《Saints Row: The World Is Yours》Chapter 2 - Dispute

The Boss took off with Angel using his motorcycle, deciding to head off to 3 Count Casino since the Luchadores have retrieved the territory. With Killbane washed out of Steelport, the Luchadores operating without a Leader left them to find out a mystery that they are about to solve. Angel is the one man he could rely on when it comes to conflict between the Saints and the Luchadores, reaching the Port Pryor to infiltrate the Hotel where the Luchadors are.
"Shit, Angel. This wouldn't have happened if I wasn't drunk last night." The Boss blamed himself for Shaundi's mishap.
"Why the fuck are you blaming yourself?" Angel asked while locating his duffel bag he brought full of firearms.
"Never mind, I'll explain to you later. The Luchadors are still alive and kicking, man. I thought Killbane's stepping out after our match with him." Miguel grew frustrated upon the Luchadores kidnapping Shaundi.
"Well, I don't know. Killbane is not our priority, we need to find out what they are up to." De LaMuerte came up with their plans for taking everything back they once took over.
Miguel pulled over on the 3 Count's exterior, and while Angel is finding a way how to enter the hotel, the Boss brought the STAG SMGs from the duffel bag and began firing it to the Luchadors. "Eat it, scumbags."
"What the fuck are you doing, Miguel? I said wait for my signal until I find an opening." Angel wanted to move according to his plans.
"Oops, I still make the rules, alright? Take care of Shaundi and I'll stay here, now go. We don't have much time." Miguel gave De LaMuerte an order to search for Shaundi, and Angel doesn't have any choice but to do it.
The Luchadores have set their vehicles on columns to block Miguel's way, but he finds a way to break into in as he brings a Rocket Launcher out, using it to blow everything up in his route. Meanwhile, Angel goes into the second floor of the casino to locate where Shaundi is. They were no signs of her presence, however, but what welcomed him is the Brutes. The wrestler was brave enough to face them, but what affected him is their aggressiveness as they charged to tackle him.
Angel was caught by it, landing at the machine slots painfully. He doesn't show any signs of discomfort after getting up from such a vicious shove from the muscular Brutes, and his bold actions brought him to manhandle them by performing his wrestling moves to the Herculean Brutes. He sends them down below by wrapping his legs around her neck and shoulders, and the Brutes weren't able to recoup from it.
Back to Miguel, he enters the Hotel interior seeing the downed Brutes that Angel mauled. "Holy shit, Angel. You did this?"
"Yeah, now let's get moving." Angel resumes his search for Shaundi, and Miguel joins him.
After the Boss reached the second floor, they were halted by a group of Luchadors holding Mini-guns and such. "Angel, look out!"
They immediately got into cover, and the Luchador's barrage of bullets isn't slowing down. "Man, how are they still running at this point? That fucking Killbane, I should have killed him."

"Well, we would be on Shaundi's funeral right now if you chose to kill him!" Angel's argument with Miguel gets heated while they are hiding.
"Whatever, I saved her because I care. Killbane's done, okay? His legacy's over." The Boss replied, and what happens next is a strange man in a mask walking past them.
"Hola, amigos." The guy in a mask signaled the Luchadores to commence ceasefire by putting his hands up, greeting two of the Saints who came to save Shaundi.
"And who the fuck are you?" Angel doesn't know who the new guy is, but Miguel does.
"Wait a minute... I know that voice." The Boss recognizes the masked man's voice.
"It is I, brother." The man in a mask introduces himself as the Boss's brother.
Angel looked at Miguel, crossing his arms after learning about them both. "You have a brother?!"
"Sorry if I kept this little secret of mine from you guys... I had to hide my personal information from each and every single one of you." Miguel apologizes to Angel on behalf of the Saints.
"Still running this gang of yours, I see? Have you forgotten about family time now?" Miguel's brother talked about the Saints and how it bloomed.
"How would I forget about you, Manuel?" Miguel called him on his real name.
"Oh, I'm not Manuel Alatorre anymore. It's Mano de Sangre now." Manuel would like to be called in his name as a Luchador.
"Okay, Mano de Sangre. Where's Shaundi?" The Boss asked where she is.
"The girl? Oh, she's fine. Just tied up and sleeping." Manuel talked about Shaundi's situation insensitively which had his brother pissed off.
Miguel was about to go after his brother, but Angel stops him. "You take that back, gringo!"
