“Woof! Woof!” the angry large dog barked once more, staring at its prey.

But the cat didn't look scared. On the contrary, the animal looked happy and excited.

Unexpectedly, Poonkey ran up to the dog and started to give it some scritches, saying “Meow! Meow!” soothingly. This made the said dog confused. The animal looked as if it wanted to say. What's coming off?! How a simple cat can give me scritches?!

Suddenly the cat tried to jump atop of the dog. But it failed. The dog was too large for Poonkey.

“Meow! Meow!” He complained.

Poonkey extended its claws to help to himself to climb upon his future mount.

In the next moment the dog yelped. It experienced pain! The cat's claws were sharp! Immediately the animal became angry. The dog barked and attacked Poonkey, who managed to say in surprise. “Meow?!”

The following battle was short but very bloody. The great spirit in a cat's body was brave, but it wasn't enough to win against the dog. As a result, the cat was defeated and its body turned into a black smoke that started to move up.

The great spirit was free now. Soon he would return to his peers.

Meanwhile. In the inn

A group of inquisitors came in the inn, where Nameless rested right now. Lidia was among the inquisitors in her new green robe. Three holy words “Greatness”, “Handsomeness”, and “Smartness” shined on the finest fabric.

They are afraid of us, she realized instantly when had looked at the visitors in the inn.

Such reaction disappointed her, because only mutants must afraid the Inquisition!

Lidia was raised in the church and knew the truth. natus_vincat is a good, merciful god who had created the entire world. Vahrun is an evil, envious deity who wants to steal their world from their lord's hands and makes everyone to suffer.

Lidia knew that she couldn't allow it to happen. Thus in the past the woman had joined the Inquisition with happiness.

Only fire can save a corrupted soul! Her teachers often repeated this and, as a good student, Lidia did as it was said, helping to free pure souls from the corrupted and ugly bodies of mutants.

Lidia saw many strange, terrible, or unexpected things as a member of inquisition's team. For instance, recently her team had come across with a cat who had a mark of a great sinner. That was outrages!

Just a cat! A mere animal! But it has already done something so terrible that our mighty god has marked him personally! Lidia thought in anger at that moment when she had seen that evil animal the first time.

It was natural that her team tried to punish that cat, but it hypnotized them all and ran away.

In the inn Alba said. “Woof! The blasphemer is here! Woof!”

She pointed upstairs. "Woof! I smell his scent! Woof!"

Lidia didn't like Alba, because she was a filthy mutant, but Lidia knew that Alba was useful.

At least that mutant is on the right path and serves our great Lord well.

Some members of team “Yuri-Alfa” headed upstairs while others went out to surround the inn.

We can't allow the blasphemer to escape! Lidia nodded, observing what her teammates were doing.

Quickly the inquisitors had reached the room where a blasphemer was. The captain nodded, standing next to the door, and in the next moment the said door was broken down. Several inquisitors stormed in. Immediately Lidia heard a frightened scream and one of the inquisitors was kicked by the blasphemer. As a result, that inquisitor fell down miserably.

In the next second their target jumped out from the window and ran down the street quickly.

“After him!” their captain barked an order.

Nameless. At the street of Turera

Nameless was scared. He had a nightmare. He ran in some kind of a labyrinth, looking for an exit, while the giant cat chased him, saying “Meow! Meow!” from behind.

The human knew that that cat was Poonkey. He has come to eat me alive!

Nameless ran and ran in a labyrinth. He couldn't find an exit. The man couldn't shake that giant cat off as well. It was scary!

Suddenly the man woke up and saw as some cloaked people stormed in his room. For a moment Nameless thought that those arms – which the inquisitors stretched to Nameless to capture him - were Poonkey's claws. Hence Nameless screamed in terror and kicked the nearest person with all his might. Then the man jumped on his foot and jumped out from the window. Nameless didn't think that it was the second floor or that it should be dangerous. He just jumped out from the window in a hope to save himself from Poonkey's sharp claws.

Now the human ran down the street as fast as possible, feeling that a little part of the god's energy had restored in his body.

He heard those whispers.

[Continue to run! The inquisitors are right behind you!]

[Surrender! It's time to pay for your mistakes!]

[Scream that mutants are in the city! Let's the folk panick! Perhaps, later you will manage to shake the inquisitors off!]

[Fight with the inquisitors!]

[I gift you!]*

Meanwhile. In the Turera

A mob – killing and looting – entered so-called “Trade District” where lived the richest merchants of Turera. In an hour all houses were burning. Many killed people lay on the streets and in their houses.

The mob left the district and moved further. This time forces of Church ambushed and annihilated the rebels. Only a small part of them had managed to escape a massacre.
