us want to click on that video! Let’s start of with Terin.”
Terin had no clue what clickbait was or how it was done.
“What exactly is clickbait?”
The judges took what he said as his title and not a question.
“I’d click on it if I was curious about clickbait.”
“Yeah, sounds more like an educational video rather than a video you try to clickbait people.”
Once again the chat was helpless. Terin was truly too uneducated when it came to anything about TouTu:b:e. They wanted to cry. Luckily he had Copy with him so all his fans placed their trust in her.
“Terin once again failing! He really isn’t suited for TouTu:b:e it seems! But we all started without knowing the ropes so no need to feel too bad! Let’s see if his partner can get him out of this trouble again!”
Copy was laughing and it seems like she already knew what she would say.
“My title would be something like “BREATHING AT 3 AM!! SATAN CAME AND ASKED ME TO STOP POLITELY!!! (LIT WILD)”
“Acceptable.”
“It would be alright if you added “(not clickbait)” with just this I don’t feel like clicking”
Once again the chat exploded. It was filled with “#Copies4Life”. Copy kept getting more and more fans. They thought they were saved. The judges weren’t completely on board but this must have been a passable grade!
“Looks like Copy couldn’t save the situation this time! Unfortunately you guys are still at 1 point. We have 1 more game left but luckily for you you can win 3 points in it and still win!”
Boos could be heard outside. Ocean Cole knew that this title was good enough to pass but he couldn’t let them. The dislikes on the stream rose high up. Thankfully he had an army of mindless fans who supported him in anything so the like to dislike ratio was still highly positive.
The stage changed once again and a clearing was made in the middle of the stage. Ocean Cole invited them to come to the center. Unable to resist they stood in the center.
“Our time together is coming to an end soon! It’s time to see if our friends can become TouTu:b:ers or not! “What you got?” is the last part! What skills do our guests have? Will it be something that will blow everyone’s minds off or will they end up being thrown in the dumpster?”
Ocean Cole approached Copy and asked her first.
“So, what’s your specialty Mrs. AI?”
“I am good at killing people and…”
“And…?”
“Oh, people usually stop me at the “and” part so I just say it to sound like I am good at other stuff, I don’t actually got any other skills.”
The chat didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. Some people insulted her while others tried to defend her. Most people were just thankful for her support so far so they didn’t say anything. Copy gained a lot of online fans on this day.
“Ah… Well we can’t really give you an opportunity to show off your skills so we’ll have to consider it as you not having any. Terin, I can already guess what your specialty is but tell it to us yourself.”
“I am good at dabbing.”
“Well, let’s see the dab from the famous Dab Master, how amazing could it be?”
Terin got into his stance and did a dab. The judges didn’t show any reaction. They were unimpressed.
“It’s just a dab like any other. 0 points.”
“0 points. Everyone can do that.”
The audience outside cheered that their idol won. Even the online chat was taken over by Ocean Cole fans, but not for long. Soon a sea of “Dab” messages flooded the chat. Typing anything else would quickly disappear. This was Terin’s fans show of respect. He couldn’t see it but they didn’t care. They just wanted to support him.
“Looks like it’s time for the dumpster! Foreign TouTu:b:er and AI revolution in TouTu:b:e are still a distant dream it seems!”

The Puppy Project
"Give me my puppy!" I demanded, my eyes ablazed with fiery anger."Correction, it's not your puppy. It's our puppy," He smiled, but it was anything but sweet nor happy."You know what? Damn you! You're nothing but a cold, emotionless, and heartless bad boy!" I sneered, glaring at him fiercely. He chuckled at my words, taking a step closer to me. He slammed his hand unto the wall, trapping me, before leaning in close. "You got that right sweetheart but I think you got one thing wrong." He said, his eyes piercing straight into mine."And what is that?" I managed to asked, my throat seeming to get drier the more he looked at me."I'm neither one of those when I'm with you," and with those words, slammed his lips into mine.#1 in Strong-Female Character - 1/29/21#1 in Sarcasm - 2/4/21#2 in BadBoy - 2/13/21#3 in Teen Fiction - 2/13/21#1 in Mysterious - 3/4/21Copyrighted 2017.
