《The World Must Fall》Ch1 : No Shade Darker Than Black

On a beautiful, cool, summer day sat two lovebirds enjoying their date. They were situated underneath a massive oak tree, sitting face to face. The light coming through the leaves illuminated their eyes leaving for a beautiful scene. And oh the environment, how beautiful it was, with the billowing trees and gentle wind. Everything was perfect, as if God himself aligned everything just for today.
"Alex?", "Have I ever told you how beautiful your eyes are?", a beautiful airy voice said.
The person behind the voice was a gorgeous blonde, with bright blue eyes, perfect features, and a wide smile. It was safe to say she was a 10/10. She looked deeply into Alex's eyes. And for a moment she seemed lost.
This feeling was seemingly reciprocated as Alex replied, "I could say the same thing about you Alice". Alex quickly blew a kiss towards Alice making her blush and cover her eyes in the process.
Alice peeked through her hands, and hid again in embarrassment. Alice responded finally, "Stop Alex, you know my dad would kill you if heard you say that!". Alice continued, "But thanks", she said wryly clearly embarrassed.
Alex responded, "Clearly it seems you don't know how much I care for you.". As Alex was saying this he moved closer to Alice only stopping when he was an inch away.
Alice seemed to pick up on what was about to happen and closed her eyes while puckering her lips in response.
But sadly true loves kiss never came. Rather something more sinister took that spot instead.
A 12 in long butcher knife quickly flashed, decapitating it's target in the blink of an eye. The attack was quick, precise, and practiced. So much so that it was without flaw.
Alex started laughing obnoxiously "HAHAHAHAhaHaHA", this continued for a while until he got bored.
"Ahh, that bitch actually thought I liked her, how embarrassing"
"Ooh, I almost forgot the best part!", he said with a smile on his face. Alex reached down towards the body of Alice, and with a quick motion took a long lick of the blood pooling on the ground near her neck. Alex seemed a little annoyed at the taste of dirt mixed in with the crimson delight but smiled regardless.
"I must choose a better spot next time." Alex said with a squint forming on his brow.
"I better start the real work now." Alex said out loud to himself. Alex walked towards a basket next to him that seemed to contain food, yet with careful removal of the food he revealed several tools. The largest of the tools was a blue tarp that was tucked in a corner neatly.

Alex first picked up the tarp, then laid it out on the ground, he then proceeded to drag the body of Alice on the tarp. When her body was in the middle of the tarp he proceeded to roll the tarp over her, making a burrito in a sense.
Alex then looked next to food basket and saw the cooler he prepared earlier. With a brisk step, he opened it up to find several jars inside, horrifyingly enough each jar had a head of a different woman inside.
But Alex didn't open the cooler up to admire them, rather he pulled an empty jar out and shoved Alice's head in, he then poured in what looked like antifreeze closing the lid when he was finished. Putting the jar back in and closing the lid Alex finally smiled.
You see Alex had a thing for preserving bodies, he liked to eat their flesh as well as preserve the heads for trophies. Each head told a story, a monument to his actions, but most importantly, preserved their faces. He loved the emotions his trophies portrayed, he could look at them for hours.
With his work almost done Alex dragged the tarp down a nearby dirt path till he saw his truck, then with a trained motion he tossed the tarp in the back. Yet this time Alex stopped to admire his work, in the back of the truck were 6 more tarps stacked up.
As Alex turned to finish up he paused in his tracks. All the hair on his body stood up as he felt something terrible. He just realized that there was an odd one out of his collection, one was sitting up.
He knew this was impossible, he thoroughly disposed of them all. Yet one was sitting up.
Suddenly a deep yet potent voice echoed.
"Alex, my pal, I have got to say i'm impressed", "2436 total victims in your short life, that is impressive", "Could you imagine how much better you could do with real power? Alex do you want power? I'm giving you a chance here, don't let me down.".
Alex was lost in thought, his mind racing with 'who is this guy?', 'what does he want with me?', and 'how did he find out?'. It was clear as to why these were Alex's first thoughts, after all he was very meticulous. So much so he'd never even been noticed by the police in his 22 years of life. Yet his victims were, they called him the daylight hunter because all disappearances of the victims took place during the day. But obviously not all of his victims were found missing, the public only ever found 56 missing. And even then the evidence found was shoddy at best. The police only ever connected 10 missing-persons-cases towards the daylight hunter. This record alone showed how skillful he was

So obviously he was startled someone knew the exact amount.
"Alex, BUDDY, don't keep me waiting!", The echoing voice shouted.
Alex suddenly stopped his current thinking, clearly this person was beyond his abilities. So he took what the voice said seriously. 'do I want power?', Alex thought. Alex had glimpses to the many of times he almost got caught, he imagined with more power how much easier his life could've been. How much more harm he could've inflicted.
So Alex responded "I want enough power to make everyone grovel beneath me, I want enough power to slaughter, and most importantly I want enough power to watch the world burn", a massive smile formed on Alex's face. He was beaming with a horrible sense of lust, the thought alone put him on the edge. You could physically feel his blood lust.
"I knew you'd make a good choice", the voice said with audible delight.
___
Suddenly everything went black
Alex awoke to find he was suspended in darkness. Alex almost lost his cool, but he started getting lost in his earlier fantasy. When Alex closed his eyes in lust he noticed something in the corner of his vision. It looked like a menu-icon of sorts, something from a game.
Alex blinked thinking it was an eye-floater but it didn't go away. Looking at it more clearly it looked like a bag. Oddly enough when he really focused on it, something resembling a screen up. It was screen with a humanoid diagram, it resembled a character equipment screen, it what looked like an inventory next to it.
Alex never really played games, but to trick his victims he knew the bare minimum needed to understand what this was. And the thought scared him. He didn't know what this was, nor who gave it to him. He wondered how this whole thing was even possible, he had a very strong opinion on how the world worked, but this contracted with his views. However, Alex quickly accepted it, if he could praise any ability of humans it would be their ability to adapt.
The menu itself looked like old parchment paper trimmed with gold. Alex's sense of aesthetics thought it looked 'FRESH AS FUCK' ( sorry, not sorry )
Alex glanced around the menu and saw several tabs labeled accordingly, attribute, inventory, status and skill. Curious Alex clicked on the status tab to find it was highly detailed, it explained his condition in a deep way. He saw near the bottom a box was called { character-traits }, curious he looked at it carefully.
.....
{ character-traits }
Homicidal tendencies
Canabalistic tendencies
Intense hemophilia
Vengeful
Hateful
Careful
Spiteful
Resentful
Dismembering fetish
The list truly went on and on, and Alex almost felt proud, almost.
.....
After getting a pretty good idea of what the [ STATUS ] tab was Alex moved over to the [ SKILLS ] tab. To find two sections, one was labeled active, and the other passive. Only one section was blank, while the passive section had a few skills.
.....
{ PASSIVE SKILLS }
