Chapter 1

21st Century 2097 CE,

Billions of People all over the world were watching a Holographic Projection at the same time: while their hearts were beating slowly, and sweating all over their body because of the situation going on. The whole world was silent, it was so silent that it was chilling. Everyone's hearts were in their mouths irrespective of their age. Even newborns who were crying a few moments earlier stopped crying like they also know that something terrible is going to happen.

Chilling silence was broken by the sounds of explosions happening at that moment on the location from where the whole world was watching the Projection. It was like fireworks. Missiles were being fired one after another yet the being at the other end of the missiles was smiling like a devil, like when an adult sees children playing with their toys. That Stranger's smile sent chills to everybody watching the projection.

The reason for all this started a few years earlier when Nation U and Nation C were having a petty argument about ” Who Gets to Be the Boss of the Federation ”. Everybody started choosing their side, like children during this fight for supremacy; except for some neutral Nations.

Yet out of Nowhere something unexpected which shouldn't have happened; happened, an organization that has been famous for its terror activities took control of Nuclear warheads and their codes of Nation P and fired nuclear missiles toward an ally of Nation U. This event shocked every citizen to their core. A weapon which should have been the last option, or shouldn't have been used: started the War which will create Casualties exceeding a billion.

What no one expected, that the missiles fired by the organization were the start of a horrendous future: which no one could even imagine in their dreams, even worse than the consequences of a World War.

While in a hotel room in city L, a man who looked human but wasn't, renting this room. This room could've shamed even the most luxurious rooms on Earth. This room was decorated with so much Gold that it would've even made ancient Indian kings feel jealous of the room. Anyone who has spent a day or a night in this hotel can vouch that this room wasn't decorated by the hotel staff. No one was allowed entry into the room. The man who rented the room looked fat, he had white skin, black hair, and black eyes. That man was named Nico. Nico was an alien in human terms. Nico's body was also covered with gold and gem necklaces.

Nico was resting in his hotel room, listening to the news of the tensions between Nations while Laughing and scoffing, "How stupid do you have to be to fight or talk about supremacy, when you don't even know anything about the Galaxy you live in? These Barbarians disgust me. If it wasn't for my injury I would never live in this shit hole."

Suddenly, Nico heard the sound of an explosion, even before the shockwaves of the explosion could affect Nico, there was another explosion, this time Nico was at the center of the explosion still, the explosions didn't stop it continued for some ten to fifteen seconds. After the explosion ended, everything around hundred miles vanished like nothing ever existed in that area. This wasn't even the strongest missile mankind had and yet millions upon millions of Innocents were pulverized. This was the horror of the War.

The man who was just mocking Human civilization didn't even get the chance to save himself. He died in the land, he was just calling shit hole. He struggled for his survival yet he could only extend the time of his death. Nico remembered his only Friend, who was very stronger than him yet he never mocked him, he was always there for him. A smile came out on his face just by remembering his friend, even though he was dying. Smile only left his face, when his existence was erased from the world.

Nico's last thoughts before his death were, "Sorry Grey, I'll be leaving you first. I am sorry, I wouldn't be there to see your ascendance."

What world forget about the War because there wasn't any major War in the 21st century, this attack made them remember from where they've come, what their ancestor's faced to achieve the peace they enjoy. Everything they enjoy came after their ancestor's struggle. The world couldn't calm down after the attack, candle marches were announced all over the world in solidarity with the dead, different forums discussions on the internet were happening around the globe, the whole world was condemning Nation P for their incompetence of security.

Yet, this was just the start of a horror story what we call 'War'. City L was a city of Nation A. How can Nation A not avenge their fallen citizens? Nation A army marched toward Nation P and razed them to the ground. It just took three days for Nation A to destroy Nation P and, hence it started the Third World War.

Somewhere in the Universe,

Mark was meditating, when he suddenly heard a cracking sound. When he found the source of the sound his face went pale like someone has sucked all his blood. His legs started shaking and he fell to the ground because he couldn't standstill. He urinated due to the fear he was feeling right now, his heartbeat couldn't slow down no matter what. He couldn't sit still because the news was important even though he knew what's gonna happen to him after telling the news. The cracking sound occurred at the same time Nico died.

Grey was having sex with one of his students in his room when somebody knocked on his room. Grey became angry due to the disturbance during his enjoyment and shouted, "Who dares to knock at my room at this time? If there isn't any important thing to tell, you'll wish to die."

