《Battling Records of the Chosen One》C218. Power of One Punch

A majestically tall figure came up in the heavy rain.
He got a rugged face and a wide forehead, with his bare chest as hard as a rock. Still holding a huge jar of liquor, he was drunk and bleary-eyed like a drunkard.
But right now he walked up like a mountain, sending out an overwhelming power, which even made the torrential downpour unable to get close to him!
It was exactly Shue Jin.
Feeling inexplicable pressure, Ghost Moon and Gray Mink were both struck by a sudden chill, as if small ants were looking up at a towering mountain!
“A real assassin should not have feelings.”
Shue Jin’s eyes swept around the two persons, and seeming to have recalled something, he had a sigh and said, “You can leave. Go back and ask your master whether he still remembered ‘bloody Cang Mountain shrouded in scarlet sunset’.”
Ghost Moon and Gray Mink looked at each other with blank dismay, hesitated for a moment and eventually hurried away with clenched teeth.
Shue Jin watched them leave; a wry smile emerged on the corner of his lips, and then he held up the jar and started to guzzle the liquor in the heavy rain.
Bang!
The liquor was drunk up and the jar broke to pieces.
Shue Jin exhaled a long breath of foul air and cast his eyes far away.
Suddenly, a horrible light burst out of his drunken eyes which were like a pair of surging thunder vortexes.
Almost at the same time, a light sound of wonder was heard in the darkness far away. Soon a slender figure showed up, and was close in the blink of an eye.
He wore a wide-sleeved black robe and had three wisps of goatees, showing demeanor of transcendent being. The momentum around him seemed to connect to the sky. Though his eyes seemed bland, even a casual glance exuded kind of shocking deterrent power.
“Could I ask who you are, friend?”
The man had got a fathomless temperament, and standing more than three hundred meters away, he fixed his eyes on Shue.
The torrential rain, seeming to be imprisoned by an invisible force, could not get close to this area within the radius of more than three hundred meters!
Shue Jin gave a sneer, “It’s not important who I am. You, with your current identity, should launch such an attack against a young man tonight. This really surprises me.”
The man with a transcendent air turned out to be Yao Tuohai!
It was unclear what Lin would have in mind if he were here watching this.
Yao Tuohai’s face fell and a touch of coldness flashed across his eyes. In fact, he was somewhat startled since he was unclear about the identity of Shue Jin, from whose aura, though, he sensed a horrible kind of power.
“You’re here to stop me?” Yao Tuohai asked tentatively.
Shue Jin laughed, “Do you really think you deserve my attention? Cut the crap. It’s been enough for tonight. It’s time to end. But if you don’t want to, then defeat me first.”

The pupils of Yao Tuohai contracted, “So are you coming to protect Lin Xun?”
Shue Jin scratched his head and said, “You can think it in this way.”
After Yao heard the words, his heart sank. Yao had never imagined that there should still be a strong practitioner besides Lin Xun to protect him, and this man’s cultivation was no weak than that of practitioners in the Tao Insight Realm!
Yao Tuohai took a deep breath and said in a low voice, “In this case, I am very curious whether you really can protect this lad?”
As a formidable practitioner in Southwestern Province of the empire, Yao Tuohai, who could be on a par with Governor Liu Wujun, would naturally not be frightened by this one sentence.
Shue Jin frowned, seemingly a bit impatient, and said, “I’m clear that no matter how much more crap there is, fists are always the best way to solve the problem.”
His voice having not yet disappeared, Shue Jin directly strode forward and threw a punch.
Boom!
Simple as it was, the punch boasted an unstoppable power, as if it could pierce the void.
It could be clearly seen that the void of this whole area had been severely squeezed, with every inch of it collapsing and producing a sharp sound, which eclipsed the heaven and earth.
Yao Tuohai’s face slightly changed, with dazzling cyan lights suddenly gushing out of his whole body and going straight up to the sky, making his power climbing to the extreme in an instant.
