CHAPTER 7
Prymers Chaos
It was 6:45 pm. The orange-yellow colours of the sunset sky were quickly shifting to shades of dark-blue as a black armoured-SUV vehicle sped through the highways of Trinix towards the downtown metropolis region.
“Isn’t it a bit of an overkill to bring 3 heavily armed soldiers just for a scene investigation?” Galen asked Max while the SUV entered downtown.
Max refrained from answering. He kept staring at the skyscrapers outside his car-window speeding quickly past them.
“Max?...” Galen asked again. Max closed his eyes for a few seconds and took a deep breath before turning to look at Galen.
“Under normal circumstances, this would normally be as you stated, an ‘overkill’ but as the current circumstances are, I fear that we are less than adequate. We would need at least fifteen to twenty more soldiers. We may not be dealing with normal men anymore,” He explained.
“We are here,” spoke the soldier who drove the SUV. The SUV parked in front of the police precinct where Galen was taken the previous night. Without waiting further, Max quickly opened the door and stepped out of the SUV and rushed towards the entrance of the precinct while Galen followed behind him. They arrived at the reception counter of the precinct, Max showed his DBI badge.
“I’m here to speak with Officer Chloe Guthman regarding a recent incident,” He went straight to the point. The receptionist reached for the dial-up phone and entered some numbers and waited while a beep sound was heard on the other side of the call. After a few beeps, a female voice picked on the other side.
“Miss Guthman, the DBI would like to speak to you,” The receptionist spoke.
“Yes, they are here,” She continued as her gaze temporarily shifted to Max before shifting back to her computer screen.
“Yes, Alright,” She replied and hung up the call and returned the receiver back.
“Miss Chloe will be here shortly, feel free to sit anywhere while waiting for her” she gestured her hand at the nearby seats.
About a minute later, the door to the reception lobby opened and a blonde policewoman with a pony tail hairstyle walked out. Max immediately stood up followed by Galen behind him and they walked towards Chloe.
“Officer Chloe? My name is Max Hamelson, senior agent of the DBI, I would like to have a short moment of your time to ask for your recollection of a recent incident this morning,” Max spoke calmly. Chloe’s gaze shifted from Max to Galen and she immediately recognized him from the previous day. The almost naked man harassing an old bum in the street alley. When their gazes met, Galen felt a strange awkward feeling inside and he scratched the back of his head while looking away.
“Why is he with you?” Chloe asked Max as she pointed her finger casually at Galen.
“Oh, him? His case is a bit … special,” Max replied with a slight smile. Chloe’s gaze shifted from Max to Galen and eyed him suspiciously while Galen avoided eye contact and whistled a random tune while staring at random parts of the lobby.
Without further delay, they walked to the interrogation room. Chloe entered in first, followed by Max and then Galen. Chloe sat at the same chair facing the entrance where Galen sat that morning.
“Is he coming with you in the room?” Chloe asked Max again as she referred to Galen entering the room.
“He is part of my team working on this incident,” Max replied. Chloe’s eyes narrowed and shifted to look at Galen who stood in a corner, leaning against a wall, arms folded. She gave him the look of ‘how did you weasel your way out of that arrest and are now part of a DBI team?’ She could not believe this was the same man whom she had arrested less than 24 hours ago. Was this man an undercover agent? He certainly didn’t look the type.

“So, let’s get down to business…tell me what happened.” Max started the interrogation. Chloe sank into silence and looked down for a while.
She proceeded to explain how she had arrived at the incident only to find a strange man choking an old bum, suspending him in mid-air with one arm.
“Can you describe the appearance of this man?” Max interrupted as she was about to continue narrating. He pulled out his cell-phone and scribbled on it’s screen with its pen.
“H-he , h-he wore a black fur coat, h-his e-eyes …” Chloe spoke and went into a state of silence as she swallowed some saliva recalling what she saw.
“Oh my God… his eyes…t-they were glowing…b-blood red,” Chloe continued trembling. Max’s complexion paled with fright as he began to realize whom she was referring to.
“What about his hair?” Max asked as he sought to confirm his fears.
“S-silver,” Chloe replied in a stammering way as she recalled him.
“And b-black,” she continued. By this time Max gave a deep sigh and buried his face in both his palms.
“My God…,” He uttered to himself before collecting himself together and continued to ask.
