《Hopeless Romangatic》Short: A hero's duty!

I sit there as the suits lay on the table before me. Staring back. Eva left them on there last week and I got here early thinking I was late... I want to try on one. Despite them looking like they've been stolen straight off a certain kids T.V. Show set.

Looking at the three suits there's one that looks like it could fit me.

But what if someone sees me? What would they think...

I check around me to make sure the area is clear.

Not a soul in sight. The air is stale. Not even the wind can be heard.

OK! I guess I can try one on... Pardon me!

I grab one of the suits. I'm pretty sure it's Milk Boy judging by it's the only one that seems to fit perfectly on me.

...

It doesn't smell? That's a surprise considering it's Milk Boy. His personality reeks of someone that wouldn't smell very good.

Wait. I put my nose up to the suit and... It has no smell at all?! I grab the other two to make sure that it's not just me.

The green one has a very distinct peachy smell. While the blue one has a strong lavender smell. But his? It's almost like there's nothing there.

Now that I think about it even more, I don't think I have ever smelled Sojiro! I know it's weird. It's even weirder that he doesn't have a smell. Is he that much of a die hard manga fan?!

After finally realizing how much I was focusing on a smell of a suit, I finally put it on.

It feels really comfortable! Somehow it has ventilation...? I can see almost crystal clear out of the mask. This makes them trying to grab my pencil last week, all the more embarrassing.

Now that I have it on... What should I do?

I try a pose like they did. It doesn't feel right. Maybe this way? What if I did this instead?

It took me a moment to actually find my pose. Trying out to be the fourth member of the Trifecta isn't easy ya know?!

Once I finally get my pose locked in, I need my own line.

Well... I did forget the fact that it's about me.

"We fight for the light and the life in me!"

Nope... That's too egotistical.

"What the trash do you think you're doing?!"

Nah... That's too vulgar.

"It's our duty to protect Yu and Me!"

Sounds too much like a different word...

It also takes a moment for me to also takes me a moment to figure out a catchphrase.

I get into my position, prepare to speak, and then wait for the spotlight.

The spotlight turns on in the middle of the room. I slide into position. Saying my line.

"I've not only come to save the day, but say that you'll be OK!"

Hmph! I think I did pretty well. I nod to myself in approval.

"Pffff...BWAHAHAHAHAAA!"

As the spotlight continues to shine on me, I see someone out the corner of my eye. I check my side to see...

"Eva?! How long have you been standing there...?"

"Oh, Me? Uhhhh only around when you were sniffing the outfits..."

THAT'S SO LONG!

"Don't worry though, I won't tell anyone that you like to sniff clothes. We all have weird tendencies!"

"Waiiiiiit no! I didn't do that because I liked it!"

"No need to be so modest! Your secret is safe with me. And that act you put on was so cute!"

Now looking around me, the spotlight wasn't a figure of my imagination. She put it there didn't she?!

She pats me on the head pitying me. Maybe I am weirder than Milk Boy...