Buzz~
Almost at the same time, he slightly bent his five fingers, forming a handprint, which was dazzling with cyan light, and smashed out.
Liu Wujun, who buried himself in cultivation in the mansion of the governor right now, suddenly opened his eyes, with a touch of shock crossing his brows.
In the Mist College, President Wei Lingzhen and Commander-in-chief of Ziling Army Du Dongtu also sensed something while playing chess, and unanimously stopped their movements, with eyes towards the same direction.
In the Tingyu Tower, Ting Yu, who, sitting cross-legged, was playing qin alone, suffered a quiver on his fingertips and made an imperceptible noise. But seeming totally unaware of what was happening, he frowned, and looked into the distance out of the window.
There should be strong ones of Tao Insight Realm fighting on this rainy night in the Mist City?
This thought occurred to Liu Wujun, Wei Lingzhen and Du Dongtu at the same time, making them all surprised.
Were there even strong ones of Tao Insight Realm involved in tonight’s fight?
When they tried to perceive something more, there was no more they could know, as if the feeling just now was only an illusion and nothing special had ever happened.
This inevitably made them full of doubt and surprise again.
…
At the same time, a huge boom was heard on the long street, and horrible dazzling lights dispersed like unbridled windstorms.
But there seemed to be an invisible wall, blocking all the unleashed force.

As a result, the buildings along the long street were left intact.
Otherwise, at least all the buildings and creatures within the radius of fifty kilometers would be destroyed by the power this strike had released!
Boom!
In the void, Yao Tuohai staggered backwards, with blazing cyan lights surging around his body-- he had obviously run his cultivation to the extreme.
However, a fist full of crushing and invincible momentum straightly slammed into the air, rendering the void collapsed in front of him.
This was the power of one punch Shue Jin threw just now. With a single blow, he crushed the handprint of Yao Tuohai and made him retreat in staggers!
And even until this moment, Yao Tuohai could not completely resolve the power of this punch!
What made Yao Tuohai’s heart palpitate especially was that after the punch, Shue Jin should still have the power to block the surrounding areas to protect buildings and creatures from being affected by the power generated by their fight!
“Who on earth is this guy?”
Yao Tuohai was appalled. He had reached the Tao Insight Realm for decades and had thought that there were only a few people who could be on a par with him in the entire Southwestern Province of the empire.
He had never expected that the stranger he only met tonight could thwart him with a single punch!
Judging from this, this strange man’s cultivation and fighting skills were at least one level higher than his! And it might be much higher!
Boom~~
The fist dashed at will, showing nothing outstanding. But its air of crushing everything and unstoppable momentum looked so appalling.
With a bang, Yao Tuohai still failed to resist the punch in the end. As the punch straightly smashed on his chest, his whole body flew backwards violently and he coughed a mouthful of blood.
His face had turned pale, and his eyes were full of horror. Without the previous calmness and ethereality, he looked rather disheveled right now.
Hua~
Right at the same time, a rough smile emerged on the corner of Shue Jin’s mouth, and he pressed both of his hands gently in the void.
Instantly, all the violent power dashing between the heaven and earth was erased, and it returned to the original state with the torrential rain pouring down, as if nothing had happened.
This scene seemed totally magical and incredible!
Yao Tuohai looked at this scene in a daze, with the expression on his pale face changing constantly. He looked at Shue Jin in the distance with a deep touch of dread in the eyes.
Who was this person on earth?
With just one punch, he could shake the heaven and earth and crush everything. The practitioners of Tao Insight Realm with such great power were extremely rare even in the entire empire!
“I have no intention of interfering in the grudges between you and Lin Xun. But no one is allowed to give him trouble under my nose in the Mist City.”
Finishing his words, Shue Jin turned around and strode away, and his majestic figure quickly disappeared in the rain.
Shue’s words shocked Yao Tuohai.
He was somewhat unsure, and after pondering in the rain for a long time, finally he turned around and left with a dismal face.