“So what happened?” He urged her to continue her testimony. Chloe continued to narrate how the man in question continued to taunt her to shoot him while she instinctively renege her threat to shoot him. Galen was leaning against the wall underneath the camera, it was a dark corner that hid face from view.
“You did the right thing. If you had shot him, we would not be speaking right now. We would be making arrangements informing your next of kin” Max commented calmly. He knew the identity of the being whom the policewoman had encountered.
“So how did you escape and what became of the bum?” Max continued to ask.
Chloe continued to narrate how a man who was impossibly fast had taken the bum from where he laid without her noticing and appeared behind her and handed him over to her, telling her to leave and take the man to hospital.
Max’s expression slowly brightened with curiosity as he sought the identity of the man who intervened in the situation.
“Can you tell me how this man looked like?” Max urged as got ready to scribble the appearance of the unknown man who intervened.
“His hair…i-it was snow white…long to his shoulders, curly, he had blue eyes. He wore a white overcoat with a black turtle neck. He also glowed all over in white” Chloe spoke as she recalled the man’s glowing smoky white aura. There was a moment of silence in the room. Max had never heard of such a man. He had heard of the former man with silvery and black hair. He had numerous encounters with him, all of which ended in him decimating the DBI teams and yet somehow he always left Max alive. That man was the singular most dangerous humanoid threat he had ever faced, maybe even in the entire world. No amount of bullets and explosives could deter him. And yet here he stood, being told of another man…or being…he wasn’t sure…but he had never heard of such thing as one whose existence was unfazed by the silvery black demon. That is what he came to call him, a demon, for he had done many horrible things to the DBI and the DBI was powerless against him. Hell, he could bet that even the military would be helpless against one such as him. For his strength and immunity to conventional weapons of human confrontation made him laugh in the face of human futile attempt to harm him. He could only surmise that this was a being who could only be harmed by another way entirely. That was when he embarked on recruiting Prymers for the DBI for he had observed that the being was indeed affected by the offensive onslaught of prymers but the prymers eventually lost to him and he forcefully removed their powers. The fact that the being could remove the powers of prymers implied that this being was of a higher calibre than prymers. And yet, and yet here he sat, listening to a testimony of a policewoman who claims she was aided by one who could go toe to toe with the demon. He had never heard of such a being and the description of the man did not match anyone on the prymer watch-list database. How could a prymer or being of such calibre have eluded the DBI watch-list?

“Do you know where he have gone?...ah…never mind…there is no way you could know,” Max answered his own question. He had started to contemplate bringing such a being over to the DBI. But with a being like that how could he bargain or strike a deal with him?
“Is that all?” Max asked Chloe who replied with a nod, looking down at the table.
Max rose to his feet and started dialling some numbers on his cell phone. His face was pale with fright. A male’s voice answered on the other side of the call.
“Good evening, remind me again, where did you take the man to?” Max asked kindly.
“I see…that will be all,” Max spoke and he hung up.
“Where are we headed,” Galen asked as he curiously eyed Max.
“ Trinix Central Hospital…” Max replied as he sighed.
“Thanks for your cooperation Miss Guthman,” Max thanked Chloe with a smile, she replied with a nod while still looking down at her own legs.
Max and Galen had turned to walk towards the entrance door only to hear multiple gunshots coming from other parts of the precinct, pistols, shotguns and assault rifles could be heard firing consistently followed by crashes, thuds, bangs and screams of police officers. Suddenly, all gun fires ceased and only thuds and screams could be heard. Max calculated the possibilities of what that could mean. Who was so brazen enough to attack the Trinix Police Department? The TPD? And why would they do that? Unless they wanted to make a public statement or they were looking for something, something the TPD had. Normally threats would be met with lethal force retaliation but even that somewhat ceased. This conflict had the markings of overwhelming power behind it and he could only conclude of one thing. Whoever was attacking the police station was someone who had the power and the means to do so and he was not someone to be taken so lightly of.
Max had reached for his Glock pistol in his coat but he decided not to after hearing no sounds of gun shots from the other rooms , yet screams of police officers were heard, followed by thuds and bones cracking and breaking.
“DAMN IT!” Max hissed with fright as he put the pieces of events together and connected the dots. He reached for his phone and called for back-up.
