《Reincarnate into Another World as a Bicycle》Chapter 12: The Buzzings of the Outer Sect

"I came early and discovered that there were many people at your doorstep, so I made Little Rock scare them away because they were being extremely nosy. Then I saw that you were sleeping so I didn't want to disturb your rest and waited in a nearby area, guarding your home from these weird strangers" Luo Rei said with a caring and soft voice, though that voice did not even remotely fit in with her image.
If anyone was to hear that voice, they would be drowned in a blissful dream, enjoying their brief eargasm.
Only to awoken by a horrendous nightmare that shattered the fairy like image of the imaginary person they had in mind, once they see the true owner of the voice.
Luo Ren turned towards the mountainous man standing behind his eldest sister, and bowed.
"Thanks, Little Rock, for clearing away those nuisances, it was much appreciated"
"Huuumpft"
The Hercules like man, who was supposedly called 'Little Rock' grunted in displeasure at Luo Ren, for calling him so.
His stern eyes mounted a ginormous gravitational pressure upon Luo Ren, as if Mt Tai had dropped from the sky, with Luo Ren suddenly being shackled by the raw thorny vines that appeared instantly from beneath to earth to put him in place, rendering him unable to escape from the pressure of the mountain.
David watched in surprise as all that, only made Luo Ren bow his head in embarrassment.
Luo Ren had accidentally called the expert, 'Little Rock' , due to his sister calling the expert that nickname.
"Eh?" The man that called, 'Little Rock,' exclaimed in shock.
He was surprised to see that his pressure had done almost nothing towards the young man before him, it was as if his technique that he had used countless of time before, was just an ordinary fart.
Many people who had the misfortune to suffer his mysterious pressure had either knelt immediately, trembled in fear, or beg for forgiveness.
Never had he seen, someone so weak, ignore his pressure, like air.
'As expected of a Luo descendant, sigh, I wish my master was at-least somewhat talented in anything other than eating more than she can stomach' Little Rock though, before briefly glancing at Luo Rei's visage with helplessness.
"That was rude of me, I'd always heard rumours of you protecting my eldest sister from the shadow, it's my first time seeing you, may I have the pleasure of knowing your excellencies real name?"
The tall muscular man replied instantly, in a deep bearish voice "Rock"
The only reason he had replied was because he had personally vetted Luo Ren's worth, and felt that he was worthy of responding to.
If Luo Ren had fallen to his aura like every other weakling, then he would had disregarded him, and wouldn't respond regardless of how many times Luo Ren bugged him.
'His name is actually Rock? Is there no last name?' David thought with a nonchalant expression, and Luo Ren reacted by repeated the name, committing it to memory.
Actually, if Luo Ren was just a normal person then he would had totally reacted in a totally normal way, scared shitless.
Unfortunately for Luo Ren, he had been through too many things in his life that had strengthen his will.
His will was like a fierce lion that crawled its way out of a vicious jungle, and survived.

The bullying, the beatings and his fathers cold disdainful attitude.
Some people will break.
Their willpower will crumble in the face of despair, a single touch of a leaf branch will collapse the whole tree down to the trunk.
But there are others, some who come out stronger than ever.
An arrogant iron will forged by the cruel society of the world, this was what became of Luo Ren.
His willpower has transcended beyond mortal understanding, one that ordinary cultivators, fail to achieve in their entire lifetime.
This iron will does not come with extreme benefits, only a slight boost in mentality which guarantees a small raft in the journey of the cruel unending cycle called cultivation.
If Rock had used his full power in thrusting his aura upon Luo Ren. Then forget about kneeling, Luo Ren would be laying on the floor, finding it hard to breathe a single puff.
"Anyway, I'm sorry for making you worry about me, eldest sis, how about this, I'll try my best to make it up to you" Luo Ren said in a pleading voice, while bowing slightly, dozens of times, in quick repetition.
"Awe, you don't have to do that, anyway, I will forgive you this time, but if it happens again, hummpft... But you should just be careful, I think that everyone is looking for you, I heard from rumours floating around the sect that you did something amazing. As expected of my youngest brother!" Luo Rei with said a smile, and a hint worry as she saw the stack of envelopes left laying in waste.
