Waking up with plane tickets waiting for her was not something Jayda thought was actually going to happen. But there she sat. At the kitchen counter. Five tickets in her inbox with a Date and Time attached.
And they only had five hours before departure. “What the fuck”
“Morning”
“Lauren, can you wake everyone up”, Jayda met the blue-haired girl's eyes, and seeing the look in them, Lauren sighed, before grabbing a pair of pans and marching back upstairs.
Not ten minutes later, Jayda had three girls in various states of awake sitting at the table. Lara was tiredly pushing her glasses back up her nose, not even bothering to untangle them from her messy red hair as she nursed a coffee as black as the void. Rey, much more of a morning person, had managed to least be somewhat coherent, aided by her cup of tea. Lauren, already dressed and prepared, had started making breakfast, whistling cheerily as she went. And Nova? Well, Nova was sitting there, seething and wet.
“Really. If you think about it”, Lauren started, glancing over at Nova, who was glaring daggers at the other, “This is your fault”
Nova slammed her hands on the countertop, leaning over the surface. “You didn’t have to dump a bucket of water on me!”
“I told you to get up”
“But a bucket of ice-cold water!”
“Hey!”, Lara, thoroughly irritated, shouted. “Shut up! It is too early for your bitching”
“Bitching!?”
“Can we focus! Please!”, Jayda joined the cacophony of chaos, “I think Saturn can hear you at this rate! Now, five minutes of silence so I can explain what the fuck is going on!”. To their credit, they did quieten. “Thank you. Now, here is what’s going on so far:
“Mangoo was kidnapped by giant robots five days ago, then a day later, Tim-Tam-Jesus was kidnapped. No one else has been taken, but whatever the robot is doing, it's targeting us. Now, 1000Mistaks and God decided to head to Jasper to conduct an investigation or something, and LanternLady offered to help. I said I wanted to come too. So now I have five plane tickets, and they're all going to Las Vegas in five hours”
“I'm coming”
“What-I didn’t even-“
“Me too”
“Same here”
“Well your not leaving me here”
“Guys!”
“Five hours yeah? That gives us two to pack, one to drive, an hour to get checked in and ready. And another hour for breathing room”, ever the organised one, Lauren began listing of necessities and handing out jobs. “We’ll leave the tickets at the front door, ill set a reminder. Nova, I need you to get the suitcases out of the cupboard-“
“Why me?”
“Because your the last one to touch the cupboard so if anyone's going to die via lintel closet, its gonna be you”
“Fair”
“Lara, I need updates on the situation. And don’t forget to pack your laptop. Both of them”

“The FBI one!?”
“The FBI one”
“Fuck yes!”
“Rey, you're in charge of keeping us on schedule. I need hourly and half-hourly updates. And Jayda, one, don’t look so shocked. Two, I need you to make sure nobody forgets anything. We don’t want another Fiji fiasco-“
“Hey!”
“Alright, people. Let's get to work”. And just like that, everyone dashed off to different parts of the house, their assignments taken with stride, leaving Jayda starstruck and dumbfounded. Sure, this wasn’t the first time she had seen Lauren command the chaotic household like a queen, but every time left her at a loss for words.
“What…The fuck”

Three and a half hours later, the four of them were watching as Lauren battled with the poor service desk clerk, who was bravely holding his ground, but was at a total disadvantage against her. “Ma’am, I’m sorry, but these tickets aren’t in our database”
“Then why”, she brandished the tickets like a sword, “Do they say that we board our plane at this airport! We have places to be! People to help! It is a matter of national security, sir! Please, I’m sure they are there”
“I will look again, but ma’am, I’m sorry, they don’t show up in our database-“
“Aren't those FBO tickets?”, So caught up in the conversation, the group didn’t notice the other worker approaching. “For the hangers on the other side of the runway”
“FBO tickets?”, Rey questioned the woman, pushing past Jayda to get a better look. “The hell are those?”
“Fixed Base Operation?”, At the confused look shared across their faces, the worker quickly explained. “There private jet tickets”
“What-!“
“What the fuck!”
“Oh shit, I think we got an email about that”. The man dashed away to another desk, pulling a piece of paper off it before hurrying back. “Here. 11 am, FBO6, Bizjet N714XY. Departing in 30”
“Wait, hang on. Holy shit. Private Jet!?”
“What the fuck is a Bizjet?”
“Who decided on an 11 am departure!”
“We gotta get you down there. I’ll call the Buggy”
“I am so sorry about that ma’am, we’ll get this cleared up right away”
“No, it's alright, I’m sorry for freaking out on you”
“Buggy’s on its way”
At the arrival of the buggy, the five piled on, backpacks and suitcases squashed between legs and precariously placed on laps as they sped through the airport, down the taxiway and over the runway, zipping through traffic with mad glee.
And ten minutes later, they arrived at their destination. FBO Hanger six, where a pristine white Jet met them, the steps down and a fancy man in a black suit and sunglasses standing guard.
“We’re gonna get MIB’d. I'm calling it now”
“Shhh…Just let me handle this”, Lauren stepped forward, leading the group towards the jet as the man turned to them. “Uh…Hi? We’re uh…”