“How many sir?” asked a female voice on the other side of the call.
“30…no… GET EVERYONE HERE! Code Rhino!” Max replied hastily.
“Sir Max, what are we going to do?” Chloe asked with fright, she was unarmed. She had left her gun and holster back at her office.
“The Precinct is under attack. If my intuition is right I think the assailants are looking for someone,” Max concluded.
“Who are ‘they’? And who are they looking for?” Galen asked. He walked close to Max. Chloe got up and walked to Max as well. Max had opened the door slightly and peeped outside. The corridor was quiet, there was no one. Max turned to look at Chloe.
“ I suspect that they are the ones responsible for this morning’s incident. From what you have told me. You took the old bum with you. I think they came here looking for you,” Max spoke to Chloe. Chloe swallowed some saliva as she remembered the red glowing eyes of the man that morning, she trembled slightly as she looked down on the floor. She suddenly felt a hand around her shoulders.
“It’s going to be alright, we won’t let them get to you,” Galen tried to assure the beautiful blonde woman even though he did not know how they were going to protect her or even if they could protect her at all against supernatural foes. Chloe pushed Galen’s hand that was around her shoulders away and took a step away. Galen felt a bit disappointed inside, he had not really intended to make any move on her, but he just wanted to comfort her yet she pushed him away.
“I wouldn’t be so comfortable if I were you either,” Max spoke to Galen as his gaze shifted to him.
“After the story she told us, I think they only seek her for information. If I add that with the interrogation I had with you. I think their REAL target is probably the Crystal capsule that fell in that area. Even if they don’t know it yet but the one they are probably intending to get to in the end…is you Galen,” Max surmised as his gaze focused on Galen.
“My hunch is almost always right! I knew I shouldn’t have brought you with me,” Max continued. Galen’s heart began to race quickly as he digested the fact that he was the ultimate intended target.
“Listen, follow behind me quietly, alright?” Max said as he looked at both Galen and Chloe. They replied with a nod.
Max opened the door and they slipped out quietly along the corridors going away from the reception lobby in a low posture. Policemen could still be heard screaming in pain on the side of the reception lobby.
They went quietly along the corridor ducking down slightly as they sped up their movements. They used the emergency fire exits and came outside. A black armoured SUV was parked nearby. They ran to it but there was no one inside, the doors were locked shut.
“Wait for me here, I’m going to get the keys,” Max told Galen and Chloe.
He ran towards the precinct and took a corner out of sight. Max arrived at the outside entrance of the precinct office only to find soldiers and police officers laying on the concrete ground, some had passed out unconscious while others were moaning in pain. He went to each one, searching which had the car keys.
“Boss! Here!” Moaned one of the injured soldiers as he threw the keys to the SUV he was driving in Max’s direction, his hand was broken and his nose was bleeding. Max cautiously approached the injured soldier, hunched forward low and picked up the keys as he ran.
“Boss! It’s them! Get outta here! Car’s in the back!,” urged the soldier.
“Don’t worry about me! T-They are after someone I think,” moaned the soldier in pain. Max left the soldier and went around the corner where he had emerged and gestured his hand Galen and Chloe to follow him. The two followed behind Max, passing the front entrance of the precinct, they were about to wind the corner out of sight when they heard a crashing sound behind them, followed by a thud and broken bones and a scream of pain. They turned to look. A soldier had been tossed out of the entrance like a piece of rock, crashing out of the doors , rolling multiple times as he fell on the tarmac ground.
A silver-haired woman with glowing yellow eyes strolled out of the crashed entrance and stared at the wounded soldiers before taking notice of Galen, Chloe and Max at the far end corner of the building. It was Kymei, bearer of natural selection and evolution. Her glowing yellow eyes narrowed as she noticed Chloe. She reached for her cell phone in her white long jacket and pulled it out and made a call.
“I found woman,” She spoke in her call and hung up.
