Intermission 3 - The Demon
I am Assassin. A ninja that serves my creator Dasas. The youngest of my sisters to be created. The fourth companion of his party. My racial settings have been set to be a high demon. Belonging to the Demon Empire in the world of Arlenia.
As a ninja my job is to blend into the shadows. Attack without being seen or detected. This means that I must be perfectly silent. Move swiftly without disturbing the environment around me.
As a result of being so good at my job being very quiet. I end up having trouble talking. When I do speak it is hard for people to hear me apparently. It troubles me greatly when people can’t hear what I say. Especially if it is my creator. I realize I have a shy personality too and hate to be seen. I am used to blending with the environment around me and generally being well unseen.
During my time on Arlenia. I spent most of it with my sisters and my little brother Rider. We carry out tasks for our creator. My creator does not spend much time with me as he does with my older sisters Saber and Caster. Makes me feel a little lonely.
With my shy personality. I am unable to get myself to ask creator to spend more time with me. I can only hope he will notice me more on his own. When my creator does spend time with me. He always greeting me in a funny way.
“Hey there sexy…” –Dasas
It is the body that my creator designed for me after all. I am proud of it. Seems to be the preference of my creator. My other sisters have more slender and petite bodies. It in a way it makes me feel a little special. I am recognized for something by my lord Dasas.
There is not much to say about my time on Arlenia. I passed the time mainly in the mansion of my creator. I only go out to hunt for items needed to help with the creation of the god-class weapon for him. I was somewhat content with the peaceful life I led with the others. Then something happened to change everything for our party. We end up transporting to another world. Along with my creator’s home.

The first time I heard the news about us being transported to another world. I was nervous and a little excited. This means my creator might rely on me more to face this crisis. Surely enough, my creator did rely on me quite a bit when we arrived on this foreign world. It fills me with joy.
Our party along with our creator got into battles on this new world. Safe to say I consider the enemies of this world to be quite weak. My creator also took in a little slave girl. Training her as a warrior and named her Lancer. Since my lord Dasas named her. We all ended up seeing her as one of us.
As time went on. I felt something in me start to slowly change. While we were in this new world and it scared me. An unknown hunger will surface occasionally. I can’t seem to satisfy it with food and worried me greatly.
I kept this issue to myself. I was too embarrassed to ask for help from my creator or my siblings. That’s when a number of human adventurers tried to invade my lord’s home. I discovered what it was that I hungered for.
When the human adventurers attacked our party. It was not a big issue as we learned they too are weak. Same as our previous foes. Not worth spending much of our power to overcome. When our party pretty much annihilated the enemy group and leaving two of them left alive.
There was one that ran away to escape. I was tasked to hunt him down. While chasing after this new prey. My hunger grew greatly in excitement as I got closer.
That’s when the prey or in this case the adventurer stopped to take a breath. I cast a ninja illusion technique on him to trap him. I want to learn the reason as to why my unusual hunger was reacting to this man. As I got closer to him. I lost myself to instinct. I end up using my first kiss on this stranger.
I felt myself literally drain something from the man. Great satisfaction overwhelmed me with bliss. That’s when I notice the man’s body became shriveled up and dry like an old tree. I learn later that I ate his soul. To learn that I end up eating that man’s soul frightened me to no end. I felt myself becoming a monster and feared my creator would abandon me.

Again, I kept my anxieties locked in my heart. I was too afraid to consult everyone about my condition. Some time passed and our group started a journey to a new town to collect supplies. When we arrived in that town. We noticed a temple of some sort and my lord Dasas ordered me to burn it down.
In my excitement to receive a new mission from my creator. I went out to destroy this temple in fervor. Also, I decide to quench this new hunger that I been having. This is a perfect chance. I end up draining the souls of various people located within and around the church. I proceed to finish up the mission of burning the church down. I decide to eat multiple souls as to stock up. I can relieve this hunger for a longer period of time.
I don’t need to kiss my victims to eat their souls. At most I just need my hand on their head. I don’t want to repeat the mistake of having intense hunger take over me again. Like it did with the one man and end up kissing. The draining of souls on so many people while burning down the church was a huge mistake on my part. The town started to rally up in retaliation.
As a result. I was asked to leave town first for safety reasons. All the townspeople started to attack our group. We were able to easily repel the attackers. However, we end up destroying the entire town, and the very land it was on to escape. I felt extremely bad at the time. I let down my creator and my fellow siblings. After that we wandered aimlessly on the road. My lord Dasas spaced out a lot. It was probably because of me, so I felt depressed.
That’s when more trouble arrived. We got near to a stone-walled city in the distance surrounded by vast farmlands. A white-haired woman dressed in white descended on us from the sky and attacked. As that woman unleashed an attack. My Lord Dasas grabbed me and held me close to his chest. He covered me from the blast of whatever that woman was releasing.
At that moment my mind went blank. My heart was pounding furiously at the incident. Never before has my creator embraced me. I felt so safe and secure in his arms. Like nothing can ever harm me. Then the woman’s attack stopped. He let go of me and I felt a little lonely afterwards.
It seems Caster and Archer took the brunt of the attack. They were on the ground bleeding. Their insides pouring out. A gruesome scene. That is when I notice my lord in his great fury transform into a majestic beautiful crystal dragon, and attacked the woman.
Afterwards, when the battle ended. The victory going to the woman in white. She left with parting words of war to my creator. We the losers were left with a death of one of our comrades, and it was Caster. Miraculously, she was revived by my lord.
However, it seems she was revived as a monster that drinks blood. In a sense she was similar to me and was also accepted by our creator. After that event great relief filled my heart and soul. Knowing that my lord Dasas cares for us.
Also it seems my eyes can’t stop gazing at my creator. My heart beats furiously thinking of him. I wonder if this is a sort of sickness. Things been turning bad for me since coming to this new world.
“Errr what are you looking at Assassin?” –Dasas
It seems my lord caught me looking at him. For some reason I turn away and look down in embarrassment. Heat rises up to my face. Ah, I fear for my future. I became a soul eater and now I am coming down with some kind of sickness.
