7 days after the explosion - The palace

Susan felt like sh-t when she "woke up" since she barely slept. She may had accomplished her mission by forcing the guard to react and letting him knock her out, but the consequences of her actions hunt her all night

Every time she tried to sleep, she would have a nightmare of Elena bleeding to dead, or she blaming Susan for her dead, Susan ending up on the dungeon for treason, etc. She even end up throwing up a couple of time when awoken and felt really sick most of the time.

With the help of makeup, her inner mana and outer mana, she managed to hide her physical state for most of the day, but no matter how good she was with healing magic and how much she fixed her body, she couldn't fix her guilt.

And, of course, her "father" didn't help her guilt when he gave her a new mission when she visit him in the evening. If it wasn't for the DNI check she did when she was young, she would dream that he wasn't actually her father, and her mother was only taking advantage of him

First Susan reported her activities, including her "attempt" to stop the guard, her failure at finding out what was he doing at the magic university and that the prince knew that she was spying on him. The duke didn't find it strange that he knew she was reporting to him, since he had realised this last few days that the prince was more competent than everyone thought, so he didn't blame her for not managing to convince him to let her come into the magic university, besides it was more a curiosity than something important, or he would have told her to find out no matter what

Since he was really pleased with her success at letting the culprit go so he can kill him without the prince notice(he had to pay both a contract killer and some guards to dispose him and make sure he wouldn't talk) the duke told her of her new "test". Since the paperwork for the prince had accumulated for days now, the prince would need help to manage all the work, and her job would be to help him

If she manages to get him to help her, the duke would give her some especial glasses and after changing some of the paper, he would have them mark and her job would be to make the prince sign them without him notice the content. The danger would be low at the start but depending on how thing proceeds, he would be able to slip more dangerous papers, and of course he would be really pleased if she accomplishes this task without problems

She, of course, accepted her "test" and promise to carry it out flawlessly, making the duke really pleased with her attitude. Still, even if she acted confidently, on the inside she was a complete mess.

When she decided to work for the duke, she imagines she would do dirty work, but the worst she could ever imagine was seducing a disgusting man, finding dirty secrets or help ruin someone's reputation. She never imagines she would help in the dead of two people(almost 3) and betray her country multiple times

8 days after the explosion - the palace

Another night of nightmares, but this time they include her father stabbing her while saying good work or the prince with a sword of his back cursing her to dead. The extra pressure the duke put on her and having to betray her country again wasn't helping her state of mind. Thanks to all this, she was worse than yesterday and she even slip on her magic "fix" while eating breakfast but she managed to blame it on menstruation

And in the end she confirmed what the duke told her yesterday and understood why he was so sure the prince would need help. When the old butler with the monocle took them to a room, she found In front of her a mountain of paper that would take a lifetime to clear alone.

So as soon as the prince requested help, she made sure to be as useful as possible while searching for the mysterious market papers in the pile. She did find a couple at the top, but there was nothing too strange there, just to omit some little stuff, probably to see how the prince reacted

In the end, she spend all day helping with the paperwork and even managed to slip the papers without problems

14 days after the explosion - The palace

After a week of work, she was a mess. Even with her magic and makeup she couldn't hide her sorry state, but she did manage to blame it on the paperwork since everyone else was also tired, but the real reason was different. Of course, the constant reading tired her a lot, but each passing day, the amount of marked papers also increased, and each time was more obvious of the criminal activities. Each time the prince sign the paper, cold sweat was running behind Susan's back and she was constantly worried about when she would get caught

To make it worse, she could barely sleep thanks to the nightmares and the guilt, so she was a completely mess after the long hours of work, the constant stress and the few hours of sleep every day for a week. So the prince escaping the palace was a blessing for her

She went to report to the duke since she had missed a week of reports thanks to all the work, and she confirmed that all the paper passed without a problem. To her surprise, the duke asked if she was ok since she looked ill, but she said that she was only tired of all the work and with a day off she would be ok. In the end, the duke told her that her dedication to the family pleased him, but she should take better care of her body. Of course she told him that she would, to make sure he wouldn't have doubts about her ability to manage complicated stuff and left the mansion after saying goodbye(and getting some "pocket-money" from the duke)

Before returning to the palace, she chose to go an apothecary and buy something to help her sleep before she breaks. She asked the receptionist what was best to sleep without dreaming and she recommended an aroma tea bags. She paid 2 silvers gladly and as soon as she got back to her room, she use it and felt asleep

15 days after the explosion - the Palace

She woke up the next day after someone knock at her door, but since that someone kept knocking unlike the usual waking knock, she wore a robe she kept around and open the door, to find the prince on the other side

"Sorry to wake you up so early but I need you to do something for me"(prince) said with trying discreetly to catching a glee of her slightly exposed boobs(he was human you know)

"what is it?"(Susan) said while grabbing her robe better with one hand to cover better her exposed parts

"I need you and Aria to dress in casual cloth since we are going out, I will send Aria in a little while, so pick something for her since I don't really trust her taste,can you do it"(prince)

"Sure, I should have something nice she can wear"(Susan) couldn't argue with Aria's taste since she probably only had training clothes and armor

"Ok, meet me in the room at the end of the hallway when you are ready"(prince) left after saying the directions

Susan wondered what was the prince planning but still got her's and Arias cloth ready and went to change. She found her complexion a little better after a good night of sleep, but she still wasn't a 100% ok and still felt like throwing up went she thought all she had done and would have to do from now on.

When she finish getting, it didn't take long for Aria to arrive and after she was also done, the two of them went to the room prince mention, but her mind went blank when she saw who was inside

She had suspected that the guy that helped/robbed her in the past was the prince, but when she saw him in front of her eyes, her mind couldn't process.

What was he doing here?was he the prince? why was he dressed like that?why did he help her?why would he rob her? what was he planning? what would he think if he finds out what she did? etc....

All this questions made her go in an eternal loop, and even when the prince tried to wake her up, all she could do was follow them while trying to process this information.

She managed to follow them until they reached the podium without been completely aware of what was going on around her until the sound of an explosion woke her up