Mark’s legs were already shaking but after hearing Grey's warning blood spurted out of his mouth. Mark spoke in a shaking voice, "O honorable Leader! I come with bad news related to honorable Nico."

After hearing Nico's name, Grey slapped the girl who was playing with his private part, while having a fawning expression on her face down to the ground, the girl didn’t even dare to make a sound, Grey stood up and rushed to the door and opened the door naked.

Grey could smell a weird smell but he didn't care, he took hold of Mark's neck and picked him up from the ground, and asked him while shouting, "What happened to Nico?"

"O honorable one! I was patrolling around the hall where the blood crystal of everyone was put. I suddenly heard a cracking sound and when I checked the source, honorable Nico's blood crystal was destroyed and turned into powder." Mark didn't dare to lie and told Grey everything.

Grey fell to the ground after hearing the news of Nico's death releasing Mark in the process. Mark also fell, but he didn't dare make a sound or tried to stand up.

Grey was crushed, after hearing the news. Grey felt that someone has ripped out his heart. Tears of blood started coming out of his eye. Grey tried to stand up but he fell, Mark tried to give him a hand, but Grey just glared at him. Mark took back his hand because of the fear.

Grey started remembering Nico and thinking about him, "How, they both were orphans, how Nico forced him to start training, how Nico will always joke with him, how Nico never left him even though he acts like a devil."

While thinking about Nico, something hit his mind, and started shouting, "Why did you die, Nico? You promised me You'll never leave me. Now, who would I save gold for? Who will tell me to be strong? Who'll be my friend now?"

Grey’s face became expressionless after he calmed himself down. Grey looked at Mark and didn’t say anything. The silence was suffocating for Mark, silence was broken when the girl coughed, who was in Grey’s room. Grey looked at her and reached in front of her and crushed her head by slapping her.

“Who did this?” Grey asked,

Mark answered, “I don’t know honorable one...

Mark couldn’t continue speaking as Grey crushed his head before he could speak anymore.

Grey used a technique to see his last 5 seconds so he could find his location. What Grey saw was unbelievable for him. He couldn’t believe how an intermediate level 2 being can be killed in a Grade 1 Planet. Grey also saw the smile on Nico’s face when he was dying. This smile will haunt Grey forever. This smile made Grey’s calm emotion rise like ocean waves.

Grey made a vow on the powder of Nico’s blood crystal, “I’ll only grieve for you after I’ve taken revenge for you.”

He started searching for the planet where Nico was killed. It took him 17 years to find Earth.

Planet Earth,

The War took place over 14 years. It has been 3 years since the war ended. Human Technology has been developed to such an extent, that it only took us 2 years to come back to the point we were at before the start of the War. Dead Soldier counts on both sides exceeded millions. More than a billion civilians were killed. More than 20 Nations were erased from the World Map.

Humans were preparing for a better future when suddenly Earth welcomed an overpowered being whose power was beyond the scope of human knowledge.

Grey finally found the world where his friend was killed. Grey was expressionless when he entered Earth’s atmosphere, yet anyone could see a hint of ruthlessness in Grey’s eye.

When Grey tried to enter the planet, he was being rejected by the World's rules. Grey forced his way through. No one noticed this unknown entry, despite satellites being there to cover every single corner of the world. It was like he never entered.

Grey entered City L where Nico was killed. He didn’t try to find the remains of Nico as he had already seen Nico’s pulverization.

Grey’s face still held no expression which if anyone looks at Grey, they’ll be more scared.

In place of city L, there were barren lands around 100 miles. Grey released his pressure.

Earth couldn't handle the pressure released by Grey. It had to give in to the pressure. Ocean Waves started rising so high that people couldn't believe it. Earthquakes started happening all around the world. It looked like the end of the world.

People were afraid but they were safe due to the development of technology. Everyone had safe bunkers because Humanity faced the same situation in 2039 because of Natural Disasters.

While everyone was fearing the natural disaster, the whole world got an alert that sent chills to their spine.

Every single person got an alert about the destruction of Nation A at the same time. Civilians started fearing another War, but they didn’t know that they were facing something which, they would’ve preferred another War over.

Everyone connected their watch to the network to see what was happening. In 2051 AI watches were introduced to the masses. The Federation developed the watch to ensure every single person is connected to the world.

