While they were backtracking their path back to their campsite, Falkner's condition was getting better as they left the canyon.

Pidgey and Beautifly flew in the air, being on the lookout for immediate threat. At the same time, Torchic is guarding the rear against any ambush from wild predators.

The fresh air near the periphery of the lake seems to help him refresh his spirit after his near-death encounter.

"Sorry to ask this late, but I didn't get your names before."

"I'm Rosa, and this is Edward. We have been working together since we came to the island."

Rosa replied while pointing to Edward, who was leading the way.

At the front of the group, Edward was clearing the path amidst the overgrown vegetation, heard their conversation, and nodded in greetings.

"Edward, I've heard about you guys from my live stream. All of them are talking about your accomplishment. I guess many of us wouldn't even dare to try working together with them. You're a role model for many contestants surviving on the island."

Falkner uttered while looking at his Pidgey flying freely in the sky, reminiscing about his fated meeting with the bird Pokemon.

"By the way, you already tamed three of them?"

At first, when he tamed Pidgey as his partner, he was quite proud because he managed to do the same accomplishment as Edward did. Even many of his spectators on his live stream are rooting for his success.

It was this feeling that led him to underestimate the danger level of the island. Even his partner Pidgey nearly got implicated because of his error.

"That's right. You already know Torchic and Beautifly. There's another one back at the camp, Timburr."

Edward said, pointing at the figure of Torchic and Beautifly, respectively.

When he heard Torchic and Beautifly's names, he felt that the name matched their personality very well.

"Timburr?"

"It's our new companion Edward tamed last time. It stayed behind to guard our campsite. Despite its brute appearance, its personality is quite amiable.

Rosa explained with a smile.

With that being said, the three of them have reached the vicinity of the lake.

Although they didn't explore the caves today, the journey back to the camp took almost a whole evening.

"We may not have the time to explore the caves today. Let's rest tonight and explore them tomorrow."

Edward remarked about the time of the day.

The sun was setting below the horizon. Its glow reflected on the lake paints a dazzling color on the landscape.

Occasionally, a fish can be seen jumping out of the lake. In addition, many Pokemon are lounging and playing by the lake. All of it made a picturesque scene.

"Wow! What a beautiful place."

Falkner stared at the scenery of the lake, spellbound.

After enjoying the stunning view of the lake, they decided to stroll around the lake before heading back to the camp.

"Falkner. Did you see the beasts that were causing that massive disturbance in the canyon just now?"

Edward suddenly remembered their purpose for exploring the canyon before forgetting about it due to Falkner's situation.

"Well, I was near the scene where the two creatures fought, but I couldn't see it because I was focusing on finding a water source before escaping the ruckus. And I passed out after being hit by the aftermath of their attacks."

Falkner shook his head.

Although he was close to the scene, he couldn't even get a small glimpse of their appearance.

"That's a pity."

Edward is curious about which Pokemon were fighting before.

The three of them strolled through the woods by the lake. There were quite a few Pokemon still hiding among the trees as they hadn't recovered from Hydreigon's bellow.

"There are so many fruit trees here! I haven't seen any edible plants back in the canyon. And, these wild mushrooms are edible too."

Falkner said while collecting the mushroom growing on the trees.

"You know about these things?"

Rosa asked, surprised.

"Yes, I ate this kind of food often. So, I learned to recognize all edible kinds of wild vegetation."

"That's great! We can add these to our regular meals."

Rosa said excitedly.

Edward shook his head after listening to them talking animatedly about food.

On their way back, Edward started writing on a small note that he had taken out from his bag. It is filled with the training plan he had bought from the store while making some adjustments to it. He planned to take Pokemon for special training at night to familiarize them with their ability.

Soon, a log cabin appeared in their view.
