《Realistic Tower of God: The Martial Way》Chapter 21- Final Test Part 4

While Xin was following the clue and searching the being or object that destroyed his observer, Liu Guanyi was walking at a decent pace trying to look out for any scouts to get rid of.
However, different from what Xin had presumed about how he could see in the darkness, he wasn't capable of shinsu sensing at all, but he had something that everyone did not have in the tower, the inner energy.
As the basic application of inner energy, it was to enhance the warrior's body.
This was already happening passively for every second, but if it was used actively, it would quickly deplete the inner energy. However, in return, the warrior could significantly improve certain of their organs' function.
Martial arts and techniques were merely the more advanced version and applications of this concept.
However, for an initiate warrior, it was not advised to perform this since they were new to this and barely understood anything about the inner energy. And with their low proficiency at controlling it, they could tear apart their weak bodies from inside.
The problem lied in the control mastery. As long as one had an immaculate control of inner energy, they could imbue it to any organs they had willed to strengthen their functions.
In theory, even an Initiate Warrior could perform it yet, it was only a theory.
But looking at Liu Guanyi now, the theory seemed to hold true as he flowed his inner energy from his heart to his ears. He didn't choose to strengthen his eyes for a reason. In this almost pitch black environment, increasing his vision capability to make it to be able to see was too costly.
First, it would deplete his inner energy too rapidly. And second, it would burden his eyes with how much amount of inner energy he needed to flow into them so he chose to augment his ears instead as the cost ratio effect was much better.

With enhanced hearing, he continued walking using the sounds and noises that he heard as guidance. For some time, that was enough until more sounds and noises began to echo in the surroundings that rendered his augmented hearing useless.
'It seems I have to do it.' Liu Guanyi thought.
Or not as he crouched and put his ears on the ground. He felt many vibrations from the ground, coming many directions, the regulars' movement he presumed.
But there were the vibrations with the greatest intensity from the west direction, the group B's main force.
He quickly got up and went there. Why would he go there?
Liu Guanyi needed to enact his plan to make sure Adori would be willing to go up together with him and Xin. If he didn't have to help Xin, he would never care about the test at all.
Because both he and Adori were already guaranteed to pass regardless of this test's result.
His plans in climbing the tower needed both of them, at least that was the case for the best scenario. This was the last chance he had to influence her willingness so he absolutely didn't want to fail this.
. . . . . .
When he was close enough to the source of the noises, Liu Guanyi saw many lights in the distance, the lighthouses!
And when he appeared closer and enhanced his eyes, he could see quite clearly the figures below the lights.
There were around twenty of them, almost the entire regulars of the group B. Fishermen in the front, spear-bearers in the middle, light-bearers in the back, and Adori leading in the front.
The stone carps could be seen running around as they chased them. Their strategy was, the fishermen would block the carps' escape paths while the spear bearers would shoot them with their spears from distance. With the carps' amazing speed, it would never work.

However, the light-bearers didn't only stand there just to give out lights but also work to hinder their mobility by trapping them with their lighthouses as the lighthouses spread out shinsu wall.
The lighthouse also functioned as some kind of prison to bring the carps to the starting zone. It was a bit limited since there were only 4 light-bearers, but five times more points rewarded than killing them apparently was too good to pass.
'There were no scouts here, but since the main group is here they shouldn't be too far. It is not the time yet to confront Adori.' Liu Guanyi calculated.
To avoid being spotted, he took a detour around them. Since they were here, looking for the scouts shouldn't be hard. Just like what Xin did, they had to use their observers to scout the area, which means the lights coming from the observers were easy to spot.
As he expected, after looking around for a while he saw some lights coming from round-looking objects. He reacted quickly to avoid their vision to find the controllers. Soon, he saw three people walking casually with an observer to provide vision.
"Hey, shouldn't we take this more seriously? This is what the princess gave us." The short regular said.
"Nah, why should we? Those from group B are probably fighting each other right now." The average height regular replied casually.
"Yeah, we should pay more attention to scouts on our group." The tall one with glasses spoke.
"Why, shouldn't we help each other? We are teammates right?" The short one asked.
"Duh, you are so slow. I can't believe you are the eldest." The average one lamented.
"Well, it's because our points are lesser than theirs. From the rules, no matter how much contribution a member of the group did, each member will receive equal points. So, what do we need to do if we want to surpass their points by gaining the same points?" He asked as he repositioned his glasses to seem cooler.
"Umm… by stopping them from getting points? The shortest replied.
"That's right, this game was designed to make us attack and fight each other from the beginning. Maybe they won't realize it for a while but those regulars with points below the top 5 from any positions will know sooner or later that this test won't allow them to change their rankings unless… they kick those top 5 down by getting them disqualified." He explained proudly while fixing his glasses once again.
"That's why, let's call them to regroup one by one and destroy them! Let's show them our power!" The average one said with fervor.
"Wow, you are a genius! Haha, we're going to pass this test!" The short one laughed gleefully.
