《I've Transmigrated... with a Broken System》Chapter 5: Kill the Lightning Boar!

[The Greater Boar Leader (Lightning Attribute) has been stunned. It will not attack for 5 seconds!]
When Renard read that message he felt a sliver of hope. 'I have a chance, I must attack it while it can't attack me. I hope 'Almighty Power' activates every time I attack.' In that moment., Renard was focused, he didn't have time for jokes, he knew he had to kill this boar or he would die.
Everything else was unimportant.
When Renard entered this state everything felt like it was in slow motion. He was able to twist his knife in a way that allowed him to utilise the momentum from his previous swing and send another attack back towards the boar. The effect Renard's current state allowed him to control his body with perfect and precise movements. The position of all his body parts and how they needed to move to cause maximum damage to his target formed in his mind naturally. In this strange state, the enemy was seen through completely, even their weak points were completely obvious.
Currently, Renard felt like he had lost out when he'd transmigrated. However, in reality he actually hadn't. Unknown to him, he had potential that was truly unlimited. Everything is supposed to have a limit, even those who were at the highest stage of cultivation have limits. It would seem that those at that stage can not go any higher, however, it is only that their potential is limited. They did not have the potential to break higher. Everything in nature is like this, it has a limit due to its potential, which it can never break through.
However, against the nature of the universe, Renard's potential in all areas was completely unlimited. Meaning he could go beyond what was considered the peak and force the entirety of existence to change. Due to his unlimited potential he had the ability to force his current strengths and enter a state that was far beyond his current power. That was the state he was currently in. His body control, battle techniques and observational skills far surpassed those of the enemy, which caused him to seem far superior in comparison to the boar.

['Almighty Power' has been activated dealing the maximum amount of damage.]
[You have hit a weak point, damage is doubled!]
[You have caused a critical hit, damage is doubled!]
[You have dealt the Greater Boar Leader (Lightning Attribute) 60 damage! 25 Health Remaining!]
Unfortunately for Renard, he didn't have control over this state yet and immediately after he hit the boar he lost his advantage and his skills dropped back down to their ordinary levels. By experiencing those higher levels, he had actually gained an insight into them, this increasing his original ability marginally. The only skill that was still enhanced was Renard's focus. That is because this was not boosted by his potential, it belonged to him. When he truly focused on something, nothing could take him away from it.
Normally, such a notification would shock him, in this instance he only acknowledged it. Losing his higher levelled battle techniques meant he could no longer link his attacks like before Renard comped with this as it just meant that there would be a slight delay in his attacks.
He had never tried to attack anything with a knife before but was quickly feeling accustomed to it. The longer he wielded it, the easier it was to control, and the more power he felt like he could exert without the aid of the system.
Most people would find it easy to use a regular dagger over time. However, it normally took a few hours of practice. Renard had only been using it for a few seconds and was already grasping the technique. This was the power of his unlimited potential.
Renard being cautious of his time, he knew there wasn't long left of stun time. As he thought this, the system gave him a prompt response.
[3 seconds remaining!]
Renard estimated his chances of winning. He knew that if he attacked as quickly as he could, there was a chance that the timer would end before he got the second attack in that was required to kill it. This also meant that the boar may have a chance to damage him. Currently, he couldn't think of a better way to kill it nor did he have time to so he went with the simple option and slashed out once again.

['Almighty Power' has been activated dealing the maximum amount of damage.]
[You have dealt the Greater Boar Leader (Lightning Attribute) 15 damage! 10 Health Remaining!]
This time, Renard had aimed directly at its eyes in an attempt to block its vision. This was somewhat effective and destroyed its right eye. He hoped that it had been enough to disorient the enemy causing it to miss if it attacked.
As Renard's attack was coming to an end, the boar's stun was also about to end. Renard had one second to get another attack on the boar before it ended. He decided to go for a stab attack instead of slashing like he had been doing previously.
He started to twist he body, thrusting his arms towards the boar. Both hands were gripped onto the dagger. He once again aimed for the boar's eyes. If the boar lived, Renard knew that he would have a better chance of survival if both its eyes were destroyed.
Renard was focused on the boar's intact eye. He noticed that the haze that had once been in them from the stun dissipated. This was trouble, Renard had already started his lunge, he couldn't stop now. He had to wish that the boar couldn't react to his attack.
Renard's wishes were partly answered and the boar wasn't able to dodge. However, this didn't mean it hadn't been able to attack. As Renard's attack pierced its eye, the boar summoned its special attack. A status attack, it had an instant effect.
The boar was a lightning attribute. This meant is was endowed with an affinity to lightning. As the boar grew stronger it would enhance and unlock more powerful lightning based skills. The current skill that Renard was facing was called 'Paralysis'. This skill could cause the enemy to freeze completely still, with no chance at retaliation if hit.
The fate of this battle would be decided by what attack hit first.
Renard's dagger started to pierce the boar's eye and goo oozed out, he had hit the boar. However, Renard was also hit by 'Paralysis' before he could finish his attack.
[You have been affected by 'Paralysis' you have been frozen!]
['Almighty Power' has activated and cancelled out this skill!]
['Paralysis' was ineffective!]
Renard's attack was complete, he was lucky, if he didn't have the system, he would have died.
[Congratulations! You have defeated the level 6 hidden leader-type boss "Greater Boar Leader (Lightning Attribute)". You have gained 65 XP!]
[Would you like to put the corpse in your inventory?]
Renard was released from his focused state, allowing his arrogant personality to return. He heaved a breath and then monologued to the corpse. "Haaaaah, I really am powerful. What can kill me now? Nothing, now that I have 'Almighty Power'."
"Yes, put it in my inventory" he said.
"Time to kill some more boars!"
