Lancer and me make way to the adventurer guild counter manned by a middle aged woman. She just finished up servicing someone so we did not have to wait long.
“Welcome to the Ezra town branch of the adventurer’s guild. How may I help you?” –Middle aged woman
“Ah yes. I would like to register this little-one as an adventurer. If possible.” –Dasas
I pat the head of Lancer while smiling to the middle aged woman working as a receptionist. To better prep Lancer to become independent in the future. I thought of having her gain various job skills. Letting her name spread as an adventurer might help her get connections in the future. Social networking is the best way to earn a name. In a sense money too if done well. At least that is what I learned on earth. I use [Scan] on the receptionist.
Paula Deen – Receptionist – Eccentric Cook – Level 3
“Umm Sir...you wish to have this young girl. Register as an adventurer? Are you sure? –Paula
“Yes Paula. I am sure.” –Dasas
“How did you know my name…well anyway. I must tell ya that this profession is a dangerous one. Most probably not very suitable for such a young girl.” –Paula
“BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! A little girl wants to be an adventurer? This must be a joke!!” -???
I turn. To see who was laughing like an idiot. A large man around 213cm tall with scruffy long brown hair. He is also shirtless and wearing a brown leather-like bikini bottom. Looks disgusting on his fat hairy muscular bear frame. I use [Scan] on this voyeuristic fool.
Conan – Ezra Town Adventurer Guild Chief – Level 18
“Crom…I ask thee…what is the riddle of steel?” –Dasas
“Hah? What are you talking about?” –Conan
It seems that my lame jokes will not be understood in this foreign world. Such a shame.
“Nevermind…anyway. Is there a rule forbidding a young girl from becoming an adventurer?” –Dasas
“Hahaha! Well there is no such rule. It is common sense that being an adventurer requires strength. So this profession requires strong men. While female adventurers do exist. They are rare. No way such a little girl will have enough strength to kill monsters. At most she can give a good fight to my little son here.” –Conan

I see him rubbing his crotch. While laughing. He is starting to annoy me.
“If it is strength. This little-one has enough to kill monsters. She can probably do it better than you.” –Dasas
“Ohh. Is that so? Pfft. Then does that mean she can take a duel with me? And not become a meat patty?” –Conan
“Sigh…well. I can assure you this little-one can definitely hold her own against your weak ass. If that is what you are asking?” –Dasas
“Big words fella. Then come at me little girl. I be sure to treat you gently. If this is your first time.” –Conan
The man Conan smiles lecherously. His right hand motions Lancer to come. The other hand rubbing his crotch. He is totally underestimating Lancer’s combat ability. Not even bothering to unsheathe the claymore off his back. I will have Lancer agree to this duel. I want to see how much an effect the enchanted gear on her will give. Against an opponent with a eight level difference.
“Little-one. Show this fool. What it means to provoke you.” –Dasas
“Yes master!!” –Lancer
Lancer smiles savagely with bloodlust flowing. She readies her battle stance. Her bronze spear is pointing slightly downwards towards the man named Conan.
“Ohhhhh. I’m so scared!! Little girl it looks like you have nice equipment on. But that won’t save you from being made a toy for my little son here.” –Conan
Conan still proceeds to grab his crotch with his left hand. He doesn’t bother readying his battle stance. It seems like everyone we meet in this world act like stupid aggressive perverted animals. Makes me wonder if there are any civilized people at all.
“I am Lancer. A servant under the great being known as Dasas!! Prepare yourself!!” –Lancer
Lancer moves fast but it is slow motion in my eyes. She readies her spear and pierces Conan’s left hand that is still holding his crotch. I do not know if it was intentional or it was because Lancer is short. So such a vital point is easier to reach for her, but damn. I notice all the men in the building had their legs bent inward.

