《Realistic Tower of God: The Martial Way》Chapter 80- Against The Guardian

The elevator quickly moved downward, this was natural since they were on the second floor and headed toward the first floor. The entrance.
"Umm, why are we heading toward the first floor? Isn't it closed until the train comes tomorrow?" Bewildered with the decision, Xin couldn't help to ask this.
"That's a good question, it seems that you have improved little Xin. However, if you are just being patient a little more, you will simply find it soon by yourself." Adori made a snarky remark toward Xin.
However, Xin knew better than to respond to her remarks. As Liu Guanyi had put it on him, becoming mature wasn't just a simple body growth and physical changes, instead, it was more of psychological changes.
Being a tall grown man didn't really matter when one still had the mentality of a child. Instead, a man with a little body that couldn't grow big, but had a broad and mature mind was much better than only being physically big.
Xin tried to think more positively, and he knew that Adori didn't say it merely to enrage or provoke him. Instead, it was to sharpen his mind and train him to control his emotions better. It was an act that proved that Adori cared for his well-being in a way.
As Liu Guanyi had taught him, he had to see past the superficial cover and façade to truly understand things. Rather than guessing whether she did this sincerely or was actually enjoying provoking him, it was better to use his energy to control his emotions not to fall into her trap.
Liu Guanyi smiled seeing this.
Xin was indeed nothing compared to Adori or him. However, even so, Xin still had potential and he had plans for him. Liu Guanyi wanted to create a foothold after finishing climbing the tower and he couldn't do it without any capable and trustworthy ally.

He knew that Adori wouldn't follow him.
Even if she was willing to follow him, she still couldn't actually do it since she was tied to the Zahard family, and she had a responsibility she had to fulfill as a princess of Zahard from the loyalist faction. Moreover, it was more beneficial to Liu Guanyi for Adori to take on such an important position.
Adori could become the insider who gave him many important and secret information. As long as she became a Ranker and obtain one of the thirteen months, they said, she could become one of the most influential people in the tower.
Liu Guanyi would be stupid to pass up such a good opportunity. This was the reason he trained and guided Xin so hard. It was all to make sure that he could have someone capable to rely on and trust when he would build his own forces.
If he did everything by himself, it couldn't actually be called a force, right?
The elevator arrived, they quickly got out of it. There, they saw the appearance of the first floor. It was the same gray tiled floors, but when they walked further, there was a long chasm that separated their side and the side where the gate to the train stood.
However, there were many platforms in the chasm that could be used easily as a footing to leap over to reach to the other side, so the chasm was meaningless, anyway.
It was a mystery why the architect and the builder of this place, the Workshop, even designed it like this.
Wait… maybe it wasn't meaningless as it looked at the first glance. Because, there was a person who stood right near the gate as if guarding over it.
He wore a long robe with a hood that covered most of his face, and only his long turquoise hair could be seen stretching to his back.

He was big and tall, around three meters in height, dwarfing all of them.
Although Liu Guanyi had grown taller from the past years, his height was currently around six feet while Adori was a few centimeters shorter, and Xin was only around five feet and three inches.
As the three of them walked over to the edge, the green-haired turned his head to look at them and spoke. "Regulars, what are you doing here? This isn't the time for the Hell Train to arrive yet."
"We are just checking and looking around here, could you please move aside? We want to see what's inside of the gate." Liu Guanyi said casually with a playful tone.
"You are not allowed to go inside yet. You should just come back and wait until tomorrow." He spoke with a stern tone, insistent on making them go away.
"Nah, you can't just send us away. We aren't criminals or anything. Look, we even have the tickets." Liu Guanyi took out exactly three tickets. "You can see clearly that they are legit, right? Then, just let us pass, we promise we won't do anything there, only sightseeing."
"You are still forbidden to do it, regulars. This is the last time I'll warn you. If you keep coming closer, I will take a drastic measure. You know nothing about this place." The tall turquoise-haired man said in a threatening voice.
"We are just curious to see the station before the Hell Train comes. Why you are so insistent in blocking us? Even if you are the gatekeeper, who gives you the gall to talk like that to the passengers?"
"Let me see your manager, maybe they can talk some senses to you." Liu Guanyi spoke playfully as he continued playing around him.
Even Adori had a little laugh seeing him joking and playing the guy around while Xin was still confused about what was funny about it and looked at both of them to get the hints of what truly happened.
"..." The tall hooded man couldn't respond and was speechless.
Contrary to what he said, Liu Guanyi and Adori knew a lot about the Hell Train and even about his true identity.
This was because both of them had done a thorough research about this place, and only Xin was still in the dark. This was why he joked and played the hooded man around, because… why not?
"You have been warned." The hooded man controlled the shinsu and formed a dark spear, and hurled it toward the most annoying-looking regular of the three, Liu Guanyi.

Approaching 17 years of age she’s still at level 0 while her peers have long left her behind, their classes selected at the age of 15 when they became available. Luck is on her side though as she manages to snag employment as a hauler with a party heading on an expedition to a dungeon abandoned centuries ago.