The experience tonight was too abrupt for him and also gave Yao Tuohai a touch of horror in his heart, making him no longer dare take any other actions.
…
At this time, in the depths of a remote and ruined alley, Lin Xun curled up and was quietly lying in the shadow of a low house, with his Qi restrained. He kept his body unmoved like a stone with no life in the heavy rain.
His face looked slightly pale at this moment and more than half of his power had been used up. What was especially serious was the shocking bloody hole on the left side of his chest, which was only inches away from his heart!
This was left by the assassin, Residual Snow, from Tingyu Tower.
In the previous fight with Ghost Moon and Gray Mink, Lin tried to seek self-protection by using the Insignificance Longbow, which straightly forced Ghost Moon to have to dodge and hide.
And grasping the opportunity, Lin Xun finally locked onto the location of Hui Diao who was hiding in another place, and shot through his Ocean of Qi with no hesitation.
But Lin Xun did not expect that, while he locked onto Gray Mink’s location, he was also locked onto by Residual Snow, who was hiding on the other side. The two of them attacked almost at the same time, thus making Lin unable to dodge quickly enough and injured severely!
Under the circumstances, Lin Xun had to choose to flee. The battle tonight which continued till now had already contributed to a large consumption of his power. In addition, he had suffered a serious injury, so he could only seek self-protection now.
To Lin’s surprise, Residual Snow should have followed him closely all the way like a ghost, and it was almost impossible to get rid of him.
The situation grew dangerous for Lin. If continuing to escape like this, Lin, who had been seriously injured, must faint!
Therefore, Lin Xun chose to counterattack without hesitation.
He didn’t know who Residual Snow was, but he knew that this guy had a terrible accomplishment in archery, which was even better than Residual Wind.
It was undoubtedly that such an enemy was the most troublesome and dangerous.
Fortunately, Lin Xun had Insignificance Longbow, and the one-year training in the Bloodthirsty Camp had already equipped him with technique of assassination and methods of lurking that were completely no inferior to the real assassination overmatches.
In this rainy night, a tit-for-tat assassination was carried out in silence between Lin Xun and Residual Snow!
An Unbelievable Thing and more on Flying Lines.

Transformers: Heroes
Heroic Decepticons Alternate Universe. A century ago, the eons-old war between the Autobots and the Decepticons suddenly and inexplicably came to an end. Since then, many have gone their separate ways, whilst others still hold onto the bitter memories of war. Now, as Autobots and Neutrals join forces in a new directive to capture every Decepticon still left alive, it appears that the Autobots will finally get their chance to even the score, and defeat their enemies once and for all. But when they become the target of seemingly random, yet terrifying attacks, some begin to realize that the enemy may be much closer to home than anyone could have ever imagined. Author's Notes: While it helps to have a little bit of prior knowledge about the world of Transformers, you don't need to be a Transformers fan to enjoy this story, or even a Decepticons fan! One thing I can say for sure is that it is unlike any Transformers fan fiction you've ever come across. This story aims to explore one possible set of motivations in depth in a setting of ongoing conflict between the Autobots (and, more recently, the Alliance - a collaboration between Autobots and Neutrals) and the Decepticons. Although this story takes a lot of things from the G1 cartoon, it is by no means strictly G1 toon oriented and introduces characters and/or ideas from other continuities (Sentinel Prime, Jhiaxus, Thunderblast and Rook (not the Autobot Rook - the other Rook!). Set primarily on Cybertron and Alternity City, it also deviates from certain key elements common in Transformers canon. For one thing, the general consensus that all Autobots are good and all Decepticons are bad is challenged, and a new meaning to the motivations behind their conflict is offered (which is a recurring theme in my Heroic Decepticons Alternate Universes). Some personalities have been altered from their canonical profiles as a necessity (Megatron being the most obvious example) and developed to a much deeper level than the original cartoon allowed. I hope you enjoy and thanks for reading.
