《DEAD MAN'S JOURNEY》CHAPTER - 11

I looked at the marble ceiling.
I had a weird dream.
I was lying on a fluffy cloud with white fog all around. My body soon started healing as I no longer felt the fatigue.
"Am I cursed?"
I muttered but shook that possibility. Getting up from the huge bed, I stood up.
"Haa!"
Yawning, I stretched my arms and legs. Then I took off my clothes to take a bath.
I have to say, my body is pretty ripped with enough muscles.
I had a V-shaped body. Only now did I know that I could be this good.
Walking in the bathroom, I looked at a mirror joined on the wall.
"I don't have a beard…"
I rubbed my chin and nodded.
The Palace as usual, was a magical place which read my mind.
Did I already talk about it?
The bathroom was very modern, I didn't feel like I was living in a different world.
* * *
After everything, I walked down the stairs towards the front hall.
*Bam*
The scepter made contact with the marble floor as a loud sound echoed.
"My King!"
Adam and Eve came not long. They bowed their heads to me.
I didn't say anything as I walked outside, behind me were Adam and Eve who followed.
"I will see your progress with the magic in some time. While I am away, teach the Nobles how to use magic."
My sentence made them bow again, they were already ready for any work.
I held the scepter tightly, the energy in me focused on my palms.
*Boom*
The scepter as the medium, the energy in me left through it as wind.
I flew up in the sky so fast that shockwaves formed at where I once stood.
Adam and Eve were unable to utter a word due to the shock.
'So fast!'
Their eyes tried to follow me but just couldn't keep up.
This was a clear difference between their powers.
I looked down from the sky and saw the mountains. There were many water sources between the mountains.
This will be my hunting spot, many animals should be coming here to drink water.
I activated my thermal vision and looked at the lake below me.
It was quite big in size.
Thousands of small fishes, a few big ones, and then a huge hot burning body.
Just from my thermal vision I could tell that it had to be a monster.
Its size will be almost seven to eight times my own body.
It's a little weird in shape. It had a long body part like a neck or so which is connected to the main body.
From all I see is a huge ball of red glowing object connected to a long pipe enough to swallow a human.
Even though I had the black magical gloves, my abilities were not sufficient because of my mind.
I am not a genius.
But if I use all of what I can from my brain, I can think of a plan to kill it.
*Thud*
I slowly landed near the lake and looked at it with normal vision.
One can not guess that a monster was hiding in it from the looks.
The lake was very calm with only a few small ripples formed by small fishes.
"It's better to electrocute the whole lake."
I walked towards the lake as I activated the thermal vision to check on the monster.
It was currently lying inside, curled up but its head was almost on the surface.
I had come to the opposite side of where the monster's head is.
I put the end of my scepter in the water and took a deep breath.
"Die…"
*Boom*
The lake showed signs of boiling as white sparks flew around on the water surface.
*Splash*
A huge wave of water splashed as a figure emerged out of the water.
With a long neck and a wide open mouth, it stared down at me.
I could now tell what it looked like.
A very long neck like the elasmosaurus, a head like the anglerfish with a bigger mouth.
The body was like that of a tortoise with a hard shell.
It is scary… for sure!
It let out a shrill cry almost making my ears bleed. The blood vessels on my forehead expanded.
"Ahhhh!"
It was so annoying. I couldn't feel the pain, but I couldn't hear as well.
With a frown on my face, I wanted to retreat but the monster did not give me a chance.
Its neck, which was pulled back, shot like an arrow at me.
The sharp teeth of this mouth should be on the same side of my arm.
No!
I jumped on my right and rolled to avoid getting bit by the monster.
*Bam*
Its head slammed on the ground as dirt flew around and mixed with water to form mud.
I held out my scepter and shot another bolt of lighting.
*Boom*
The lighting hit on its neck leaving a black mark on the skin.

It let out another shrill cry, this time the effects were much stronger.
I felt my head spin a little as all I could hear was the ringing.
*Boom*
Because I was unable to think and hear probably, I misjudged and got hit by the monster.
Its head is so hard that it could compete with metal.
"Damn!"
I crashed into a tree and broke it.
Lucky for me, my body was not normal anymore or it would have definitely broken my spine.
Blood had accumulated in my mouth which I spit it out on the ground.
Lighting wasn't doing any damage to the monster so I must quickly come up with a new plan.
'But why must I fight it now? I should go back now and come back later with some ideas!'
I stood up from the ground and looked at the monster who opened its mouth and cried again.
"Fuck!"
Now my head spinned round and round, I lost my balance and fell on the ground.
*Boom*
The monster attacked me again and this time it was successful in biting me.
A crater was formed on the ground I was lying on.
"You! Leave me!"
The monster had his teeth on my body, blood flowed out like a river.
Thankfully I managed to grab the scepter in time.
"Take this!"
I pierced the scepter in the monster's eye as a white light glowed.
*Boom*
The lighting took both me and the monster.
*Bam*
My body fell on the ground heavily as the monster had its grip loose on me.
It was writhing in agony.
*Splash*
Its body was splashing water all round while it was bleeding from one eye.
"Hehe! Freeze!"
I held the scepter and put it in the water.
The entire lake started freezing as ice slowly covered the surface.
The monster was completely frozen in the ice.
But its single eye moved and glared at me.
*Crack*
The ice on its body showed many small cracks and then shattered to fragments.
"Just fucking die!"
I held out my scepter and white-blue balls of flame appeared.
*Boom*
I fired all of these at the monster who seemed to be almost unkillable.
The white-blue flames being extremely hot, burned the skin where it hit.
But because there was water as well as ice, the fire couldn't show its power.
Yet the monster showed no signs of stopping, it tried to slam its hard head on my body.
*Bam*
I rolled on the side and avoided becoming a mashed potato on the ground.
"Go to hell!"
White-blue flames bursted out of the scepter and covered the monster's head.
Its painful cries sounded like music to me.
"Hahah! Does it hurt! Sadly I don't understand you!"
I laughed at its cries as I stood up with the support of the scepter.
"Burn more! More!"
I rapidly shot tens of fire balls at the monster. I didn't care even if I might get exhausted.
I must kill it!
Now!
Here!
Right at this moment!
"Die, monster!"
Its head was now black as most of its skin was burned into crisps.
Cracks appeared on its head with the flesh coming out together with lots of green blood.
*Splash*
It went in the water but as soon as it did, it regretted the whole idea.
The pain which arrived after a burned body gets in the water full of ice, made the monster shake violently.
Its blood had dyed the entire lake green. Some flesh floated on the water surface.
"Feel the pain!"
I shouted at the monster as the scepter in my hand touched the water again.
*Boom*
A loud thunder roared echoed in the forest, birds flew away in startelement.
*Zzz*
White electric sparks flew on top of the lake as the monster's body twitched.
It had died with the powerful lighting. The exposed flesh and blood just added fuel to it.
"Ha…Ha…Ha…"
I was panting on the ground, my mouth couldn't close as I was really tired.
"Damn… monster!"
I cursed the dead water monster as I kneeled on the ground.
Before my eyes was the monster body sinking in the water.
"Hahaha! See that! That's what you get after messing with me!"
It was clearly him who provoked the monster. But well, it's dead now.
"I should rest for some time…"
I took a deel breath and stood up. I held the scepter and turned around but the…
*Stab*
A red hand with long finger nails pierced my stomach as blood spilled around.
I stared at the figure in front of me with wide open eyes.
"Keke!"
It laughed and threw me to the side. I couldn't hold the scepter tight as it flew away from me.
'Fuck!'
I cursed!
