Luo Ren blamed his father for this as he effectively killed his second sisters childhood altogether with her positive emotions such as compassion and love. He had rarely seen her smile, except when she was with her maid, he guessed that they had a relationship closer then that of a master and servant, perhaps they were close friends behind closed door?

Luo Ren had to at least thank this sword maid one day for repairing his sisters emotions while bringing her closer to the light, slowly shredding her cold blooded persona.

After a while, David mind began to wonder, so now he was leisurely minding his own business, trying to figure out which feature was the one to hold the much needed function, devour, but then he thought, if worse comes to worse, he could just upgrade every feature once.

What matters is that in this early stage, mile points shouldn't be used carelessly, although he used quite a fair bit before, he vowed to be careful from now on and squander and save as much points, for emergency uses only.

'Hmm, which feature would most likely hold the devour function, wait... What's going on?' David thought with a baffled expression, he felt his body stuck in place, as if an invisible hand was keeping him shackled in place.

A voice echoed throughout the area, David was at a lost of thought, he found that Luo Ren and himself was frozen in place in a secluded area near a small garden and a duck filled pond. But David could tell, that they were still inside the core disciple area.

'Damn this is bad, what if this is a trigger-happy arrogant disciple? Wait, why does this voice sound familiar?' David exclaimed as he pictured a person in his mind.

"Whose there? Come out" Luo Ren said with a grim expression.

"Don't tell me you have forgotten your sisters fiance" An aggrieved man came out of the shadows, he was feeling hurt and wronged at the way Luo Ren spoke to him.

But to David, he instantly saw through the mask of this man, the man who wanted to serve Luo Ru his dragon peach tea, this was someone who is excellent at concealing his true intentions, is good at controlling his expression and his composure in front of others, but when people turn their back to him, he shows his true face.

Such as the incident after Luo Ru refusing to drink his 'tea' while she and her maid made their way to their immortal cave abode, turning their backs towards Tao Min, David was the only one who saw his true face, it was scary and hideous, like that of a closeted monster.

"Hehe..."Luo Ren laughed forcefully with a wry smile, he winced as Tao Min scanned him from head to toe with his overbearing gaze.

"My apologies for that, I was just resting out here and felt someone sneaking up on me, who knew it would just be you, Luo Ren" Tao Min said with an apologetic face.

'Goddamn it, does this man want to take both Luo Ren and Luo Ru into his harem? Is none of the siblings spared from this devious man? How about Luo Rei? David could feel the awkward tension between the two, he felt that Luo Ren was taken off-guard and didn't know what to do in the presence of Tao Min, and Tao Min was also at a lost of words, forgetting what he was going to do in the first place, as his gaze continuously linger on Luo Ren.

"I just remembered, I'm expecting a tea date with your second sister, I better go before the brew turns cold, and also, you can come to me if anyone bullies you, I have your back" Luo Ren just nodded in return, before Tao Min dissipated into a gust of smoke, lifting up the cold veil that fell before them in heartbeat. Luo Ren could finally breathe as he sighed in relief, and took of once again towards his destination.

'That was weird, I wonder what Tao Min plan was? Perhaps it was something perverted...' David thought briefly before turning his attention back towards the bicycle system.

The basket went from milky light oak, to dark brown, and that Luo Ren noticed this with an a stunned expression, but he kept on riding faster and faster, racking up more mile points and rider exp. This was until they both made it towards the inner ring from the core area, and ran into trouble.
