《Mega Cringe: Dab》Chapter 2 – Exposition lol

As Jeff let out his last breath Terin stood up. Out of respect he did a dab and held it there for 5 mins in complete silence. He wanted to keep it still for 24 hours but he had things to do for his friend’s sake. Since Terin was low on information he made it his first priority to collect it and he knew where to start.
This world was divided into different regions with different sectors, each sector owned by a different tower. Marculius Zurcberius was the owner of the region that Terin’s sector was in. As a region owner you are meant to protect the sectors and not attack them. The decision of an attack on his own sector made no sense. Terin could expose this attack but he had no proof and even if he did he would be quickly silenced. Attacks inside the region were mainly done by different sectors trying to occupy different towers. Occupying the tower meant occupying the sector. Terin’s sector was well developed and rich so the attacks on their towers were many, but rarely anyone managed to reach even the 5th floor of the main tower, let alone 99th. The guys that Terin killed were from the sector “F R E S H S T O L E N M E M E S”. Those guys would usually try to sneak in and steal a few memes in an effort to expand their sector that way, they never launched a full blown attack focused on occupying a tower. At that moment Terin was focused on cleaning up that he never thought of why they got so far or why they were so bold. So the first thing he decided to do was attack their tower in order to get more information.
Walking back in his office he sat inside the Address Bar Transport and typed in the URL to the sector of “F R E S H S T O L E N M E M E S”. Arriving there he noticed a big difference between this sector and his own. The status wasn’t poor by any means but there was nothing original in there. Each sector consisted of residential buildings, commercial buildings and buildings for entertainment. Terin’s sector and this sector were focused on entertainment. The entertainment buildings here were all just copies of other more developed sectors. It was all bundled up with different styles making the sector look very ugly.. It was obvious now that this sector only stole memes from other places and used it to improve their own. The reason people prefer these sectors compared to originals was because these sectors were easy to find and therefore easier to get a residential building. Although there were many sectors who used this method of stealing from others and improving themselves it was still disgusting to see if you are from a sector that produced OC. But he wasn’t here to be a tourist, he had a job he needed to complete.

Heading towards the tower he didn’t notice anything strange. The sector didn’t appear any richer or bigger than from what the monthly reports showed. In such a small place he quickly arrived to the tower. There he saw 2 guards sitting in front of an entrance. Terin’s goal was gathering information and not taking revenge for an invasion. He approached them without any ill intent.
“Hello, please stop right there.” – the guards were polite – “Would you mind stating the reason for why you are here?”
“My sector was invaded so I came here to talk with your boss”
“I see, that’s unfortunate, we’ll inform the boss that you arrived, but we have no power here so if he declines to see you there is nothing we can do, I hope you understand. We will need your name and the name of your sector.”
“Terin from Skrub11 sector.”
As soon as they heard the name the guards were shocked. Skrub11 was one of the strongest sectors in existence. Even across all regions it stood above as the best. It wasn’t big but the strength was unparalleled. There were rumours that even the region master fought against them and every time they fell they rose up stronger than before. They knew that launching an invasion against them was a suicide and that Terin here could slaughter the entire sector here if he wanted to. Panicked they rushed to the boss to inform them about his arrival. Shortly after the guard went up he also came down.
“Sorry for the wait, the boss said he’ll see you, please follow me.”
The design was different but every tower was built the same. The verticality was the key feature for them, therefore it was important to have an elevator leading to the top floor of the boss’ office. Of course if you were invading the tower the elevators would get locked out and you would have to climb it yourself. This tower was only 12 floors high so climbing it on foot wouldn’t be a problem but guests would have to take the elevator anyway. A lot of business secrets were being held in towers that’s why it wasn’t allowed. Being caught in the tower without a host meant death sentence. Even though Terin could easily defeat the entire tower and he had casus belli he still followed the rules.
Entering the elevator they quickly climbed up to the 12th floor and the doors opened and in front of him was a hallway and infront a set of double doors.
“Please go ahead. The boss is waiting for you in the office. I have to get back to my post.” - the guard hurriedly explained and ran back into the elevator. He didn’t know what will happen once Terin enters the office but he wanted to be as far away as possible.