"You don't need to worry about me, if anyone comes after me, I'll just run, and also, don't I have you looking after me?"
"Younger brother, shouldn't it be the other way around? Heh, don't try to jump out of your responsibility, the brother should always protect their sisters, hummpft" Luo Rei pouted with a pretend angry face,
"Ah, you caught me there, anyway, as for my gift for making it up to you, what do you think of me teaching you how to ride our mysterious ancient relic mount" Luo Ren said while tapping Davids handlebars.
"Really? Thank you younger brother!"
"Right, but regarding this, I have some bad news and some good news. the bad news is that you can't ride this tool immediately, ah don't worry, the good news is that if you lose weight, depending on your effort, you can begin riding the ancient relic mount at minimum, in one month" Luo Ren said while scratching the back of his head.
"Lose weight? You can lose weight?" Luo Rei was absolutely confused.
"Eh?" Both Luo Ren, Rock and David, were all dumbfounded.
"Yes, if you exercise and stick to a diet plan, you can shred fat easily" Luo Ren explained with a wry smile.
"What? Then what are we waiting for? I want to do this exercise thing right now!" Luo Rei said with shiny bright eyes, as if she discovered something interesting for the first time.
'Is that all it took? People have been trying to get her to lose weight and cultivate so that she can become like her sister, but Luo Rei seemed to have the iq and eq of a 4 year old...' Rock thought with a hint of disbelief in his eyes.
Rock then stared at Luo Ren with a stern frown, as if he was saying. 'Why didn't you get her to lose weight years ago, huuuumpft!'

"How about we go to our secret area that we use to play when young?" Luo Rei suggested.
"Uh...hmmm, ok, I was going to take this relic for a spin, but I guess we could do it in the secret area" Luo Ren replied after carefully thinking.
"Ok, lets go" Luo Rei said cheerfully.
Rock was holding a small top quality pull carriage, made out of precious top 1st grade white mahogany wood, with a large fancy seat situated in the middle with high quality purple silk cotton.
This carriage seemed to be like something a donkey would pull, except it wasn't a donkey pulling it, it was Rock.
Luo Rei was about to sit back onto it for a ride, but her younger brother stopped her.
"I think we should start that exercise now, we have two precious legs that we were thankfully, born with, so why shouldn't we use them?" Luo Ren said in a lecturing tone.
"Ah, ok, Little Rock, put the carriage away, we are going to walk from now on"
"Huh?" Rock jaw dropped as he was dumbfounded once again.
The spoilt princess who like to be carried everywhere is now wanting to walk? He wasn't complaining, but he felt it was more likely that the planet would descend into a fiery flame and self explode than his master, suddenly getting off her ass, to walk a long distant to her destination.
No disrespect, but he also knew the location of the 'secret area' and felt like Luo Rei would die first, before reaching towards the destination, on foot.
"Are you sure master? The secret area is still a long way away" Rock said courteously.
"Ah yes, I'm serious about this matter, don't change my mind" Luo Rei said while sprouting a heroic posed with two hands of her hip, and her chest puffed out.
"Ok, but if you change your mind, I'll take out the carriage and carry you again" Rock said in a thoughtful, but flat tone, before holding out his palm towards the carriage.
'Wooooooosh'
David saw that the carriage just vanished out of thin air as it was sucked inside Rocks' spatial ring.
'I got to get me one of them one day' David thought inwardly.
"Ok, off we go! Huehue, this feels like one of those adventure that dad always talk about when he was younger" Luo Rei said joyously.
Luo Ren just sighed in response, before thinking. 'Aren't we just travelling for a few hours through the sect and city, this isn't really an adventure...'
"I'm gonna be riding the tool while you walk, I want to get more familiar with it, and also, you can see what the ancient relic is like, while exercising" Luo Ren said while hopping onto David, kicking his foot off the ground, and placing them onto the pedals.
"Ah" She saw her young brother just riding slowly towards the exit, but he circled around and returned back towards her and Rock.
"Heh, what are you waiting for?"
Luo Rei snapped out of her dazed, and motioned her left foot forward, then her right foot forward, then her left foot forward again.
And before you know it, she was walking behind Luo Ren, with a happy smile as Rock watched over all of them, he was keeping viligance of the surroundings.