Conan gives out a deathly scream like it was from a dying woman. I did not expect it from such a large man. This cause everyone in the building from the tavern to the guild to turn silent and stare in surprise. There is no intention of getting involved.
“Well snap!! You think this is good enough? To qualify her as an adventurer now?” –Dasas
I said that with an arrogant sneer to spite the guild chief. I notice Conan is turning red in fury. He unsheathes the claymore from his back with his right hand. While his bloody left hand still holding his bleeding crotch.
“I will beat this little girl. Then kill her guardian. Make the girl into a slave! No one hurts and mocks the great guild chief Conan! And gets away with it!!” –Conan
I notice Saber at the table in the tavern section is standing up. She releases massive bloodlust and it scares all the nearby patrons. I raise my hand as a signal to stop her. I then pat Lancer’s head to let her know it is my turn to fight this dumb fool. While I am standing in front of Lancer. I see Conan is readying his battle stance as he swings the claymore straight at my head.
“I guess a guardian will have to take responsibility for their kids. Please die!!” –Conan
I simply stop his sword attack by pointing out my index finger. While yawning.
“A weakling like you. Is not worthy of sending me to Valhalla. You fail answering the riddle of steel.” –Dasas
“Impossible…who are you…” –Conan
“Just someone a peon like yourself is not worth knowing.” –Dasas
I then notice the middle-aged woman named Paula leaving from behind the counter and approaches us while smiling.
“Now. Now. You boys calm down with these here treats. I just whipped up.” –Paula
This woman is holding onto a plate full of greasy looking food. A bunch of very sweet looking cakes are added onto the side. She took out this plate of food out of nowhere. Makes me wonder how she did it.
“Where did that food appear from? Who do you think you are to interfere with me?” –Dasas
“Oh this food is a trade secret. I am Paula Deen with a noble background, but no title. I am the wife of the town chief. My dream is to open a restaurant and to run it with one of my sons. I’m training to be the world’s best cook.” –Paula
I notice this Paula woman is handing a cake to Lancer. While smiling like a dumb airhead. Is she retarded?
“Well. I want no trouble. I just want to register this little-one as an adventurer. If that is no problem?” –Dasas
“Hohohohoho! That should be no problem. She did prove her strength. Isn’t that so chief?” –Paula
“……..Ah yes….no problem. She is allowed to register.” –Conan
I notice the shoulders of Conan slump as he walks away. Like a loser dog with his tail between his legs. That is when the silence of the building become noisy. The racket of adventurers and tavern patrons alike. They start talking about what just transpired.
I am just glad this incident is resolved with no massacre happening. Which is always a good thing in my book. So many things been going wrong lately. When things finally start to look up. I feel all giddy. It is so sad.
Paula is writing down the registration information for Lancer on a parchment with an inked quill. Then explaining to her some things about the adventurer profession. I did not bother to listen to most of the necessary procedures. I am thinking about what to do after this.
We first should head for an Inn. Then shop for some supplies. I also want to stay at least a couple of days in the town to sight see. Learn how people in this world live.

No harem! I don't trust myself to make a harem feel natural or healthy, I never met any person who has a personality that can adapt and live in a harem for reasons that are not monetary, so I can't draw inspiration from real life. Sorry!; 2. The enemies will not be bland and illogically mean. Some may feel like that at first, but I will take great care in fleshing them out, trust me. You may end up hating some, but you won't be able to deny that they had their reasons for what they did; 3. I am using a paid (and expensive) automated editor tool, and I take longer to write because I take my time in editing the stuff. I am aiming to improve and I will not shy away from constructive criticism, nor take offense for no reason; 4. Characters will die and will suffer, some will get over the tragedies and improve, others will not be as resilient. 5. This novel has a lot of ground to cover, it is neither a short story, a manual on crafting, or the script of some action scene. There will be both time skips and oversimplifications of some actions for the sake of moving the story forward. Time skips will be more prominent in the first 30 chapters. I will describe crafting processes and fights with more detail if they are essential for the chapter; 6. If I took my time describing something, it's because it is important. I hate novels that waste time describing useless stuff. If you skim over something, the chances are that something in the future will not make sense. I am an adept of "Chekhov's gun" principle; 7. I already have 31k words on my auxiliary documents, I have a plan for the story, and I will not be making changes even if someone ends up noticing some foreshadowing and figures out what will happen. The story comes first. 8. I have a wife, a job that demands 9h every day and courses related to my job (lawyer) three days of the week, it's unlikely that I will be able to do mass releases at all. I will have a healthy amount of chapters to be able to post at least 1 chapter every day continually. Don't worry. 9. I will read all the comments. I will listen to all you have to say and will try my best to accommodate demands as long as they do not hamper the path I prepared. 10. There is an arc that spans the entire novel. Each volume will be an arc in itself while progressing a little bit of the main arc. Every arc will have one or more main antagonists. I think that's it! Thank you for reading it all. Have an awesome time reading my first novel!!

AOT: Boats
I know, the title doesnt seem to make sense. Its an acronym. For what? Hm. T means True. Up to you otherwise. Oh, right. The acronym actually does have an impact on one of the themes of the "story". At the same time I mixed it up with a reference to the original plan for this when I started, so yay. A double. Well, actually, a triple. Again, up to you. I should also mention that, as the rhyme that starts the story probably tells you, its gonna get kinda disturbing. All kinds of disturbing. Just to let you know.
