《Battling Records of the Chosen One》108. Contracting Enmity

The battle at the foot of the mountain was still going on.
Three hours was short, but it seemed abnormally long for those trainees who were being confronted with the attacks of those Golden-flame Spiders at any second.
They could clearly feel that their physical strength was fading away each minute and second.
Those boys and girls at the Camp 39 were all about at the eighth level of the Martial Realm. And many of them were even at the ninth level.
Thus, those, like Lin Xun, still at the sixth level, were rare, and the cultivation was actually at the bottom among the trainees.
Cultivation was the origin of power in battle, and it was a plain principle that the higher a practitioner’s cultivation was, the higher combat effectiveness he had.
Undoubtedly, the situation was not favorable for Lin Xun in this respect.
However, Ning Meng was probably the only one who knew that although Lin Xun was at the sixth level of the Martial Realm, his spiritual energy was as powerful as that of a peak overmatch at the eighth level of the Martial Realm.
Therefore, Lin Xun knew that he probably wouldn’t be knocked out. As long as he adopted the present battle strategy, he would survive the three hours.
It was not long before Lin Xun’s face darkened, for he saw a teenager in the nearby area approaching him.
The teenager’s breath was slightly messy. Chased by a flock of Golden-flame Spiders, he seemed embarrassed, as if he would fall onto the ground at any time.
“Bro, help me for a while!”
The teenager brought over a flock of spiders which were hunting him, which increased Lin’s stress.
But what made Lin angrier was that the teenager seemingly used Lin as his shield. The teenager directly hid himself beside Lin Xun and relaxed himself.
If Young Ke hadn’t said that killing each other was forbidden, Lin Xun would have stabbed him without a second thought.
Apparently, Lin Xun would be eliminated at once if he really did that. After all, disobeying orders was equal to being knocked out.
Perhaps, that was the reason why the teenager was so reckless and arrogant.
“Ha, bro, you seem dissatisfied with me, but I, Shin Wenbin, will give a due reward to you. My father is the commander-in-chief of the Imperial Guard of the Forbidden City, with authority on such a high position. If you’re eliminated, I’ll tell my father who will definitely make you rich forever.”
The so-called Shin Wenbin continued with an arrogant look, “Mind your behaviors, of course. If you get me into trouble, you’ll suffer a lot even if you leave the Bloodthirsty Camp.”
His voice was full of condescension and threat, as if Lin Xun was his servant.
“Idiot?”
Lin Xun asked, frowning.
Shin Wenbin instantly became furious. “How dare you scold me?”
Lin Xun said with a smile, “I’ve already insulted you, but now you’re questioning whether I dare or not. You are really an idiot.”

A hint of anger flashed through Shin’s eyes. He raised his sword and wanted to kill Lin Xun, but he finally held back his outrage. No matter how domineering he was, he was fully aware that they couldn’t kill each other at this moment.
“You bastard, you can be pleased for now. I’ll let teach you what is the living hell later,” said Shin Wenbin ghastly.
13 or 14 years old as he was, he was brutal and tyrannical. Hence, it was apparent that he had done many terrible things like that before.
“Idiot.”
Lin Xun sneered as if he didn’t want to talk to Shin Wenbin anymore.
Shin was furious with several blue veins suddenly appearing on his forehead. As soon as he thought of something, he said with a complacent smile, “Since we’re in the same boat, your curse is useless. You can do nothing but act as a shield for me. After all, you can’t stop under the attacks of Golden-flame Spiders.”
He was right. During the whole talk, Lin Xun didn’t and couldn’t stop striking back against the spiders. There were countless spiders. Once Lin stopped his moves, he would be the first one to be attacked.
However, Shin was rather relaxed compared to Lin Xun. Shin Wenbin consciously hid himself beside Lin to reduce the attacks he suffered, so he wasn’t in danger. Moreover, he could save and gradually recover his physical strength.
Since this situation was quite frustrating, whoever was taken advantage of in this way would be so wrathful that he wanted to kill Shin. Nonetheless, Lin didn’t give a damn and smiled upon seeing this.
At the same time, Lin changed his battle style completely-the darksteel saber was brandished based on “spinning” instead of “stabbing” in Six-word Saberplay.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Instantly, the air stirred by his blade point was like vortexes, rolling up the oncoming spiders and then throwing them to the other side. Consciously or unconsciously, they were thrown right in front of Shin Wenbin, intact.
Those spiders were not intelligent. The minute they found themselves alive, they rushed at Shin who was the closest to them. Shin’s face became grave again and he didn’t dare to hide himself any more. He brandished his sword to split the spiders.
When he killed those spiders, another flock was thrown towards him again by Lin Xun, which stressed him out.
“You bastard, how dare you?!”
Shin Wenbin felt stunned and angry, because he understood that Lin Xun was wreaking revenge on him.
“Ah, what are you saying? I’m busy killing the spiders. Why do you stand so close to me? By the way, since your mouth stinks, do you grow up by eating feces?”
Lin Xun looked innocent, but he didn’t slow down his hand. As he gave full play to the “spinning” in the Six-word Saberplay, the flocks of Golden-flame spiders which rushed at Lin just now felt dizzy in the air swirls caused by Lin’s saber and then were violently thrown at Shin Wenbin.

