The temperature of the flame expelled by Torchic is exceptionally high. They can feel the intense heat despite standing a few meters away from it.
Rosa hurriedly backed further away after feeling a stinging pain on her skin.
Meanwhile, Edward watched the situation intently. He found that the Torchic's level is rapidly rising through the system's scan.

Torchic seemed to be releasing the extra energy that it couldn't assimilate fully. Then it gradually reduced his outburst after realizing that the situation was nearly out of control.

This made them exhale in relief after nearly getting roasted alive.
"Edward, what happened to Torchic?"
Rosa looked worried.
"It should be fine. I believe it ate a precious herb and made it stronger. Furthermore, the incident likely happened because it couldn't control the rich energy contained in that herb."
Edward theorized.
After Edward stated his opinion, everyone was shocked.
[Torchic was quite scary just now. I can feel the heat through the camera.]

Accompanying rising a star of the Long-Riders, Captain Luke, as his Shield Maiden, unaware of the spiraling events that will change her life, and possibly end it. (This is my first novel, though the idea for it has been in the back of my mind for years, This is my attempt to put it to paper. Looking forward to any constructive criticism, however, i already have in mind, the entire plot and tone of the story, any revisions based on feedback will likely only be considered upon completion. As of now starting out, i haven't really settled on a timeline for regular updates But I aiming for at least two chapters a week at about 2000 words each. I will promise at least one chapter of that size at least once a week, until completion. I'm rather determined to put this story on paper ( or web page i guess).

First earthquakes, then bolts fell from the sky, changing and twisting the things they hit. Steven, stuck in the throes of apathy, had sought shelter out of boredom more than anything else. But when some fellow survivors are separated and trapped by a rampaging moose, an emotion breaks through his apathy. He can’t turn away. Some people say it’s everyone for themselves at the end of the world. Steven disagreed ~<>~<>~ Will update every Sunday and Tuesday at 9:00am, unless the chapter is beefy, then we'll just have one that week. For some more meta details about this story, it’s a LitRPG Apocalypse with a focus on abilities and how they are used over stats and numbers. It will have group progression, a non-overpowered protagonist, and a focus on unique and interesting classes. No overwhelming advantages for the main crew or broken cheat skills. No harem, some amount of gore, decent levels of profanity.