"Boss! Hey. We'll sort this out." Angel tries to hold Miguel back.
"You're working for Killbane now, eh? Are you on drugs again?" Miguel couldn't believe that Manuel has aligned himself with the Luchadores.
"Just like the old times, brother. See, we should be the ones leading the Saints but no, you abandoned me." Manuel expresses his frustrations toward his younger brother.
"What? You were in Los Carnales while I was with the Saints. Luckily, we spared you. And now you have a new circle of friends just to oppose me? We should settle this like real men, brother." The Boss steps forward, facing his older brother.
They stared at each other as they would break one another apart, but Manuel just smirked mischievously because of his brother's serious demeanor. "Why so serious, brother? I thought the Saints is all about partying and pointless fun."
"This is where I'm not having fun anymore, Manuel. Bring Shaundi out before I shoot you in the fucking head." Miguel threatens his brother, showing him his guns.
"Why do you care so much for the bitch? She's worthless, eh. She belongs to the streets." Manuel rests his hands in his waist, knowing that the Luchadores have his back.
"That's where we came from, motherfucker. And Shaundi... She deserves better." Miguel points the STAG guns at Mano de Sangre, but Angel again ceases him.

"What the fuck are you doing, Miguel? You shoot him, we're dead." De LaMuerte tries to take the guns away from the Boss.
"That sounds better than us living with him in this shithole! And what the fuck do you think this is?" Miguel starts to contend with Angel, and when he focuses on his brother again, Manuel lays his fist on him.
Mano de Sangre escapes with the Luchadores before Angel and Miguel could even pull their guns out, and the Boss grew baffled upon their escape. "Fucking hell, you let them escape? Goddammit, Angel."
The 3 Count Casino doesn't have any attendees other than Angel and Miguel, but now, no one would stand in their way to find Shaundi. And while Manuel leaves with the Luchadors, they shut the whole place down to trap them inside. "Let them be, boys."
While running around the hallway, Angel notices that the casino is closing. "Boss, they're closing the Casino."
"Shit... We fucked up again. How couldn't we screw this up all the goddamn time?" Miguel gets furious for more during his search for an opening to escape the now-closed gambling infrastructure.
"Wait, I'll call for backup," Angel calls for Pierce on his phone, but he doesn't answer.
"I told you not to call them or else, we're finished." The Boss opened the rooms left unlocked on the second floor, but they still couldn't find Shaundi.
A few minutes later, a muffled scream could be heard inside the casino. Miguel lurks around the second floor before heading back to the first while Angel tries to locate every single vent inside the casino that they could access for their escape plan. The Boss arrives at the vault, but it was all locked up and he doesn't know how to open it. In an attempt to open it, Angel unexpectedly failed, forcing them to go for other options to unlock it forcefully.
"I thought you would pull a lever or something to open it. They're using combinations now?" The Boss kicked the vault in anger, and Angel still doesn't give up until they breach the vault.
"We could use Kinzie at this one, but no, she ain't here." De LaMuerte replied whilst searching for an appropriate tool to break through the encrypted vault.
"Fuck it, I'm going through." Miguel sticks Satchel Charges on the locked door, stepping away from it before pressing the button that would activate it.
"Miguel, what are you- Okay, you got lucky." Angel was away from the lock when the Satchel Charges exploded, kicking the door open to enter it.
There, they saw Shaundi all tied up in a chair. Once Miguel steps inside the vault, lasers, and traps were activated. And to bypass it, they have to go and press the button behind the chair where Shaundi was left enchained. The Boss evaded the lasers transiting around the vault, and he makes sure that he wouldn't step on the traps set on the floor. And after he surpassed the traps successfully, he removed the straps attached to Shaundi's body before pressing the button that would turn the lasers and projectiles off.
"Shaundi, are you okay?" Miguel asked her if she is fine after she was kidnapped.
"After being tied up for hours with a psychopathic douchebag having tendencies to abuse me? Yeah, I'm okay." Shaundi removes the rest of the leashes that have been fastened onto her.
"I'm sorry on behalf of him... This wouldn't have happened if I wasn't wasted last night." The Boss directly apologizes to Shaundi after what happened last night.
Instead of accepting it sincerely, she slaps Miguel instead. "After you getting soft on me? Now let's go."
"Ouch... But that was a good one." The pain from the slap felt great for Miguel.
"Let's find a way how to escape first. They locked up the whole place to make sure that we couldn't get out of here alive." Angel finds a spot where they could execute the fleeing.
