《Realistic Tower of God: The Martial Way》Chapter 56- Workshop Battle Part 4

Xin nodded and moved quickly toward one of the groups as he locked on their positions using his shinsu sense.
Seeing him rapidly getting closer to them without any signs of talking it out, one of the group leaders quickly deployed the lighthouse to stop him and ordered the fisherman to bring him down.
Crack!
The lighthouse barrier was broken instantly as Xin ran through it effortlessly. This astonished them as the light bearer quickly ordered the wave controller to assist the fisherman.
Baaaaang!
However, in just that short amount of time, Xin managed to overpower the fisherman as he punched his chest, breaking his sternum as the fisherman fell limp to the ground, unknown whether he was unconscious or dead.
This made them panic even more as the light-bearer struggled to find any solution before the boy would be upon them.
"What are you doing there!? Help us, they will kill you as well!" He shouted to the other group.
Hearing his plea for help, they were still indecisive as they looked over to the princess and the black-haired man who were still unmoving from their place and only watched the ongoing battle.
Seeing the fight themselves, they had a wry expression on their faces. A boy could fight against five people and not lose instantly, even looking like he was winning very quickly?
The princess of Zahard's team was clearly exceptional!
Even if the youngest and the weakest looking could fight a five-men team, what about the other guy, and especially the princess herself?
Helping them wasn't going to change anything, even if they worked together, they were too weak individually. They probably couldn't take a single attack from the princess, so it was better to simply keep watching and not dragged into the the battle for now.

The leader wasn't stupid, he knew that the light-bearer wanted his team to also bear the brunt and fall down together.
The princess and the other guy weren't doing anything yet, so there was a high chance that they would have some use for them. Probably, the princess just wanted to set an example of them to make them understand their places.
They were merely unlucky for being chosen to set the example, why would they help them without gaining anything and instead, suffer the same fate?
"Damn it! I hope you guys suffer more than me!" He cursed for his last words as Xin punctured his chest with his yellow needle, taking his heart out of his body.
Then, he quickly set his sight on the rest as he decided to finish them. As he was about to move, Liu Guanyi spoke. "Stop, Xin! Spare them, they still have their own uses, especially the scouts." Xin followed his words and stopped.
"Good job! You have improved a lot these years." Liu Guanyi smiled as he praised him.
"It's thanks to your training and guidance Mr. Liu." Xin smiled back and spoke humbly.
"Well, let's wrap this up shall we?" Liu Guanyi said as he glanced the group or regulars on the side and the remaining regulars from the other team.
"I'll give you guys two choices, one, follow our orders without any questions for the time being and we will guarantee your safety in this stage. Two, deciding that you won't follow our orders because the example wasn't enough for you to comprehend." He had a little smile as he spoke.
"Now, what's your choice?" He looked over them with his dark eyes, as his aura started to pressure them.
They turned to look at the white-haired princess and saw that she didn't have any response for his action and words, which meant that she basically supported his words.

Seeing this, they couldn't help to curse in their hearts, but spoke sincerely from their mouths. "We choose the first choice, sir."
"Good, now listen carefully so I don't have to repeat it since the time is passing quickly." They nodded and listened closely and carefully.
After all, they had no choice but to follow them if they wanted to live through this stage, who knew if they would kill them if they didn't take it seriously?
As Liu Guanyi started to explain his plans and assign them their roles, Xin was taking all the valuable equipment and items from the dead. These kinds of resources could be sold for points though not a lot, it wasn't a small either.
Rather than wasting the free money away, it was much better to use them for their cause. Some people might say that it was disrespectful to the dead, but it was up to one's understanding and views.
What was certain was, Liu Guanyi definitely didn't care about the dead's honor just like any logical warrior in the battles and wars as he was the one who taught Xin to loot any decent items for points. They killed their own enemies, it was up to them if they wanted to loot their belongings to further their cause.
Only living beings had honor and rights since they could protect those things themselves.
When someone died, they lost everything they had owned in their life. Maybe it went to their spouse, children, and descendants, or it might even be used for the good of the masses.
However, it could also be taken by other people who didn't have any rights for their inheritance if their descendants couldn't guard it or they didn't have any.
After all, what could they do to protect it?
Rising up from the grave to kill or curse those evil robbers who stole their inheritance from the rightful heirs?
Nope, nothing would happen to them as the dead couldn't do anything anymore. Once a human or a creature was killed, they were dead, that was it. Their relevance would continuously fade to the living as time went on until they were completely forgotten.
Only stupid and ignorant people believed that the dead had some supernatural powers. They were only that powerful when they were alive let alone when they were already dead.
In Liu Guanyi's world, this was the truth, and even in the tower, this was the same.
If Xin could kill them with a single strike when they were living, then Liu Guanyi would only need to blow the air with his mouth to shatter their vengeful souls to the abyss forever.

Jamie, 19, was walking into the kitchen for dinner when he suddenly found himself walking down a street in another world, a world with a game system. There, he meets a half-dragon, half-human named Adam, who faces adversity in most places, because of his parentage, and not long after they meet, the two of them are forced to leave town, due to Adam's beast nature. In the world of Tielmar, there are species of all varieties, a Class exists for nearly everything, and Skills come in quite a few forms. Jamie starts off with a Skill called "Limitless Adaptation", which supposedly allows him to adapt to any need, but is it really as powerful as it sounds? And more importantly - can it help him survive in a world where his first friend is a reject in all communities? Will Jamie, Adam, and the other friends and teammates they make in their journey find peace, allies, and love? Or will they fall to the powerful Adventurers that soon begin to hunt their team, to claim the bounties on several of its members, a bounty Jamie himself quickly finds on his own head? All of Book 1 is now posted, and Limitless Adaptation is officially done with the decision to rewrite. Credits for the cover go to me. I try to do a few reviews before posting, but I'm still learning. If you find any errors or have constructive criticism, please tell me! I will be happy if you leave comments. Content warning information: this story includes lots of killing of different sentient beings, but it doesn't have explicit gore. I still put a content warning, because it's better to be safe than sorry. It also contains a few profane words here and there... No sex scenes or traumatic content, I'll try to keep it positive.
