《Dark Wolf》Book Two: Chapter 6

“Hold on, mate!” Copper blasted his laser pistols at the behemoth’s back. “Die-mother fucker! Die!”
The brute screamed as the laser beams burned through his back. Then he swung his arm, knocking Copper to a wall.
The robot slammed against the wall and fell to the floor. At least he wasn't broken. "Bullocks!"
John rose and charged toward the possessed. If he could grab the remote, the big bad bastard would no longer hurt him. But with the collar on his neck, he couldn't transform. If he did, the collar could choke him, cutting off the air circulation to his brain, rendering him to unconsciousness. Choking won't kill him, but the agony will be unbearable.
He jumped onto the back of the behemoth and wrapped his arms around the brute's neck. His arms squeezed the prisoner's neck while he gritted his teeth.
The brute dropped backward, slamming John against the floor. John screamed, feeling like a giant boulder landed on him.
After the brute rose, he lifted John and carried him toward the guard's corpse. He dropped John, pulled his head up, and dunked his face into the corpse's stomach.
"Eat it! Eat it!" The demon shouted.
John's face rubbed against blood, flesh, and organs, but he kept his mouth shut. He struggled to breathe, but he doesn't want to taste the flesh of a rotting corpse. The brute was so strong, he couldn't push his head free.
"Fugggh yooouuu!" That was all he could say while his mouth gurgled in blood.
The demon laughed until something smacked him off John. John crawled off the corpse and spat the blood off his lips.
After he wiped the blood off his face, he saw a white, pale girl in a black sports bra, tight spandex shorts, and dark military boots, punching the possessed prisoner like a punching bag. "Lena!"

"Not this moment!" The zombie girl slammed her fist against the brute's lower jaw.
He wobbled backward until he stopped and pushed his jaw back into place. His red eyes scanned Lena as his lips smiled, showing off his sharp fangs.
Lena spread out her feet and raised her fists up. "You're not my type!"
The brute charged, roaring an inhuman cry. His arms reached for Lena, but she ducked and punched his crotch.
The behemoth cried and fell to his knees. He rubbed his smashed testicles while moaning.
"Snack time!" While the brute was down, Lena jumped onto his back and sunk her teeth into the prisoner's head. Her sharp teeth nibbled around his scalp, strong enough to break through his bone. Then she peeled the scalp off his head, exposing his brain.
Her eyes widened at his brain in hunger, and her mouth slobbered. After licking her lips, Lena attacked the brain like a piranha. She ate fast, munching the entire brain matter while the brute turned cross-eyed.
When she finished, she pushed the lifeless possessed to the floor and licked her chomps. "Mmmmmmmmmh."
John turned around and vomited on the floor. He has seen Lena ate brains before, but the powerful stench from the guard's corpse took a troll on him. He should be immune to carnage and other disgusting matter when he was in action. Maybe his body was still recovering from the stasis hibernation.
"Are you okay?" Lena approached him and rubbed his back.
He glanced at her, noticing the blood around her mouth. But he took some clear breaths, claiming his stomach down. "I'm fine….. Thanks for showing up."
Lena wiped the blood off her lips and smiled. "Did I miss the party already?"
John spat and got up. "I think the party is just getting started."

Behind Lena, Copper hovered toward her. "Who the hell are you?"
Lena swung her fist into the robot, knocking Copper away from her. She held up her fist, ready to attack, but John dashed into her path.
"No, Lena!" He shouted with his arms up. "He's an alley! He helped me out!"
Lena looked at the robot and back at John. "Really?"
Copper hovered toward her and shook. "Bloody hell! Is everyone going to keep hitting him?"
"You scared the daylights out of me!" Lena complained. "You're lucky I lost my shotgun!"
Copper pointed his finger at her. "And you're lucky I wasn't armed with a -"
From the other side, loud screams echoed from a dark hallway toward the back. It sounded like millions of freaks, charging.
"We got company!" John shouted.

TTWN: The Tale of Will Newbie
This series is inspired by the music of TheFatRat, please take a look if you don't know who he is here. Everyone wants to live in a fantasy world, right up until they have to face dark beings beyond their comprehension. Everyone wants to be a hero, right up until every day becomes a fight for their life. Sixteen-year-old introvert Will Newbie lives in a fantasy world. He's the hero of this story. He has been left with nothing; after a brief adventure in the mountains near his home, he returns to find his entire home missing, every person mysteriously vanishing into thin air. All that's left for him is his rather, "disembodied" older sister and the quest given to him by a rat-turned-god: Gather a team of Champions, fight back against the forces of Sin, and save the world. But if he's learned anything, it's that being a hero isn't as easy as it sounded in the books. So, he'll have to keep himself together, keep his team from tearing each other apart, and figure out just how much he's willing to sacrifice for what he believes in. Any feedback is greatly appreciated! This is my first fully written story, so I want to improve. Positive or negative, I'll take it into account! I will try to update weekly every Friday, but as I'm pretty new to this kinda grind expect some irregularities. The covers are also by moi, done in Pixel Studio. Quite proud of them, really.

Twoen
The struggle for an interesting game has been the story of my life for quite some time. Every game I find is either too easy, not interesting or too short. Luckily, my two brothers who match my level of skill, albeit in different areas, tend to spice things up. When I look at my older brother I have no idea how he gets anything done when he's such an idiot. Still it doesn't detract from my respect for him as a gamer, though maybe a little. When I look at my younger brother I marvel at the monster that my older brother and I created. Deadliness, craftiness and quiet, both in what he does and how he is. When it's just us three we tend to destory everything in our path. So normally we tend to compete rather than team. Although that isn't to say we're just good as individuals. When we work together our effectiveness multiplies rather than lowering. Well enough about us dorks. Anyway a new VR game came out, apparently in development for quite some time. Of course my older brother decided to drive out and buy three copies. What would this one be missing? Difficulty? Depth? Length? In any case I plan to reach the top before my brothers do. It was a competition after all. Twoen had all three things I normally yearn for in spades. Something I did not foresee. A keeper

Forced Development (What does it truly mean to live a fulfilling life?)
To get things started I would like to admit that this story does not bring much new to the table when it comes to the over-saturated Litrpg genre in terms of things like mechanics and power systems. Then what exactly am I trying to bring to the table with this work? A nice slow-paced novel about people maturing and growing older think of it as the re: zero or jobless reincarnation of Litrpgs. A story that tries to take into consideration how a worldwide system would affect the economics and culture of a world. A story that is much more character-focused than the typical heavy progression-focused novels this genre is known for. The RPG system, like any good power system, is there to actually explore the themes of the story and not just as a plot device for characters to get stronger. This is a story where we will see the growth of the Mc from being a baby to when he dies of old age. With plenty of heart-racing actions and intriguing plot developments along the way. Exploring themes like; What does it mean to improve at something and what does it mean to mature as a person? How does magic, the constant threat of monsters and people so much stronger than the average joe that they can destroy countries affect one's culture both on the micro and the macro scale? How people are affected by the culture in general? Generational trauma Nature vs Nurture Talent vs hard work What is morality, society, and people's opinions on both? What does it mean to be human and what does it mean to be alive in the context of a world with multiple sapient species vastly different from one another in basic biology? All these questions are going to be explored from multiple angles using the system as a catalyst for those discussions. So if any of does questions sound interesting to you what are you waiting for, I'm sure you are going to love this story. PS - Chapter come out every Friday at about the same time.