As he entered the room he was met with a fat and greasy man in a business suit that was too small for him, sitting behind a desk on a chair that was screaming for help.
“I am sorry, I bought this chair thinking it’d be funny but it’s pretty annoying by now. It keeps screaming whenever someone enters and I don’t know how to shut it off. Please bear with it for a while.” - he explained as he was looking around the chair for the off button. - “should turn off any second now anyway.”
After a couple seconds the chair did indeed turn off and peace and quiet was restored. - “Name is Frogg, how may I help you Mr. Terin?”
“A couple of your employees invaded our tower and managed to reach the 99th floor, I am just curious how you did it.”
“Is it that surprising that we are so strong?”
“You are aware of my strength and how large it is compared to yours. Don’t act smug. You have no power here.”
Realising that things could get ugly he decided not to provoke him any further and be serious. - “Relax man, just making a small meme. Marculius Zurcberius came to meet me the other day. He said he had a way for our boys to climb up high up the tower and all he wanted was a small favour in the future. Seeing how cheap the deal was we took it. He never said what he would do, or how they’ll climb it. The only people that knew what he did were the people that invaded you and knowing you they are probably at the base of your tower turned into pulp.”
“As you can see cooperation can be beneficial. You seem like the type who would know about the Deep Fried dimension. Tell me more about it.”
Terin was very calm but Frogg’s instincts were telling him that one wrong move and it would end in his painful death. He decided not to mess around and tell him what he wants.
“Imagine the world we live in right now is a beautiful serene mountain. Views of peaceful and beautiful forest as far as the eye can see. A place where there is nothing better, a paradise basically. That’s what this dimension is. Now imagine a garbage dump inside a sewer filled with homeless people and corpses everywhere. A place where just looking at it makes you want to throw up let alone being near it or smelling it. That’s Deep Fried dimension. It’s hell. Luckily for you, I know the entrance to it and it’s pretty close. Once you exit the tower just go straight left and you will encounter a burger joint named “Bored Burgers” once you are in ask for a guy named Bob, tell him I sent you. He will lead you to the Deep Fried dimension.”
“Thank you for your cooperation.” - Terin replied in an almost robotic voice - ”As a gratitude for your services we will consider not sending a retaliation squad here. I’ll be taking my leave now."
The guard took the stairs down and left the elevator open for Terin so he can leave once the meeting is done. They saw the elevator come down and moved out of the way to let him pass.
Terin followed the instructions he got and after a short walk he saw the burger joint he was looking for. Glowing letters spelling “Bored Burgers” next to the logo of a burger with eyes on it. The expression didn’t betray its name. Inside was just like any other burger joint. Just a bunch of people slapping burger patties on the grill. He went up to the server. It was surprising what he saw. The person in front of him wasn’t human. It wasn’t strange that he wasn’t human what was strange was his grotesque appearance in a place where they serve food. His skin was yellow and his arms and legs were extremely thin compared to his large torso. The neck was so short that it seemed like it didn’t even exist. Luckily he wasn’t there to eat food otherwise he’d be sick.
“The boss of this sector sent me. I am looking for Bob.”
“Boss sent you huh? I am Bob, follow me I’ll open the passage for you.”
After leading him in back they stopped in front of a freezer.
“Go in the freezer, and you’ll be transported to the Deep Fried dimension.”
Going into the freezer to get to the place called Deep Fried made no sense to him but what he heard about it told him that the entire place made no sense so it’s no surprise that rules about that place made no sense either. There was no way for them to trap him there so he went in without worry.
“I’ll lock you inside and initiate the transport, don’t start breaking out.”