She ignored the rest of the wounded soldiers and started to stride steadily towards the direction of the three. Max, Galen and Chloe broke into a sprint towards the armored SUV. Max pressed the unlock button as they neared the vehicle and the doors unlocked themselves and they jumped into it and started the vehicle. As the Ignition started they heard a loud Impact sound on the bonnet of the SUV. Kymei had leaped all the way from where she was and landed on top of the bonnet from above with such weight, it caused the SUV’s front bumper to hit the ground. Max stepped on the accelerator pedal causing the SUV to speed forth, throwing Kymei off-balance over the bonnet, she fell to the side of the SUV. The SUV sped forth and swerved, drifting 180 degrees and faced the direction it came from, facing Kymei who got on her feet and stood in the way. Max stepped on the accelerator full speed intending to ram into Kymei if she stood in the way. But suddenly the car would not speed forth. It’s wheels’ rotation slowed to a slow motion.
“What’s happening?!” Galen exclaimed. It didn’t make sense to him how Max had his leg fully stepped on the acceleration pedal yet the vehicle wasn’t moving at all.
“Can’t you see I’m trying here?!” Max exclaimed back at him.
“Look…” Chloe pointed forward ahead of them. Max turned the full headlights to maximum degree only to notice a man walking slowly towards them in front of them. He was dressed in a black sleeveless jacket with a red T-shirt inside it, timberland boots. It was Wryth, bearer of space-time regression.
“You are not going anywhere from there,” He spoke as he stopped beside Kymei and jerked his head, signalling Kymei to go ahead and get them. Kymei walked around the bonnet to the passenger’s seat and grabbed the door by the handle. She was about to rip it out when Galen purposefully unlocked the door and kicked it open, hitting Kymei’s head, stunning her by surprise. Galen pulled the door back again and kicked it out the second time, hitting the stunned Kymei again, causing her to fall back on her butt on the tarmac ground. She angrily got back on her feet and murderously glared at Galen.
“Human meat no good! But you! Okay eat!” She angrily snarled at him as she lunged forward and kicked the armored door with all her might, bending the thick metal towards the inside of the vehicle. Galen groaned in pain as the very door he used for offense and protection was used against him, hurt him as its metal bent towards the inside of the vehicle. The window glass shattered and lacerated his cheeks.
“Galen!” Max shouted as his other hand reached for his glock pistol in his coat and turned off the safety and aimed at Kymei’s head and pulled the trigger but the bullet did not come out of the barrel. Kymei reached forth with her right arm past the shattered window and grabbed Galen’s neck and chocked him, attempting to pull him out of the vehicle. She punched him with her other hand once, stunning him and causing a nose-bleed. She cocked back her arm and rammed her fist into his face a second time. Galen’s nose was bleeding from the nose-holes. Galen’s thoughts began to race as he was horrified at Kymei’s monstrous strength. This was not the strength of a human at all. He held Kymei’s choking arm by her wrists with both his hands attempting break free from her grip on his neck.
“What the fuck is with this strength?! I-I can’t break free?! I have to do something, I’m seriously going to die at this rate! This bitch could really kill me!”
His thoughts raced desperately inside him to do something. This woman had supernatural strength that he couldn’t seem to match. He was quickly losing breath and consciousness as his shocked eyes began to loosen up. It was at this moment that he lost control of himself and his vision became encircled with magenta smoky edges that dynamically danced at the edges of his field of view. The fidelity of his vision sharpened to super human levels, clearly seeing details down to the texture of the human skin, skin-hairs and skin pores. His purple irises became encircled by magenta-colored smoky corona which began to glow intensly as his gaze shifted from Kymei’s chocking arm and straightly focused onto her eyes. At that instant Kymei became shocked. Galen instinctively Imprinted the experience of being chocked by supernatural strength unto Kymei. She immediately let go off her choking arm on Galen and started trying to hold what looked like an invisible chocking hand that tightly gripped her neck with supernatural strength. From the perspective of anyone around, she looked like someone being chocked and yet trying to hold an arm that could not be seen.
“KYMEI!” Wryth shouted as he panicked at the state of his partner. At that moment, his concentration on stopping the motion of the SUV lessened and the vehicle broke into a fully accelerated start, partly ramming him as he tried to dodge the car but ended up being hit and tossed to the side of the vehicle.
Max grabbed the steering wheel and swerved the SUV past corner, it disappeared out of view.
Wryth groaned in pain as he rolled around on the tarmac ground. He slowly helped himself to his feet and turned to look at Kymei, unconscious, choked by something invisible. One moment they had them, they had the upper hand, the next moment the situation was reversed, it was Kymei who was being choked. Wryth wondered to himself and thought to himself that the male who had done that to Kymei was definitely no ordinary man. He may be a prymer of the DBI.