It only took around twenty minutes for them to make it out of the isolated, worn down outer sect area that Luo Ren lives in, to a more populated area in the outer sect.
The good news is, Luo Ren had ridden a little over a mile, the bad news was, that the group had entered the site of other cultivators.
+ 1 Mile Points
+ 1 Rider EXP (Luo Ren)
........
"Hey isn't that Luo Ren?"
"You mean the Gentle Trap Goddess?"
"Shhhhh, he will hear you, and didn't you hear about what he did?"
"Eh, did he seduce another young master with his peerless beauty? Hehe"
"Shut up, you can't offend him now, he had done something extremely shocking"
"What do you mean?"
"Do you know the Twelve Heavenly Ghost Star Streaking Mantis Steps of the Immortal Gods?"
"Yeah, what about it?"
"There was a rumour floating around, that Luo Ren has advance from stage 1, to stage 2 of that technique!"
"Ha? There is no way, that trash did what no one else could do for tens of thousands of years?"
"It's true, there were hundred of witness, including the young master of the Jing Clan, Jing Bai!" Soft whispers were bouncing off in area corner like an echo in a deep cold cave.
The incident dissolved outwards like a raving mad disease, as if a young child had thrown a pebble into a pond, and the ripples it cause were waves of unstoppable chatter.
"Right, in the past, he wasn't favored by his clan, I bet his clan must have been extremely regretful, and are scrambling to have him back, sigh, Luo Ren would be heavily favored, perhaps he is now in the list of the top five most important people within his clan, but at least he will still just be below his genius sister, Luo Ru" A random cultivator said while gritting his teeth in jealousy.
There were a lot of jealous gaze pointed towards Luo Ren, some were even afraid because they were one of the people that forced Luo Ren down to grovel, perhaps, now that Luo Ren will most definitely be placed into a high position, he would choose to take revenge on them.
While others were jealous or afraid, some presented themselves as blatantly hostile, as if their killing intent pooled outwardly like common sweat.
Some were even planning how to murder Luo Ren in their mind.
You couldn't blame them, Luo Ren was somewhat similar to an ant.
An ant that could be squashed at any given moment, with just a thought.
But who would had thought that this ant would one day suddenly transform into a dragon.
In their mind, Luo Ren was just a lowly existent, but now he had sprouted wings.
How can they not be afraid and hostile since they had personally beated, insulted, and looked down upon the black sheep of the Luo Clan.
A young man that had been discarded as trash for unknown reasons.
But now they were scared, scared because Luo Ren had grown a set of wings.
Scared that he will upset natures balance.

Shadowrun: Blake Island School of Magic
It's a high tech, low life. It's the Seattle Metroplex in 2074. It rises like a steel and concrete cancer out of the earth. Poverty is rampant, corruption is everywhere, crime is out of control, corporations basically control everything, the old United States is fractured, magic has come back and now it turns out that humanity has been joined by elves, dwarves, orks and trolls. The old world ended but the rent is still due. Life goes on. You'd be surprised what people can adapt to, especially if they don't have a choice. One of the places where life goes on is just west of Seattle. Surrounded by the waters of the Puget Sound is an island. On that island is the Blake Island School of Magic. A decade ago it was known for producing some of the most talented awakened in the world. That reputation was hijacked by the wealthy corporate elite who now park their teenage children there. And since it's a boarding school, their parents mostly forget about them. Three young people, who are certainly not wealthy or elite, are chosen this year to attend this school of magic in hopes of revitalizing their reputation for talent. One from the ash drifts of the Puyallup Barrens, one from the most densely populated slum hive in the world and one from prison. This is their story. -- This story is set in the Shadowrun universe. If you're not familiar with Shadowrun, it mostly tells the stories of deniable mercenaries called shadowrunners in a cyberpunk dystopia. Instead of telling another story solely about shadowrunners, this story will tell the tale of young people navigating a world that is indifferent to them at best and actively hostile at worst. Shadowrunners will be in the story and we'll see them operate, but they won't be its main focus. This story originally began in 2017 as a passion project and continues to this day on the Somethingawful.com forums. The unedited version is over a million words strong. There are currently seven books in this series and I am currently in the process of editing them.
