Chapter 2: Dinner
Evan opened a large door, leading to a large banquet hall. Lime followed closely behind him.
“My precious angels, how are you?!” A voice asked
“Hi mom!!” The twins said
“You’re late. You three lack manners.” Said a man, with a stern face
“Sorry, father.” Evan said
Lime hid behind Evan
“Dear. It’s only the four of us here, what does it matter? We’re family.” Mom said
“I still don’t approve of how you are deciding to raise them. It’s an embarrassment to the entire family. I’ll let it go for now, considering that they are young, but it’s not appropriate.” Father said
“Stop being an old grouch. What do you expect from them?” Mom asked
“I expect them to not tarnish the family’s name. While Evan is strong, they are only one year old. Of course I’m not expecting anything more from them right now. I must say, they are quite smart for their age though. Better than that muscle head Flaine.” Father said
“I’m pretty sure that was your fault, dummy. You made him train instead of study.” Mom said
“True. Which is why I conceded the twins upbringing to you. So far, everything seems fine, though. You are doing a good job. While he may not have a strong body, Evans' magic is immense, and his studies are anything but lacking. lime on the other hand… even if I ignore the feelings they have, I can’t imagine any scenario in which she can survive in the future without her brother. He’s the only vampire that can use healing magic, after all. Lime is too fragile.” Father said
“Yes. She has had less attacks the past month, thankfully. I still don’t know what to do.” Mom said, concerned

“At this point, it’s not possible to marry either of them off to their engagement partners.” Father said, sighing
“We don’t want to get married to them.” Evan said
“That’s the last thing we want.” Lime said
“You two…. whatever. You two are young. You will understand it as you mature. The main family has chosen not to pursue it for the moment, thankfully. Probably because of Your magic.” Father said
“Yeah, I can just destroy them.” Evan said
“I will not allow my child to become a treasonous criminal. I know you don’t understand anything yet, but…you two are siblings, it’s not acceptable. we can talk about this again when you are older.” Father said, giving up on separating them.
“Yes, father.” Evan said, smiling
“Ugh. I’m immune to your petty charms, child. Let’s just eat.” Father said, the side of his lips twitching into an obviously suppressed smile.
“Yes, eat, then it’s time for bed.” Mom said
“Yes mom.” Evan said
“Yes mom!” Lime said
They ate, and the day ended.

Sod's Law (Dropped)
This fiction has been dropped, you're more than welcome to read it anyway (there is sort of an ending). But you have been warned... Sod's law is a more extreme version of Murphy's law. While Murphy's law says that anything that can go wrong, will go wrong (eventually), Sod's law requires that it always goes wrong with the worst possible outcome. For example, concepts such as "bad fortune will be tailored to the individual" and "good fortune will occur in spite of the individual's actions" are sometimes given as examples of Sod's law in action. This would broaden Sod's law to a general sense of being "mocked by fate". In these aspects it is similar to some definitions of irony, particularly the irony of fate. - Definitions of Sod's Law on Wikipedia. The protagonist, as many before them, and many who followed, thought they were just entering a VRMMORPG (Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing-Game). Unbeknownst to them however, was a short paragraph in the Terms & Conditions, that, upon agreement, would actually transport them to a fantasy world, loosely based on the game they thought they were entering. - Something anyone could be forgiven for, no-one reads them after all. In this new world, they discover that people are born with “Traits”, a System recognised, ability, skill, or talent, that they are born with. Sod's Law was not a trait they, or anyone else for that matter, would want. Pure madness follows. Yup, this is about a character transferred to a fantasy game-world with the worst luck imaginable. This is my first fiction so I apologise for any grammar and spelling mistakes that may be made. Hopefully it is readable, and if so please tell me! But if it's not, also tell me, but in a constructive way if at all possible? Due to the nature of the “Trait” the story will be dark in places, with plenty of gore and profanity, hence the tags. There may also be scenes of a sexual nature, but nothing full on – sorry guys but you'll have to go elsewhere for that.