"Tunneling? Eugh." Shaundi crosses her arms after hearing the wrestler's idea of getting out of the casino.
"The windows, doors, and other passageways to exit are locked in with shit that's indestructible. The vents are too narrow to fit in, so yeah, we'll dig up a tunnel here whether you guys like it or not." The Boss approves of Angel's idea so they began using the jackhammer stored in the vault, cracking the floor open making a tunnel out of it.
Hours later, they are now making their way out of the 3 Count Casino as they find themselves on the roads of Port Pryor. Shaundi quickly climbed up the hole they dug, asking where they are. "Um, where the fuck are we?"
"Great, we're at Port Pryor. Let's jet." Miguel seeks a possible getaway vehicle.
"What about this hole? Wouldn't they suspect that someone robbed the hotel? We don't own the place yet legally." Angel is not comfortable seeing the tunnel they made for them to find a way out of the casino.
"Whatever, fuck it. I'll just call Mayor Reynolds to take care of the property damage." Miguel considered Mayor Burt Reynolds to help them with the mess they did.
"Look, it's our ride." A purple vehicle pulled over in front of them, but when they opened the door, it's empty and it left the Boss confused.
"What the fuck? There's no one in here." Shaundi was about to enter the backseat, seeing that no one is driving it.
"The car's being controlled by an RC Processor, I don't know which one is playing with it." Miguel suspected that someone stole the RC Processor to use it against them.
"Damn right, it is. Oh, look. The Third Street Saints thinking that they eliminated the competition. Tell Kinzie I'm coming for her." A familiar voice was heard on their mobile devices even if the number was blocked.
"Matt fucking Miller... I knew it was you."
To be continued...

8 159Witch Hunt. A Warhammer Fiction
The adventures of Adebar von Bolstedt continue!Adebar von Bolstedt, fugitive noble scion of the Empire, stuck in the Great Forest of Talabecland, is gravely wounded by the bestial denizens of the dark wintery woods, only surviving due to the timely arrival of aid and relief in the form of the masters of this land. What begins as a pleasant stay with the wild noblemen of Talabecland soon becomes a matter of faith and tradition as old as the Empire itself, when he finds himself trying to root out a coven of witches from a society that prides itself on rural living and knowledge of the mysteries of the wild. This quest will either see von Bolstedt's shaken faith in his own god reforged into an intolerant blade, or shattered like ice. Word from the AuthorGreetings! Witch Hunt plays out in the much beloved Warhammer Fantasy setting (owned, of course, by Games Workshop). Do not fret, however, as I've made it a point to make the story digestible even to the uninitiated, and maybe even be a good introduction to the setting. This is the second part of the adventures of Adebar von Bolstedt, as such I recommend reading part one, titled "The Hand of Sigmar" first. While I cannot claim the places, concepts and gods etc. mentioned within as my own, the story and all characters flowed from my own fingers.
8 164The Choice of Twilight
Growing up has always been difficult. It's even worse when you have to do it all in one night. On the eve of his thirteenth birthday, Ty awakes to find himself in a dreamworld, one-so he is told-that exists to pit him against his greatest fears and insecurities. And to ready him for a final choice. Luckily, Ty is not without friends. He soon meets Gentry, a wooden puppet his grandfather made for him years ago, walking and talking, ready to help Ty learn what he needs to return home in one piece. But that won't be easy when a cruel and abnormally tall skeleton dressed in mockery of Santa Claus and his suit hates Ty's guts. San wants nothing more than to best Ty and do what none of his kind has ever done before: defeat a child that has made "the choice." But Ty will stop at nothing to fight back against everything San's got in order to face his fears and grow up. Because, if he doesn't, he will end up a kid forever. Or, worse...never wake up again. This story is perfect for you if you are a fan of Coraline and Kingdom Hearts, both of those stories greatly inspired this one. I have recently added the Isekai tag after being unsure if it counts or not. I've decided it fits the description of what it is but not the current trends in the genre. If you go in with Coraline in mind I think you will have a better idea of the kind of Isekai this is. And I've also added the Slice of Life tag, that is only for the first five or six chapters though, then Ty enters the dream world and it pretty quickly becoms a progression fantasy, a mix of more traditional fairy tale like trappings alongside more anime action and acquisition of slowly increasing powers. With all that out of the way, please enjoy! Updates every Tuesday and Thursday! What time of day? It's a mystery! (For now)