Wryth reached for his cell-phone in his jacket, pulled it out and made a call.
“Kymei is neutralized. We’ve lost them, target escaped. Subject is being accompanied by a prymer. Powers are unknown, judging by their reaction, the enemy is likely aware of our objective, they are likely headed for the second target. Proceed with caution, over. ” Wryth reported.
MEANWHILE , IN THE SUV…
There was an awkward moment of silence in the SUV as they sped across the streets. Max broke the silence by speaking.
“You did well back there, we wouldn’t have managed to get out of there without you,” Max complemented Galen.
“It was a fluke, they almost had us,” Galen replied while looking slightly down.
“Even if that was a fluke, it was enough to get us out of that bind, and for that you deserve some credit,” Max added.
“Yeah, thanks,” Chloe added sheepishly.
“Where are we going now?” Galen asked Max as he looked at him.
“Trinix Central Hospital…to secure our second source, I just hope they haven’t gotten to him yet,” Max replied.
Max opened the front mini-cabinet between the front driver and passenger seat and pulled out a siren, lowered his window and placed it over the vehicle. The Siren automatically magnetized to the top surface and started wailing. Cars on the road parked to the side as they gave way to the DBI SUV. The SUV arrived at an intersection where it ignored the red traffic lights and went through, swerved to the right and continued speeding.
The large Trinix Central Hospital Billboard could be seen ahead of them as they rose up a hilly tarmac road.
As the vehicle approached the hospital, Max turned the headlights to maximum illumination only to notice a strange man in a hospital gown lying in the middle of the road about 100 metres from them. Max’s leg immediately shifted to the breaking pedal and began lightly stepping on it, wondering who the hospitalized man lying in the middle of the road is. As the SUV began to slow down, Max noticed something else, two people stood on the rooftop of two buildings, one on either side of the road, by their silhouette, one was a man and the other was a woman. Suddenly he noticed two red glowing emissions from the silhouette of the man where the head is. The front bonnet of the vehicle caught fire out of thin air.
“Oh no!” Max thought to himself with a horrified expression on his face as he stared at the now bonfire in the front of the SUV. Galen and Chloe panicked as they saw this.
“GET OUT! NOW!” Max shouted hastily as all of them opened their doors while the vehicle was in motion and jumped off of it, rolling multiple times as they hit the ground. The vehicle exploded about fifteen meters ahead of them. The two mysterious individuals jumped down from the top of the buildings on opposite sides of the road, landed on the tarmac ground and began striding towards Max, Chloe and Galen.
“Fuck!” Max hissed to himself as he got up, reached for his glock pistol inside his coat, pulled it out and aimed it at the man who had red glowing eyes. The red glowing eyes were visible even in that dark night. But before Max could pull the trigger, the ground beneath him caved into a crater and he lost his aim as he fell along with it, hitting the ground with his back, Max groaned in pain, his gun slipped from his grip as he let go off it from the impact. As the gun hit the ground around the crater, the ground reached forth like a mouth and devoured it.
“Oh great! Now we are fucked!” Max thought to himself as he watched his glock pistol disappear into the ground that had devoured it.
As the two mysterious individuals came into clearer view, they revealed themselves. It was Chryder with red glowing eyes and Meldana.
Galen stepped in front of Chloe, facing the two prymers.
“Hand over the woman, we have no business with you,” Meldana spoke to Galen.
“Get lost, bitch!” Galen spoke that instinctively without thinking twice. He didn’t know why such vulgarity would come out his mouth. Meldana looked at Chryder and sighed deeply before her face hardened into a serious rage and went red, she looked at Galen and stomped the earth. The ground beneath Galen spiked up into two spikes that pierced through the muscles of both calves of his legs, impaling them and emerging bloody on the opposite side of his legs.
“GALEN!” Chloe screamed in panic.
Galen screamed at the top of his lungs as he dropped to his knees but the ground in front of him reached forth like a hand and sealed his mouth, effectively rendering his screams into silence, tears welled up in his eyes as he felt excruciating pain in both his bleeding legs which were now fountaining blood. He was now on all fours on the ground.
“Who’s the bitch now?” Meldana mocked with a satisfied grin.
