《Realistic Tower of God: The Martial Way》Chapter 89- The Hell Train

True to Liu Guanyi's words, a loud noise could be heard as a red gigantic and long figure could be seen quickly approaching the station from the horizon. Soon, the sky parted away as the figure could finally be observed clearly with naked eyes.
It was a behemoth of a locomotive that levitated in the sky with bright blue fire-like shinsu on the bottom of each section of the train.
It wasn't only big, it was also extremely long as each section was more than a hundred meters long, and with the train having more than dozens of sections.
Soon, the giant majestic red train arrived in the Train City and finally stopped at the skyscraper, the sixth floor of the Train City, waiting for the ticket holders to board on it as the chief engineer of the train had commanded.
Liu Guanyi didn't continue loitering around after giving his punching bag a parting gift before he disappeared away as the train had finally arrived, and proceeded to kick the gate hard, forcing it to open wide as it broke apart.
He didn't care though, those guys who owned this city were filthy rich, and he wouldn't be held responsible for it, anyway.
Adori and Xin quickly followed Liu Guanyi through the way that he had opened for them. After passing the gate, they reached a very long staircase that spiraled upward. Liu Guanyi didn't hesitate to walk on it as the two followed behind him closely.
Liu Guanyi had already known about it.
This was the "Helix Stairs", the official way for the regulars in the Train City to reach the skyscraper since the elevator to the sixth floor wasn't actually allowed for the regulars and was only for the staff working here.
The Helix Stairs was indeed quite long, and since it was spiraling upward, it was much harder and more tiring than just a straight upward staircase.

Fortunately, nobody in Liu Guanyi's team was weak in the physical department. Even the injured Xin seemed fine as he was able to keep up with the quick pace they were moving at the moment.
In just a couple of minutes, the three had arrived on the skyscraper as they were greeted with another staircase. This time it was a relatively short one that went straight into a black door on the side of the Hell Train's section.
Looking at the Hell Train from close proximity felt very different than looking at it from a distance. They could finally witness it clearly just how massive the train truly was.
Its height was more than twenty meters, and with dozens of sections with more than a hundred meters long, they felt incredibly small in front of the Hell Train.
Even the majestic Archimedes, one of the greatest ships the Workshop had ever created, was pale in comparison with it, showing which one was the obvious better creation of the Workshop.
But to Liu Guanyi, this had another great yet subtle meaning, the importance to the creator.
Just like when a sculptor sculpted their arts, or when a blacksmith forged their swords, or when a painter painted their paintings, or when a craftsman crafted their crafts, or when a poet scribed their poems, and when an architect designed their buildings.
All of them had a single similarity, the efforts they put into their works to create their best possible creation, their masterpiece.
The greater the effort they put into a work, the greater the importance, meanings, and attachments of that work had to them.
If Archimedes, one of the major floating ships that the Workshop owned was much worse than the Hell Train, another work they had created, the implication was clear.
The Workshop had put greater efforts into making the Hell Train than Archimedes.

Or to put it simply, they valued the Hell Train more than they valued Archimedes.
This was certainly odd considering that as far as Liu Guanyi knew, Archimedes was always used by the Workshop to function as a mobile headquarter, and even used to hold the Workshop Battle event while the Hell Train was just being left behind unattended by the Workshop researchers and given to other factions to manage.
This anomaly made Liu Guanyi at least sure of one thing, the Hell Train concealed many secrets along with its long history and ancient existence.
From what Liu Guanyi assumed, it was very likely related to the presence of the leaders of ten great families and king Zahard on the train in the past.
At least that was the conclusion that Liu Guanyi could draw from his current knowledge and information about the train. Whether it was correct or not, it was for him and Adori to find out. It wasn't because Liu Guanyi looked down on Xin, but it was simply an undeniable fact.
Among the three of them, Liu Guanyi was absolutely the best.
He might not be able to win against Adori yet with his current strength since they hadn't fought for real, but it was obvious that Liu Guanyi possessed the most comprehensive abilities among the three.
With his incredibly keen and perceptive senses, both in shinsu and biological senses, Liu Guanyi had the ability to navigate in any region and spot any incoming dangers far before they actually manage to reach him, making Xin role and uses as a scout easily replaceable by him.
Not to mention his personal battle strength. While it was still unknown who would win if Liu Guanyi and Adori were to fight without holding back their power, just like what Adori personally felt and observed, Liu Guanyi was catching up to her swiftly day by day, and by the time his full power had recovered, he was confident in taking the prodigy princess of Zahard down with ease.
Everything would turn out well for him with time.
Liu Guanyi shook his head and re-focused his attention on the Hell Train. "Let's go, let's see what's inside the infamous Hell Train looks like."
Adori had a slight smile with curiosity in her eyes while Xin nodded with a solemn look. They quickly climbed the straight stairs and quickly reached the top of it.
Liu Guanyi looked at the dark door for a moment and then walked into it without hesitation as the two did the same after him.
As their bodies went into the dark door, they were swallowed by the darkness and disappeared.

The False Paladin
Divine Paladins, a title given to those who were blessed with the Lord's Favor, are the pillars of the kingdom of Calorin. However, a kingdom cannot simply be built from ideals of honor and duty. Sir Roel, the 58th Divine Paladin, knows that he's no hero. His sword is fake, his actual powers are middling, and his thoughts grow more cynical with every passing day. Upon receiving his next task, an order to assassinate a member of royalty, he wonders if the only thing he can do is bow his head and obey. Set in a medieval-era world in which brute strength is often subordinate to the schemes and machinations of the ruling class, this is a low fantasy story about a hero who struggles not only against monsters but also the idea that he's supposed to be the one fighting them. This fiction updates once to twice a week and each chapter is a minimum of 1000 words.

From there on out, he got volunteered into the crew of the Morning Star, the pirate ship he was unfortunate enough to stumble upon. With a tree for the Captain, a dragoncat for the Quartermaster, and a human, equal in height and width, as the Cook, he sets sail across the mysterious and hostile Threshold, filled with fierce abominations, rich Ghosts, and patriotic soldiers from the Glorious Metal Empire, all to figure out what the Light has brought upon his Earth that day, and to find his way back home.
