《I've Transmigrated... with a Broken System》Chapter 6: Boar Hunt!

Renard glanced over to the herd of boars grazing in the field. He no longer felt he needed to isolate the them. If they attacked in a group he would have already been killed by the commotion caused by the fight earlier. Instead of using that though to base his decision on, he used this one instead. 'If they want to attack me in a herd they can, I will destroy them all. Hahaha.' The previous fight had clearly made his non-existent arrogance skill level-up.
Now that Renard had used his inventory to store the corpse, he felt like he should investigate the functions of it. 'Open inventory' he thought, in an attempt that it would open the inventory. To his delight, a screen appeared in front of his hand. That screen had a single square box on it, inside of that box was the corpse of the boar he had just killed. He tapped on the square and a list of options appeared.
[Withdraw]
[Move]
[Time Lock: Off]
[Separate]
[Locked]
[Locked]
[Destroy]
As Renard glanced through the list, he was took note of the 'Time Lock' option as he was unsure of what it did. Renard decided it was probably best to just try it, so he tapped the option.
[Time Lock has been activated for inventory slot #1. The passing of time can no longer effect this item.]
'That's interesting. Does that mean I will be able to increase the speed that time flows on stored objects in the future? Nevertheless, this can be quite useful if I need to store items that need to be in a certain state. This is especially useful for corpses, it will allow them to stay fresh and prevent rotting.' Renard had a few thoughts about the option.
He took note of the 'Separate' option. 'This must be used to split materials up, if I used this on the boar, it should give me the hide. This makes it a lot easier for me, I only have to focus on killing four more boars now and not skinning them.'

After the quick glance at his inventory he decided it was time to get back to business. He closed the menu and turned to face the closest boar to him. The glint of sunlight reflecting off the dagger flashed in the boar's eyes as he dashed towards it. He was no longer concerned about concealing his presence and sneaking around any more.
Boars are slow thinking creatures and Renard's action of moving quickly towards it had given it no time to react, it was hit by surprise.
[You have hit a Greater Boar. 'Almighty Power' has been activated dealing the maximum amount of damage.]
[You have dealt the enemy 15 damage! 15 Health Remaining.]
"Ha, you weakling!" Renard shouted as blood violently gushed out of the boar's side. His stab had penetrated deep into the boar's insides.
The boar had squealed out of pain, the other boars noticed this, even though they were slow, they noticed danger and started to run away in separate directions.
[Target has been stunned for 5 seconds.]
[You have hit the target. 'Almighty Power' has been activated dealing the maximum amount of damage.]
[You have dealt the enemy 15 damage! Target Killed.]
[Congratulations! You have defeated the level 2 "Greater Boar". You have gained 5 XP!]
Seeing the boars start to scatter, Renard was visibly shaking, his brow had curled into a frown, his teeth were visible and a snarl left his mouth. He was angry. The quick slash at the boar was to try and silence it, unfortunately he was too slow. After killing it, he stored its corpse in his inventory.
After that fight he now knew that it didn't matter how he attacked, 'Almighty Power' would always activate, dealing the maximum damage possible, so that helped calm him a little.
The boar that was closest to Renard had ran towards the south. The next moment, a blur could also be seen going in that direction. 'This is going to be a long day.' Renard though.

The sun had started to dip under the horizon, which caused light to dance along the ground as the shadows grew larger. One particular shadow was moving slowly towards the entrance of Littlefeather, that persons body was hunched over and their clothes were covered in dirt.
As the weary figure walked through the gate, the town guards didn't bother to disturb him. To them, it was clearly a labourer that had been working out in the fields all day. A sense respect was even present for the man, working in the fields was hard and it was all for the town's future food supply, it took a lot of will power to do those jobs.
The weary man was muttering something under his breath, one of the more nosy guards had focused on what he was saying.
The guard heard a the man grumble over and over. "Since when can boars run so fast? I have wasted my whole day chasing bloody boars. Stupid boars." The guard involuntarily let out a chuckle. Luckily for him, the weary man didn't notice as he might have been attacked.
Renard had spent the entire day collecting three more boars. The herd of boars had managed to run quite far away, which was out of his expectations. Renard had managed to deal with the first one he chased after quite easily. However, he had to spend the rest of his day running around in search of the others. Luckily, he managed to find three more before the sun started to set.
Now he was back in town, Kyle's shop was his main objective. Kyle's quest had to be handed in before night, as he wouldn't be able to buy a room to sleep. He was currently wandering towards the centre of the town, aiming for the stone built shops. He hoped Kyle hadn't already closed up the shop and headed home for the night.
Once at the centre of the town, he saw a fountain and the roads leading to the north, south, east and west of the town. Each road had an entrance to Littlefeather at the end of them, except for the one towards the north which led to the town lord's manor. Attached to each of the roads were stone built shops, totalling 12. There were four corner shops and each shop had another shop on it's left and right that went down their respective roads.
As Renard glanced at the signs outside each shop, he was shocked as the shop that had Kyle's name on was the most grandiose one there, it also still had at least six customers in there, despite the time. On the metal signboard attached to the side of the shop, written in gold plated letters was 'Kyle's Trade Union'.
Once he entered the shop, an attendant walked straight up to him and asked. "Hello, my name is Robert. How may I help you?"
"Ummm, I'm Renard. I think I'm in the wrong place. I am looking for a man named Kyle, he asked me to get him some boar hides."
"Oh, you are the man Kyle mentioned. Please follow me, I will take you to his office." The attendant started to scurry off, Renard followed along but was still really confused.
'How could that wagon-driving old man own such a place?'
