《Oath breaker》Chapter 1 a normal day unfolds

Normal.
Is what I am. From the beginning when I was born, down to the seconds I count today. Even when the earth collapsed, I was nothing but normal.
I was born into a normal family, we weren’t wealthy nor poor. I had average looks, average height, average intelligence, average weight.
That’s what I was, right in the middle, not special in any way shape or form.
Yet, I’ve never once hated that. I’m content with being normal, that means I’m at least able to fit in with the rest without any problems.
But recently, a star has shown it’s light upon my world. Illuminating the bleak life I had lived and giving a new sense of purpose to my ordinary life.
This isn’t a story about someone amazing. This isn’t a story about a ancient god who fell down to hell. This isn’t a story about a overpowered person who rules the world.
This is my story, and how I turned from being the most ordinary person in the world into someone important.
The furqan high school is a average place where the students come to study and gain knowledge, Just like any other ordinary high school, and I was a student of this school.
I didn’t have many friends nor did I really stand out much. I enjoyed my time reading my fantasy books and listening to music without having to worry about going out with people or having to worry about being scolded by a friend for not hanging around with them. I only had one friend and as far as I knew she was absent today.
I looked into the window where I was seated and I noticed how messy my hair was.
“ ugh, dear god why did I not do my hair today. Good thing I brought my hair tie with me”
I said as I took a hair tie from my pocket and tied my hair.
I had medium length black hair, it was neither long nor short. But I really liked it.
My chemistry teacher came to us to give a lecture so I closed my book and paid attention to him. I always loved my chem teacher Ammar, he always knew how to give good lectures and I honestly enjoyed every single one of them. He might be strict at times but I don’t mind it, he’s a nice person after all.

Soon after school ended and I packed my bag and went back home. I didn’t have a car so I just went back home walking. My house was next to school, maybe a 30 minute walk would get me there. It was a pretty normal distance from my house to the school so there was no point in me taking the bus.
I lived in a small village where my only friend was my neighbour, it’s really a nice feeling to wake up everyday and walk together with her to school, I rather enjoy our chats together a lot.
I went back home, made dinner, ate with my family and just headed to bed.
I laid there on my bed and I started to think.
“Everyday, I follow the same routine. Wake up, get dressed, get to school, and come back to sleep. Can I really call that living ?”
I thought to myself.
A slight feeling of sadness reigned over me. I thought to myself that this was all just rather very stupid, many people live this same exact life, so why should I be sad about it ?
I pulled my blanket over my head and I went to sleep without thinking too much of it.
I woke up the next morning and I wore my school uniform and went to school. I walked down the village’s road and I had my headphones on. Suddenly without a warning I heard a loud noise coming from behind me.
“PAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMM”
Said the girl who was running towards me trying to tackle me.
Without even having a second to think the girl jumped at me leading to both me and her being falling onto the ground.
“ Ahhh, Frida did you seriously have to jump at me that hard ?”
I said to Frida while rubbing my head as she laid there on top of me in the middle of the street.
“Hehe, that’s what you get for leaving me alone today without coming to pick me up !!”
Said Frida with a smug smile on her face.
“ alright alright fine you win, now would you please get off of me ? People might get the wrong idea.”

I said to Frida.
Frida suddenly looked at herself and me and noticed the position she was in. Her face turned red as she realised how this all looked and she quickly got up and offered her hand to help me get up as well.
Laying there on the ground I looked up to her as she extended her hands to me with a gentle smile on her face. I grabbed her hands and unlike the unusual coldness of this asphalt in winter they were warm.
Using her soft small hands I got up and I cleaned my clothes from all the dust, I looked over to Frida and I told her we should get going before we’re too late to school.
“OOOH YEAH RIGHT SCHOOL !!”
Said Frida.
We walked together for the rest of the way to school as we talked to each other.
Frida was the only friend I’ve had since I got admitted to school, she was basically the most popular girl there. There wasn’t a single person in our school who didn’t like her and was friends with her, when I asked her why she wanted to make so many friends she sarcastically said.
“ I just gotta catch them all you know ?”
The only reason I think she became friends with me was that we’re neighbours, but I didn’t really mind that. Being with her made me feel nice and I don’t mind it since I’m so used to solitude already.
We got to school and we were just right on time as class had started.
I sat in the back row near the window meanwhile she sat in the middle row where she could talk with everything.
The day went by very normally just like the usual, in school me and Frida don’t really talk together and I just solely focus on reading my book.
The bell rang one last time signalling that the day in school has ended.
“ hey dimwit, come with me, I don’t want to wait for you too much today as well.”
I said to Frida as she was chatting with a group of friends.
“Oh yeah sorry, I’ll be there right now !”
She packed her stuff and we both got ready to go out together.
We walked down the stairs as she started to tell me all about her new male friend that she recently got, she really tried hard for that one. It’s like someone who was trying so hard to get a rare Pokémon and finally succeeding.
But our fun times talking together and walking back home normally like everyday didn’t last for long....
*BOOM*
A loud explosion noise was heard from the sky as it made both me and Frida fall onto the ground. Instinctively i covered Frida with my own body in fear of her getting hurt, luckily for us no one got injured and I helped her get back up.
“Wh...what was that Pam...?”
“I... I honestly don’t know”
“ Pam I’m scared, what if something Bad happened...”
“ it’s okay, I’m here.”
“p..... Pam.”
“yes ?”
“ Look up....”
“ What do you-“
I said as my words got cut short.
The scene I witnessed in that day was a scene I would never forget for the rest of my life. That day was the end of my normal days on this earth.
I looked up to the broken sky only to see it ripped in half, the sky was bloody red with pitch black in the middle of it. Blood was seeping everywhere from the rupture that was in the sky. It seemed as someone had forcefully cleaved the sky in half using a sword or something. But.....can anyone even do that ?

The Ginsu Mage
Currently in queue: Episode 13 in progress. Set in the Aurora: Apocalypse universe.Updated every Friday. If it's not updating, I'm working on my other fictions. If nothing's updating, I ran out of whiskey. Be patient. The Gunsu Mage is a hot mess of garbage that should not be taken seriously by anyone. It’s a vaguely-GameLit spoof of Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomoni (In Another World With My Smartphone) where the MC ends up in another world and fused with his kitchen applicances, mashed up with fantasy western elements. Dungeons & Dragons meets the Wild West in an alternate high-fantasy timeline. Guns & Goblins. Cowboys & Wizards. Locomotives & Dwarves. Don’t expect great writing, accurate numbers, or common sense. Hell, don’t expect anything — just relax and let it happen.

All the while, there are whispers of a greater and more ancient power coming to life. A power Brenn’s wife knows more about than she wants to let on. It’s a good thing Brenn is used to fighting. CW: Contains mildly graphic scenes of violence/death, topics of unwanted pregnancy/abortion, scientific experimentation on sapient beings, depression/suicide, grief, and trauma. The tone of this fiction is often dark and distinctly dystopian in lighter shades of Margaret Atwood, though where there is darkness there is always hope and light. On Hiatus Until September When the School Year Begins and Mom This story takes a considerable amount of time and mental energy to complete. I thought I had enough backlog and time to post it as a serial while COVID kept my child home from school, but it turns out while I can quickly write other pieces, I cannot produce the quality I need with this one at an acceptable rate. We'll resume in September when my days are much freer. Thank you for your patience and stay tuned for a different storytelling romp more suited for a serial platform in the meantime.