Galen wrestled the tarmac hand stopping him from screaming as it sealed his lips. He could not get it out, breathing was growing increasingly difficult. As he struggled, the edges of his vision began to manifest magenta-coloured foggy outlines as a magenta glowing corona’s formed on the edges of his irises. He remembered being punched twice by Kymei while being choked with one hand. His gaze shifted from the tarmac hand to Meldana and Imprinted that experience unto her causing her to suddenly choke and her nose began to bleed as if she had been twice punched by a fist she could not see. She was struggling to hold some kind of invisible hand choking her neck. Her eyes widened with shock as she had never experienced such a state.
“WHAT IS THIS?!” she thought to herself , she could not speak audibly because she would run out of breath and pass out. She had never met a prymer who could do this. Her eyes met Chryder’s glowing red gaze and she nodded.
Chryder’s glowing red gaze shifted from his choked partner Meldana, to Galen, Igniting Galen’s dark blue turtle neck on fire. Galen screamed in pain as he tried to roll around the ground, attempting to put out the fire but the red flames did not seem to die down. The fire had devoured holes into his turtle neck and started eating at his skin.
Suddenly a volume of water large enough to fill a big tank descended from the sky above him and fell on him, wetting him and neutralizing the supernatural red flame into embers of crimson and white. The water spilled on the ground, collected in front of Galen into a humanoid form of a voluptuous woman rendering from bottom to top. She was dressed in brown leather knee-high boots with black semi-transparent stockings that went up to the middle of her thighs, white-coloured daisy dukes short shorts, a white tank top and an unbuttoned brown double-breasted coat over the tank top, black leather gloves over her hands. The coat was only long enough to her hips. She had Germanic skin with eyes of two different colors, her left eye was pinkish-red, while her right eye was greenish-blue and long voluminous bright reddish-brown hair that went down to the end of her shoulder blades. Her name was Sonia. Her age looked in the mid-20s.
Sonia ignored Chryder and Meldana and turned to Galen and took a step towards him, squatted low and examined his 3rd degree burns on his torso and impaled bleeding legs.
“He’s dying,” she thought to herself without saying a word.
Chryder used the opportunity and focused his eyes on Sonia’s reddish-brown long hair and set fire unto it. The fire began to eat at Sonia’s hair when suddenly , she turned into a watery humanoid figure of herself, instantly neutralizing the fire into smoke and embers, she then turned into air wind , invisible, instantly closed the distance between her and Chryder , clenched her fist, cocked it back and launched it at Chryder’s face, the clenched first turned along the trajectory from air wind to the tarmac earth, ramming into Chryder’s unsuspecting face, launching him off his feet, sending him crashing several meters. Meldana was still struggling with the invisible chocking hand, she was now on her knees. The experience of being choked by so powerful a hand was not going away.
Sonia ignored Chryder and Meldana and went back to Galen. Meldana ran towards Chryder while struggling to hold her breath and they both looked at each other and nodded their heads, they looked at Sonia, who slowly turned her head halfway looked back at them with eyes of ‘you-want-some-more’? Both of them ran away into an alley behind them and disappeared from view.
Galen’s vision was growing blurry with loss of blood and excruciating pain from 3rd degree burns and bleeding legs. He felt someone holding his back with two hands and carrying him on their back, the person smelled like lavenders.
“W-whooo …are you?” Galen asked tiredly.
“Don’t talk, you’ll die if someone doesn’t treat you soon,” Sonia spoke as she gave Galen a piggyback ride. Galen passed out, unconscious.
“Wait! Wait!” Max shouted as he escaped from the crater. Sonia stopped without turning around.
“Are you going to stop me senior agent?” Sonia asked.
Max paused for a few moments wondering how she knew who he was.
“That man is an agent of the DBI, you are taking a man without their consent, that’s kidnapping,” Max spoke that as it came out of his lips without thinking even though he felt that there was nothing he could do in a fight against this prymer. She was strong enough in that situation to force 2 prymers to back away.
“If I leave him here, he will die. The hospital ahead is in a mess, so we can’t take him there. Even if we take him there, they can’t treat prymer wounds. He can be treated where I’m taking him to, each minute I spend here, Galen gets closer to death, you already have the two witnesses you came for” Sonia spoke.