A Holographic Projection was projected in front of everybody. Everyone could see how a being who looked the same as them destroyed Nation A by raising the temperature so high that everyone and everything started melting and then finally evaporated. Everyone was dumbfounded and horrified at the same time.

Many of the population died due to heart attack because of the fear, many urinated in their pants, many felt unconscious. Everyone felt like they were naked in zero degrees.

The Federation commenced a meeting of the strongest 10 nations and started making plans for the counterattack. Every Nation leader agreed to attack Grey with nukes. When suddenly Nation C leader asked about what should be plan B. No leader could come up with plan B. Nukes were the strongest weapon mankind had. If Plan A didn't work then Mankind could do nothing.

The plan was commenced. The closest Nation fired the missile. Yet there wasn't even a single scratch on Grey. Everyone was horrified, the blood drained from their faces.

So Nations decided to go all out. Missiles were being fired one after another yet Grey was fine.

Grey who was expressionless finally grinned, a smile came on his face after seeing the futile struggle of mankind. The whole world population was stunned to see Grey fine even after being at the other end of the nukes attack, Everyone’s eyes lost their luster after seeing Grey’s smile. Many stayed brave even after this, but they were in the minority of the world’s population. The majority has lost all hope, they knew Grey wasn’t a human, but what they imagined in reality.

Grey was enjoying the struggle of mankind, but his emotions were also going berserk, the longer he stayed on this shit hole. Grey decided to end it all by raising the temperature so high that everything started melting.

A mother who has just given birth was crying, because she will never get to spend time with her son, for whom she spent 9 months in labor.

A Father who has never cried and was always strict with his daughter couldn't stop crying, tears were coming nonstop from his eyes. He never got to tell his daughter how much she means to him.

A Son who has never talked nicely with his parents was devastated because he will never get to see his parents and tell them how much he loves them.

A Couple who has just recently married couldn't believe it. The wife was crying, the husband just closed the projection and hugged his wife.

A Daughter who was raised by her single father because her mother died of an accident, was horrified by the feeling of her father's death, who loves her unconditionally.

A Brother couldn't cope with the fact that his sister who he raised from birth because of their horrible parents, wouldn't be able to see her marriage.

A 2-year-old Daughter who hasn't seen her parents for 2 years and couldn't remember seeing her father because of his duties will never get to see her father anymore. A wife who hasn't seen her husband, parents who haven't seen their son for 2 years will never get to see him again.

Some were crying for their pets, while some were crying because of fear of death.

Different relationships all over the world. Different situations all over the world. Yet one thing was common, which was tears. Tears dried out due to the temperature rise.

No one could believe what just happened. They were hoping for a better future a few moments earlier yet now there won't be a future for them.

Grey was laughing loudly and shouted, “I avenged you, Nico, I killed every one of this kind for you, Nico.”

It just took Grey a few moments to destroy a Civilisation that has survived by countering countless obstacles.

After killing every living being, Grey destroyed the Earth. Earth was only a Grade 1 Planet, yet it took every ounce of Grey’s energy to destroy the Earth.

At 5:17 PM on 17 December 2097 came the end of Earth and everybody at that moment living on it.

Earth was different from organisms living in it, as Earth is a mass of World energy. Earth's consciousness was dying after the destruction of the planet. It will only survive for a few decades.

After destroying Earth, Grey took a return journey back to his planet. It took him 21 years to return as he had used all his energy reserves on destroying the planet.

The Planet Grey residing in was named Fackus.

After returning to Fackus, Grey announced a funeral for Nico. Grey was part of one of the strongest organizations on Fackus. Many people came and mourned for Nico to give a face to Grey.

The Funeral took Place over 13 days, Grey cried for all 13 days for Nico.

After Funeral Grey announced that he would start a life and death penance for his breakthrough.

This penance took 6 years. He finally got a breakthrough and became an initial Level 4 being which was above the limit of Fackus. So he ascended.

That smile of Nico still haunts him, whenever he remembers that smile his heart breaks into pieces.

The same moment he ascended was the same moment when Dev was returning to his home planet after 29 years. He will finally see his family and his newborn daughter, who was born 29 years ago.

What Dev didn't know was that he was the last of his kind. He was the only hope. If humanity was ever to be reborn.

What will Dev's actions be as he finds out the truth?