Buzz~
The Golden-flame Spiders in groups screamed horribly, and constantly hit Shin Wenbin. He was infuriated with twisted face, even wishing to kill Lin Xun with his sword at one stroke.
Though he was angry, he still had to fight against the Golden-flame Spiders, and he was too occupied to relax as before. What was worse, Shin Wenbin and Lin Xun were surrounded by layer upon layer of the Golden-flame Spiders. It was impossible to fight a way out in a short time.
That meant Shin Wenbin just couldn’t escape but have to kill them with all his strength.
“Little bastard. Wait, You motherfucker. You really pissed me off. You are so damn screwed!” Shin Wenbin roared repeatedly.
“What? Are you saying that you have eaten shit since childhood? Ha ha, are you a member of maggots’ family? No wonder you have a smelly mouth. Would your parents be very sad to know that you are so abnormal?”
Lin Xun seemed innocent, but what he said was really nasty and vicious. He grew up in mine prison where people were mostly uneducated, so he was much more experienced than Shin Wenbin in terms of name-calling.
“You are such a ….”
Shin Wenbin was too angry to speak.
At the moment, it was impossible for him to kill Lin Xun, because there were so many Golden-flame Spiders surrounding him. He could barely protect himself.
The dispute drew the attention of trainees in other areas. They reacted differently. Some were delight in their misfortunes, some with frowned brows were unpleasant for what they did or said, and some were thinking silently.
“Go out for wool and come home shorn. Pooh! What a nasty nature!” Ning Meng spat with scorn. He was far away from Lin and Shin and shouted abuse with no restraint.
“Shin Wenbin is a foppish boy in the Forbidden City. Because of his father, he is very arrogant and runs amuck; no one dares to offend him. It’s a pity that nobody cares about his identity and position here....” Shi Yu sneered; he looked at Lin Xun with a slightly different attitude.
Suddenly, one of the trainees shouted, “Brother Shin, don’t worry. Let me help you.”
In the far distance, a shadow flashed over in tremendous and horrific momentum, as if it was a flash of green light.
Qi Can!
This was the lad who performed very well in the fight for the rooms yesterday. At this moment, he was holding an iron spear, enveloped in green light, and rushing towards the Golden-flame Spiders like a god of war. The lines of surrounding spiders were shattered instantly, which was strikingly marvelous.
Bang!
He waved the iron spear, like a storm sweeping the Golden-flame Spiders within a radius of 30 meters away, and all of the spiders were smashed into powder
“We all belong to the same camp, and we are supposed to help each other. However, you do harm to one of your companions like this, which is so malicious. From today onwards, I, Qi Can, swear to stay away from those mean people like you, and never make friends with people like you!”
Qi Can held the spear with one hand and stood there, staring at Lin Xun in contempt. His forceful speech won many praises from other trainees.
After saying this, he took Shin Wenbin to the far distance, leaving Lin Xun no chance of explanation.
Lin Xun frowned upon what had happened. He couldn’t help but smile coldly. He knew that Qi Can only intended to take sides with Shin Wenbin.
Swearing to stay away from me?
Ridiculous!
Did Qi really believe that I would make up to him?
What a self-important man!
Lin Xun knew very well that what Qi had said would definitely call on others to dislike him, which was truly malicious.
At this point, Lin Xun could tell that most of the trainees who were looking at him had already become a little disgusted and hostile towards him.
Especially Shin Wenbin who had been resentfully staring at Lin Xun after being saved by Qi Can, which forced Lin Xun to consider killing him.
Lin Xun was surely a small potato compared with other trainees in the camp. However, Lin Xun had nothing to lose. If Lin was pissed off, he was capable of doing anything.
As the old saying goes, he who is not afraid of death by a thousand cuts dares to unhorse the emperor. It was also Lin Xun’s attitude: he was an orphan, and he was afraid of nothing since both Master Lu and Shia Zhi left!
Lin Xun soon put his thought into deep heart, then continued to kill the spiders with no trace of change in his look.
In the Bloodthirsty Camp, Lin Xun firmly believed that he could stay sound and safe as long as he understood the rules, abided by the rules and knew how to make good use of the rules.
Of course, Lin Xun would not hesitate to kill his enemies if he would have the chance.
It was a very simple and universally acknowledged truth that mercy to your foes is a cruelty to yourself.
On the peak, Young Ke didn’t say anything. Her beautiful face was as calm as usual.
She witnessed what had happened. However, she didn’t seem to be alarmed.
This kind of dispute was quite normal, especially in the Bloodthirsty Camp. From this day onwards, many things similar to it were going to happen, maybe crueler and bloodier.
The only thing Young Ke needed to do was to maintain the rules in the Bloodthirsty Camp. As long as the rules were not violated, she wouldn’t intervene at all.
This was Bloodthirsty Camp, where you could compete with, stand opposite and even hate each other, but all of you should first abide by the rules!