“Wait! How did you know his name? And how did you know we were after the two witnesses?” Max asked, he now had more questions than answers. The woman seemed to know a lot about DBI operations than he knew about her. She even seemed to know his rank of senior agent.
“We’ll talk once Galen is treated,” Sonia spoke, in that moment, another woman teleported into existence out of thin air in front of her. She had deep blood-red hair, forest green eyes, snow pale skin and her nails were painted red. She was dressed in a red turtle neck, black latex skin-tight pants with brown short high-heel boots. She looked in her mid-20s. Her name was Shyuna. Sonia handed over the unconscious Galen over to Shyuna , who immediately teleported out of view into thin air along with Galen in her arms, leaving only Sonia with Max and Chloe and the old bum lying unconscious in a hospital gown in the middle of the deserted road.
Sonia began to walk away when Max spoke behind her.
“Take me to where Galen is, he’s a very important asset of the DBI, it’s my job to take care of prymers who belong to the DBI,”
There was a moment of silence before Sonia nodded her head in agreement.
Max and Chloe looked at each other and walked to the old bum and carried him whilst he was still unconscious and they both left the scene and followed after Sonia.
LATER THAT NIGHT.....UNDERNEATH TRINIX NATIONAL LIBRARY…
Vyker stood in the middle of a large dome-shaped chamber underground. Kymei, Wryth, Meldana and Chryder stood a few metres behind him.
“So you are telling me THAT FOUR PRYMERS FAILED TO SECURE TWO CIVILIAN TARGETS BECAUSE OF ONE PRYMER OF THE DBI?!” Vyker raised his voice as he turned around to face his four subordinates. Meldana, Kymei and Wryth knew Vyker well enough to keep quiet when he was speaking, especially when he was enraged or disappointed. Chryder attempted to explain.
“Sir his powers wer-”
Before Chryder could finish his statement, Vyker instantly disappeared where he was standing and appeared right in front of Chryder , rammed his left fist to Chryder’s right cheek, knocking him to the ground in one punch.
“You dare make excuses? YOU DARE SPEAK AFTER SUCH A FAILURE?!” Vyker bellowed at Chryder. The other three were silently observing their fellow getting beaten.
“If you are going to fail at such a simple and menial task, perhaps I made a mistake saving you that night and granting you the powers that you now possess,” Vyker spoke coldly to Chryder.
“A-another prymer stepped in sir,” Chryder pleaded while still on the ground on all fours.
“Another prymer? Who is this other prymer who ruined my plans?” Vyker asked coldly.
“I-I don’t know sir,” Chryder replied fearfully. He thought Vyker would hit him and bellow at him again.
“Sonia…,” Meldana added.
“Sonia....Killian’s little sheep,” Vyker hissed coldly as he turned away and glared ahead. There was a moment of silence again before Vyker spoke.
“Tell me more about this new prymer whose powers cannot be identified…”
“Me felt choked and punched but me see no hand,” Kymei said as she recalled what happened after she choked Galen.
“I second that,” Meldana added.
“I felt strongly choked but I couldn’t see the hand that choked me…I’ve never felt anything like it before… His eyes also glowed,” Meldana continued elaborating as she recalled what happened after she wounded Galen’s legs.
“I see….so I take it that he is the type that uses eye contact as the trigger,” Vyker concluded. He turned towards his subordinates and walked past them towards the entrance door.
“Sir, what’s the plan now?” Wryth asked curiously. Vyker’s strides stopped.
“You stay here and recuperate, I’ll uncover his identity myself,” Vyker spoke.

At Palomar High, every student is required to join a club. Neil Velazquez is an incoming senior at this school. From the basket weaving club to the humanist society, he coasted through junior year by lurking in such unrelated, nonserious, and low-commitment groups. He's not interested in participating in any activities. He could care less, and is just looking for a place to fulfill the requirement. He's panicked that all of the easy clubs are disappearing. That's when he stumbles across the "Going-Home Club". It's a club where nothing happens. Absolutely nothing. Vector Attribution: Building Vectors by Vecteezy

A normal highschool boy, who is lazy, love playing games, and reading books. Bad at sport, and social studies died at the hands of a truck. He who though that he'll be send to either heaven or hell, was suprised to see himself reincarnated in a fantasy world. Basically it's your average reincarnation novel.*note*I'm a newbie at this, English is not my mother language, and I just did this in my free time
