《War of the gods [Forum game]》Chapter 22. Do I really need to leave this city?

Nameless heard a whisper. [Leave. I advise you to flee immediately. Go as far away from this city as possible but be careful while leaving. I would suggest going in the opposite direction of the temple where you had found that saliva in. Find a trustworthy and safe community to take refuge in.]
I need to go! This city is very dangerous place to stay! The man had seen that bloodthirsty mob and dead bodies at the streets. He hadn't a wish to be robbed and killed. Thus, he stood up and hurried to the window. That damn cat can be somewhere around! I need to be careful! But I haven't time for this!
The human jumped out of the window and looked around. Now he felt conflicted. The man knew that he must flee the city right away, but – at the same time – he needed to go in the opposite direction of that temple, where Nameless had stolen that flask. Nameless was the first time in this city and knew only about one exit - that gate that he had passed through to enter Turera today. The man didn't know where could be another gates and how much time he would waste looking for them. Hence, the human had decided to go to the gate that he knew.
Nameless headed down the street in a hurry.
I need to be careful! He reminded to himself and looked around to see no one.
Currently the man was afraid to be spotted by a group of robbers or to hear that damn “Meow!” from behind his back.
Nameless didn't know that the cat followed him stealthily right now. The curious green eyes stared at the man's back.
Soon the man had reached the gate and saw that it was close. A group of soldiers guarded it. Besides, Nameless had noticed a cloaked man who stood aside from the soldiers. His green cloak looks so unusual.

Three familiar words - that the man had seen in the temple of the natus_vincat – were embroidered on his cloak. Is he a priest of that god? Um... he wears so fine clothes and his rings, as well as an amulet, looks expensive.
Nameless stared back at the close gate. I can't leave the city through this gate. Not good. What shall I do?!
In that moment a will of great spirits disappeared and the man became free.
Do I really need to leave this city? The human didn't believe those voices. He was suspicious. It's happening an unrest in Turera now. It can be dangerous to me to stay here. That's true. But why do the voices want me to leave this city?
He looked at the close gate. It seems I haven't a choice. The gate is close. I think other gates - if they are - are close and guarded as well. If I truly need to escape from Turera, I need to find another way. But I really need to do it?
The man turned around and walked in the city cautiously.
Someone can follow me, Nameless thought, thinking mostly about the black cat with green eyes. It's better to go the other way.
~~~~~~
Later five cloaked figures halted nearby the gate.
“He was here!” Alba said, pointing at the place where Nameless had stood. “I smell his scent here.”
“Good! Let's continue!” the captain gave a hand signal to his subordinate – who stood beside the gate – to stay where he was.
A team turned around and walked in the city. They didn't like what was coming off in Turera now, but they had a mission.
~~~~~~
Soon Nameless reached that part of the city that wasn't touched by an unrest. People even walked at the street here, but everyone looked tensed.

I guess they know what's happening in the city. At least some gossips shall have reached this place. Ah, damn... I need to rest.
The man heard those voices.
[Stay in this part of the city! Find an inn and take some rest at last!]
[Flee the city! Don't stop! Don't rest! Hurry up! Inquisitors are close!]
[Find an entrance to the sewer! You still have a chance to kill mutants!]
[Run down the street, screaming “Kill filthy mutants!”!]
[I gift Nameless*]
[I gift Poonkey*]
~~~~~~
Ebony Chitin - Adventures of The Hive is a story centered around a Hive mind bug elf, and her favorite human-dwarf mutt Richard. The story will shift perspectives between the two, as well as other members of the Hive. Follow along on their adventures for; the friends they make, the enemies they slay, and the questions they seek to answer. Thank you for reading, as always. ^.^ Afterword: Hello there everyone, and welcome back those that have already read the first story. If you are new, don't worry too much about the first step of the series. Truly, this second part aims to cover most of what was done there. Those that have read it will know a few secrets and plot points before we see them. Though it shouldn't detract from your reading of this one. Honestly, the first one was a bit rough, but do as you will. I will warn that this will tackle some serious topics and might end up getting rather explicit in terms of what is done or seen by the characters. There is a bit to cover, so I'll explain what I can between chapters without overloading anyone, hopefully. -Cover Art drawn by Cozie [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
But parenting? There was none. Yet a struggle nearly every member of the Races is not foreign to. I...must have lived under a rock. Across aeons no less. What a humbling revelation.
Greys II - Ghosts
There he stood, dark eyes, dark hair, beautiful in the most devastating of ways. It scared me how little he had changed, his hair was longer and black, his frame thinner, like he hadn't eaten since I last saw him. His eyes were different, lacking something they had always held before, lacking anything really, and yet he was the same. He looked weak, but I knew he wasn't. "Hi, angel."His voice was just as dead as his eyes. It sent a shiver up my spine. That was the reason I felt sick, that was the reason he seemed different. He was dead, and as much as I wanted to hate him, I was sad he was empty, sad he wasn't the same man anymore."Hello, Gabriel."My voice came out softer than I would have liked, the words burning my tongue. But it didn't matter, I got the desired effect even if the volume wasn't there. He flinched, his eyes widening, his eyebrows twitching up and together, his jaw setting for just a moment. But then it was gone and he looked away, death settling back in his eyes, in the lines of his face.» ✦ «#2 in Angel Romance#3 in Demonology#11 in Thriller#Mature, 18+ for all the reasons. Not a YA novel (again).**Due to disturbing themes, violence, depression, language and literally everything else, this is not for the kids. Ghosts is darker than Intentions. But you need to live in the dark to appreciate the light...or at least, the lighter grays 🖤🖤