“Jayda Sulivan?”
“Uh…I'm Lauren-“
“I'm Jayda”, Sliding up next to Lauren, Jayda waved awkwardly as the man looked over the group, then nodded and motioned to the jet.
“The cabin crew will take your larger bags, you may access them at any time during the flight. The rest of the group is already waiting aboard”, The man motioned to a stewardess who had emerged from the aircraft, “We leave in twenty”
“Wait, rest of the group?”, ascending the steps, the five girls peered into the plane, past the sleek white interior and to the two people already waiting. “Who are you?”
The dark-haired woman was the first to notice them, being the one already facing the door. She gave a small wave as her brown eyes twinkled. “Hi! I’m Daiyu Longwei, though you guys would know me as 1000Mistaks online. And this ray of sunshine is-“
“I'm Nikk Voust. You know me as God(MumBTW)”
“Yeah I figured, as soon as you started talking”
“You really do sound like Knockoff Morgan Freeman”
“Uh…Thanks. I'm guessing your…?”
“Nova”
“Right”, Jayda took a seat in one of the chairs, dropping her backpack at her feet as the rest of the group boarded. “I'm Jayda Sulivan. Online I’m BaseDropWhat. These are my roommates, they found the videos of Mangoo and Tim-Tam. This is Lauren”
“Hey”
“Lara”
“Hi”
“You’ve already met Nova”
“Yo”
“And Rey”
“Hello”
“Nice to meet you all”, Daiyu smiled as the rest of the crew boarded. “We take off soon, so why don’t we get to know each other a little better. It's a long flight”
“How long?”
“Thirteen hours, give or take”
“What!”
“Hey, we just flew from Beijing. Now that was a trip”
And then 'Lauren’ boarded, rushing up the steps with her luggage in tow. While Lauren waved from across the cabin.
“Hey, who the fuck are you?!”
“My identical twin, Sarah”
“You have an identical twin!”

“So, what do we know so far?”. Alex had seated himself on the floor, leaning against his cot and scrawling over a notebook. “Not much, huh?”
“No”, Leaning against one of the multitudes of silts lining the walls, Camille was carefully peering through the purple haze, out into the room they had been left in. “This is some kind of Warship, and our kidnapers are giant robots”
“Ten bucks on them being a Russian experiment?”
“Ten bucks on them being alien”, Camille glanced at the man sceptically, before turning back to the view. “There's no way any of this is Russian”
“They have a funky writing style”
“That's not Russian”
“How do you know?”
Turning around again, she shot him a foul look. “Because I studied Russian at school, dumbass”
“Ouch! That hurt, Cam, that hurt”, Feigning theatrics, Alex slapped the book down, dramatically dropping to the floor with a hand clutching at his heart. “Oh, I think I'm dying! I beg of you, please! Same something nice!”
“Koroleva dramy”
“What was that! Did you just Baba Yaga me! Camille”
“Shush!”, carefully moving away from the gap, she backed away towards her side of the room, eyes trained on the crimson form emerging from the far side of the room.
“Oh, how cruel you are!”
“Alex, shut up! Somethings coming!”. Almost immediately, his demeanour changed as he scrambled up onto his bead, pushing g the notebook underneath in the process.
“Ya feckin’ eejit, Cam. Why didn’t you lead with that?”. Both backed into the corners of their prison, watching with bated breath as the cherry form steadily marched closer. And then, much like a lightbulb, Camille turned to Alex, a plan already forming in her mind. “What?”
“Pass me that shelf”
“What!”
“Shut up. There magnetic, now pass it to me”
“Ah bollocks. I swear if you knock me out with this thing”. Ever so carefully, he pried the shelf away, handing it to her as she scrambled atop her own. And then, with hearts racing, they watched as the ceiling of their enclosure lifted up, exposing the vastness of the room their box had been placed in, and silhouetted by the low purple lights, a white face framed in red metal smeared down at them with ruby eyes. “Come on little humans, it's dinner time”
Alex flinched, harsh enough that the towering alien turned its attention to him, long enough for Camille to slip the shelf between the gap in the metals.
“Uch, you humans always gross me out”, And with that, a crate fell to the floor, and the creature turned away, dropping the lid of their box with a less than a gentle bang. “Knockout to lord Megatron. The humans have been fed”. Alex was the first to move, slowly inching off the bed and towards the slit to each the towering form retreat. “Primus, why was I tasked with this. Soundwave is the one that brought them in”. And then the door sealed with a hiss and the two let ought heavy sighs.
“Hey”, Camille motioned to the shelf, wedged between the box’s lid and wall, the faintest sliver of light escaping from the seam. “Help me with this”
“This being?”
“Our escape”
Alex leapt onto the bed beside her, the two pulling the shelf down, using the motion to move the lid back until there was enough room for Camille to wiggle out and push it over enough for Alex to follow. “Damn, how’d you know that would work?”
“Simple physics. Plus it's not my first time breaking out of a place”
“What!”
