《DEAD MAN'S JOURNEY》CHAPTER - 8

I stared at the two who sat opposite to each other.
"Don't forget to practice your magic."
I said to Adam and Eve as they nodded their heads.
Holding the scepter with my right hand, I walked towards my bedroom.
Adam and Eve then cleaned the table and washed the plates.
It was time for me to digest the meat and get a good amount of rest.
I have many problems which I need to think of.
First came my limited energy.
I can only create two humans at a single time.
How can I increase the flow of energy in my blood vessels?
Cultivation, was that what Chinese do?
Meditation should be the right answer I think.
I must control my own body to control something outside.
* * *
In the bedroom, I laid my body as my stomach faced the marble ceiling.
"Fuu…"
I closed my eyes and concentrated.
And to let others know, I spent half an hour strolling around the top floor after lunch.
It's good for your health.
I focused my energy and felt it flow in my blood vessels slowly.
There are multiple points when this energy inside me struggles to flow.
Those areas in me are the damaged parts which I remember perfectly.
My heart, lungs, stomach, left thigh, lower right leg and the toes.
Those were the parts where I suffered very serious injuries.
I breathed slowly and steadily to feel more of such areas in my body.
But I found none. Instead, I saw a unique site.
No, the word 'feel' fits much better.
I was feeling the energy around me which connected with me.
As I inhale, I take in the energy with the air.
As I exhale, with the air comes out the unused energy.
I learned a new thing!
Let's add meditation to my morning schedule.
I concentrated and put some pressure on the energy and made it flow faster.
But it would hit the damaged parts and slow down once again.
From what I can feel, the energy is helping in the repair of those damages.
Still, it might take more than a few years to completely heal them internally.
What I need is to force and let the energy flow faster in my body.
It will increase the speed at which the energy is healing those parts.
Yet not enough…
I opened my eyes and looked around. My body continued to feel the energy in the surroundings.

'What if I directly use this energy to heal myself instead of using the energy in me?'
'I might be able to grow stronger in just a short period of time.'
I activated my thermal vision and looked at my left hand fingers.
These fingers also broke one time in the past so the energy flowing in them was struggling.
I can see with the thermal vision that some parts of my fingers and the joints were not that red in color.
There was even black color if I checked it closely. A bad sign, guaranteed.
"Fuu…"
The energy in me glowed in multi-color similar to the ones outside in the air.
I let all my thoughts out and only concentrated to feel the energy outside.
The energy outside slowly moved towards my fingers and gathered at the damaged areas.
'Yes!'
I had a smile on my face. But, I could barely see any difference in my fingers.
"Don't lose hope! It will take time!"
I encouraged myself and continued to gather the energy outside.
Time went by in a wink of an eye.
It was already evening and the sun was about to set between the huge mountains.
"Ha… Ha…!"
I was tired. All the hard work and the results was something which can barely be seen.
Still better than waiting for years.
Now that I think, Adam and Eve had the most perfect bodies.
They should already be able to control the energy within them.
I picked the scepter and walked down the stairs. My footsteps echoed in the entire Palace.
*Bam*
I hit the scepter on the cold marble floor in the front Hall of the Palace.
Soon, Adam and Eve came towards me.
"My King!"
They bowed while I nodded and walked towards the entrance of the Palace.
"What did you learn from the practice you did?"
I asked them without turning back and looked at the garden on the left and right side of the path.
There were trees in the garden and the short grass as if newly cut.
The path in the middle was also made of white marbles.
Two huge tall towers beyond the gardens which were surrounded by walls.
The wall is also made of white and dark marbles.
'Just how did the Emperor think of doing this?'
I stopped on my steps and Adam answered by question first.

"My King. When I concentrated deeply, I learned that my body was like a canal for the energy which flows in me."
"I can make it flow faster if I am focused enough. When the flow of energy in my body is without any barricades, I can use magic easily."
Listening to Adam, I was not surprised that they had already found it out.
Because I was there to let them practice and learn.
But no one was there for me when I came in this Wonder.
"My King. I have also learned and understood the same things."
Eve informed me.
"Good. Go back and prepare for dinner after a few hours."
"Yes, King!"
They went inside the Palace, as I was the only one left outside.
"Seven continents…"
I am not alone. There are six more Wonders and I didn't know how many have been owned by now.
"A calamity will arrive. And to survive that, one must own all the Seven Wonders."
One of the voices said it when I first touched the Control Stone.
[Not all the voices were written by me. Readers will find them out in the future chapters]
When and how?
I don't know anything.
I don't even have my own city yet. How could I plan to fight against other owners of the Seven Wonders?
I don't need to hunt as the wild boar meat will be enough for tomorrow morning as well.
I entered the Palace and headed towards the control room.
I was tired but I can just create the shells of the Nobles for now.
When I am no longer tired, I will finish them.
Ripples!
The tears or let's just call it water, were still there.
I guess it's going to remain here forever.
I walked towards the door to the control room as the water ripples echoed in the hall.
I walked down the stairs and went underwater without getting myself wet.
It just depends on what I want. My first time here, I got wet because I didn't know about it.
The scepter floating beside me as my hands with the black gloves on, touched the Control Stone.
The control room shone in bright white light as two energy balls formed before me.
They soon took the shape of a man and a woman.
Both with the western looks. Simply but just with something unique about them.
Nobles!
I left the two bodies to float in the control room with those white halos.
Grabbing the scepter, I turned around and stepped on the stairs.
I am going to sleep for a while until the time for dinner arrives.
* * *
When I woke up, I felt completely refreshed.
Gurr… My stomach was grumbling as I stood up and held the scepter.
Exiting my bedroom, I came to the left turning where the stairs went up to the ground floor.
Walking down, I looked around.
'Cold…'
Before I reached the kitchen, I could already smell the roasted wild boar's meat.
'I wish I had no worries so I could enjoy the meat peacefully.'
I entered the kitchen as Adam and Eve immediately bowed to me.
I didn't say anything as I went to the dining room and sat down on my chair.
I should get a pet.
'A white tiger… seems good.'
I made it certain that my next creation would be a large white tiger.
As the dinner arrived, Adam and Eve settled down on opposite seats.
"Thank you for the food."
We prayed before eating to show some respect. I used to do this at home with my family.
Many people don't get to eat even once a day. And only those people know the true worth of food.
It's not that I want to change the world or anything. If I can maintain myself and know what food is worth, that's enough.
After the dinner, I strolled around the entire Palace which was lit with lights.
It shined alone on the whole island.
Magnificent!
Still it's like a dream for me.
I stood by the balcony of my bedroom and placed my hands on the gold railing.
Now my eyes could only see the ruined city outline but it won't be long.
Not long, when I can see a bustling kingdom of mine.
No! Empire!
Yes, and I hope it will be soon.
I went down stairs and entered the grave hall from where I headed to the control room.
I had already taken the tubes from Adam and Eve.
All that's left is to inject the blood and implant the useful memories.
